It's probably been stated before, but in 858, after Tarquin pushes Sabine out of the way, you can see in the next panel that Nale seems to have caught her. It's a small thing, but their relationship has always been one of my favorite parts of those two, so it's somewhat sweet to see.

The background of 606 is just one giant image of Belkar.

Why is there blood dripping from the TV screen in 914?

Because it's a blood pasma TV.

I just noticed the fiendish snail on the rock in the background. Haley's still wearing her desert outfit, too, which according to her conversation with the merchant who sold it to her means that she's likely fighting this particular battle in shorts.

Just noticed that in 917 Tarquin refers to "Rob Redblade" as a generic fighter replacement for Roy...
    http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0917.html

That this is not the first time "Redblade" is used in this manner: Xykon screws up Roy's name and calls him this back in 112.

    ...Whoa.
    Nice!

I just noticed the neat wee (if obvious) parallel in the most recent arc

After learning that his cleric friend has been slain and vampirised, the leading Fighter Roy comes close to falling apart, yet manages to keep going with the help of his party.
After learning that his vampiric cleric friend has been slain, the leading Fighter Tarquin begins to unravel – and subsequently falls to pieces following the loss of his best friend/voice of reason/sanity-compass.

I remember that feeling too, and it is a truly sad day when anybody here is outsmarted by Belkar.
A game is a fictional construct created for the sake of the players, not the other way around. If you have a question "How do I keep X from happening at my table," and you feel that the out-of-game answer "Talk the the other people at your table" won't help, then the in-game answers "Remove mechanics A, B, and/or C, impose mechanics L, M, and/or N" will not help either.

I realized this one in another thread: In strip 431, Redcloak creates several undead monsters. I never noticed the books with the initials of what sourcebooks they were lying on the ground (or the Demon Roach's joke about BoVD).

That's clearly them, since the BoVD features the Eye of Fear and Flame, the FF contains the Huecuva and MM2 has the Death Knight, so they are the sources Redcloack used

I noticed this a while back, and I believe it was a printer issue - when DCF went to the printers, Rich found that he came out looking really weird on the paper, so he picked colors that looked better to recolor DCF and stuck with it from then on.

I think I knew that be had printer problems, I just didn't realize that he recolored stuff afterwords. I guess I need to read the commentary in DCF a little more carefully.

IIRC it's actually mentioned in NCFTPB. It should be in conjunction with the end of the Starmetal sidequest where he talks about his sprained wrist and Elan learning the kazoo and how he did the art upgrades and fixed the characters to the new printer friendly scheme.

For the longest time I read this as:

: Sabine, dearest, I think our guest needs one-more of your energy-draining kisses to remind him of his current bind.

But I just now realized it's actually

: Sabine, dearest, I think our guest needs one-more of your energy-draining kisses to remind me of his current bind.

    Which changes the meaning entirely.

Edited so as not to double-post:

Nothing is more formal than a sash. NOTHING. (Second-to-last panel)
