OOTS trading card game?
This idea has been in my head for quite some time, but I feel as though that the Order of the Stick series should have a trading card game.
I mean, just think about it for a moment.........
Wouldn't be cool if we had a deck of adventurers, awesome class and racial powers, magical items, and heroes and villains.
Wouldn't it be cool if we could pit your party of adventurers and pit them against somebody else's adventuring party?
Just a thought though..........

Re: OOTS trading card game?
no thanks, we already have too many trading card game as it is. There could be a magic set inspired to oots, unglued style, and that's it.
In memory of Evisceratus: he dreamed of a better world, but he lacked the class levels to make the dream come true.
Ridiculous monsters you won't take seriously even as they disembowel you
my take on the highly skilled professional: the specialized expert

Re: OOTS trading card game?
Setup:
Buy the OOTS board game.
Set aside the room deck for now.
Each player selects PCs from the PC cards.
Each player draws a hand from the combined Monsters + ScrewYou deck.
Play:
On your turn, you may do one of the following:
. "summon" a monster from your hand, placing it face up in front of you.
. "prepare" a schtick by laying it face down in front of you (rules on flipping schticks as usual thereafter)
. Declare attacks by your PC and/or monsters (combat procedes as usual)
. After combat, the winner collects loot as usual.
Play ScrewYou cards as interrupts (as dictated on the card)
Winning:
Play continues until all players get bored and decide to do something else.
Expansion 1: Each room in the room deck has unique properties. Before combat, select a room at random and put it into play as the "arena". Subsequent combat during that round occurs within that room (apply bonuses and penalties as usual).
Expansion 2: To preserve the most important element of CCGs, the expense of forcing every player to buy their own deck, each player must buy their own copy of the OOTS board game and supply their own monsters, PCs and screw you cards.Last edited by Smolder; 2012-12-04 at 04:28 PM.

Re: OOTS trading card game?
Make it a Munchkin spinoff, because there certainly off enough of those and Steve Jackson Games doesn't have enough of my cash already.
