    Default New truck, WHEEE!!!!

On friday I get to pick up my new vehicle. A rather nice 2002 sonoma. After wrecking my poor sonata in an unfortunate incident, I have been on the lookout for a pickup truck, as they are my vehicle of choice. Too bad its so damn hard to find a decent pickup truck for under 7 grand. Even another 3k would have widened the available pool in a big way.

It's all about keeping an ear to the ground, so to say. There's a lot of junkers out there, but look through the 3-6k range enough and you'll eventually strike gold. In my case, literally. I got a gold colored '02 ford focus in 2005 that only had 86,000 miles for about 5k. Aside from a new set of tires, it was basically in brand new condition since it was in that mileage range where the original owner would have had to replace a bunch of stuff.

My parents got a ford escort brand new off the lot for 10k after the focus came out because they almost literally couldn't even give them away after that.
Witty sig here nosey, aren't ya?

Yeah, I actually brought up a list of like 8 trucks at the 7k or less range. Most in decent condition. I WAS going to get a mazda b2300, but the car salesman was a real punk. Made it a serious pita to take it to a mechanic to get it checked out, then when I tried to bargain with him, (he had made sure to mention he was willing to be flexible on the price before hand) he was full of garbage like, "Oh, WELL, I guess I could take so much off, but in exchange you lose the 6 month guarantee" blah blah blah. And after I knocked a bit of cash off the price, somehow, magically, all the fees and such brought us right back to the original price anyways. I was born AT night, not last night. I hope the truck sits there till it rots.
