Default Re: Whirlybird (New Feat 3.5)

i covered that in my last post. i'll edit the feat once i get some more feedback, but so far, the only criticisms i've heard were either about the fact that you can fly with an ax (it was a goofy idea to begin with, which i've made clear), or that it shouldn't be able to compare to the fly spell. i may leave it as is, and just add in a BAB prerequisite..
78% of DM's started their first campaign in a tavern. If you're one of the 22% that didn't, copy and paste this into your signature.

    Where did you start yours?

The PCs were already a special forces type unit in a kingdom's military, so the campaign started in the general's office.

I know exactly how the orcs are flying when they shouldnt be able to, Gruumsh thinks its cool so he screws with physics.

On another note im all for buffing mundanes, i love playing fighters and thankfully ive never actually felt useless. Mainly because my DMs never throw anything at us that a fighter or other martial guy doesnt at least have a chance to do something to.

I do love the fact that i could fly without magic though, and the image in my head made me lol

I don't know about you all, but I could totally see a Waaagh! of Orks flying like helicopters with this feat... Fits perfectly with the Ork's lore!

    Technically, that was thread necromancy.

Orks, I suppose (maybe; I know rather little about Warhammer). Orcs, not so much. Spelling matters.

See the feats section of my Falling Anvil thread for a similar feat.
