Kurt, infuriated at being taken down in his weakened state, his anger builds as Mithril's magics course through his body, speeding his reactions. He doesn't bother to even stands as he rolls about, his Greataxe whirling to keep the large predator at bay...

Miriam

Miriam, torn between protecting Kurt and healing Natalia begins a strong cant to the Cudgel, a strong caphony is released, catching two of the Wolves and sparing the party... Both Wolves are caught unaware for a moment, sparring both their lives...as least for the moment.

Shiny's first spell is as quick as a flash, his fingers moving from the pouch at his side to point towards the wolf in almost no time at all. Once it's complete, he grabs the reins.

"Hi yo, Tinkertoy!" Shiny shouts, urging his pony forward. He rides forward between the stunned dire wolf and the unconcious one, then rides the entire way around to approach from the other side. Once there, he splays out his palm at the dire wolf threatening Mithril, and unleashes a rainbow of colors.

Shiny first tries to Distract Assailant DW4, then rides around, passing Natalia, to threaten DW4 and cast color spray. If the Distract Assailant succeeds, and DW4 is therefore incapable of AoOs, he moves to Q22. Otherwise, he moves to Q21 to make sure he is not in range of an attack of opportunity while casting his spell.

I note that he has a DC 1 lower than usual because of the geas effect.

Ouch, I'm guessing it made both. At least it is under Unsettling Enchantment.

As Shiny attempts his spells, he has particular difficulty affecting the minds of the Dire Wolf, with a shake of its head it seems to shake off the affects of Shiny's spells, though it appears unsettled by the experience.

Dire Wolf

With the threat of Valen's blade immenant, the Wolf lashes out with its ferocious Jaws... managing to pierce the magic armaments of Valen and ruthlessly rips the large man to the ground.


Valen

As Natalia cuts down one Dire Wolf, Valen it taken down by the Huge wolf, he quickly channels energy into his blade, bringing it down in heavy strokes into the standing Dire Wolf...effortlessly bringing one heavy stroke around to the next cleanly felling the beast with thanks to Mithril's powerful magics quickening his blade even as he lays on the ground.

Mithril staggered to her feet, watching the bloodbath around her. Her hands moved in a dizzying pattern, almost juggling air as three orbs of power appeared. They hurtled over the horses heads to strike the wolf attacking Natalia.

Amazingly this did not frighten Honey. Instead the horse looked at peace, in her element in the thick of battle. Honey stood still and stable as Mithril leaned against her using her for support.

I don't want to just weaken the one Kurt is fighting more, since he will probably take it out in one hit anyway. So instead I will try to make it so Natalia can kill the one near her.

With the Dire Wolf unable to respond, Kurt grunts as he rolls, standing upright. Still weakened he raises his axe and attempts to bring it down with tremendous force... With a loud wet thwack he brings th beast to the ground.

"Thanks!" Natalia shouts to Mithril as the three orbs knock the stunned wolf off her body. Natalia follows, flipping herself over in an almost somersault as she brings her blades down on the beast's hide, trying to finish it off.

Lisk had told her once, as her golden eagle soared overhead, that some tribes used the majestic bird to hunt wolves.

As Natalia jams the razorsharp blade into the eye socket of the wolf, a tremendous jolt is sent up through her arm. Numb, she is forced to let go of Alabastor's dagger as her right arm dangles useless.

Natalia falls back as the dagger...spasms or something, crying out as it burns up her arm. Scrambling to her feet, it's only when she's on her knees that she notices her arm lying numb and useless, like a dead branch. And her left arm is torn and bloody, with deep chunks of flesh and muscle hewn off.

"No," she whimpers at her dead arm. "No no please please please no."

After seconds that feel like eons it slowly twitches back to life, and Natalia folds over, crying in held back pain and relief. Gingerly now, Natalia picks up the dagger that so suddenly betrayed her and takes a close look at it. It looks much the same...no! Are those hairline cracks in the adamantine?

With cold fear in her stomach, Natalia limps over to Mithril and Valen, helping them up. "You...You okay? I...Thank you, Valen, for helping protect..." she asks, nearly collapsing around them, trying not to press her wounded arm against their skin or clothes. "I...Arms, hurt...Something happened..."

[Zman]

Miriam spends a few moments healing the worst wounds as the group prepares to make haste to the NorthEastern Outpost.

Natalia closes her eyes and smiles as Miriam's cool touch closes up her wound and fills in much of the missing muscle, though a pink crater of a scar still remains...hopefully only as long as it takes for further healing.

Natalia turns to Mithril and says, "Thank you...magic saved me, saved us...So did Honey..." She shakes her head. "Something happened, with the dagger. Burning and numb, killed the wolf, tried to kill my arm. Like Kurt's axe from the orc, almost." She clutches her hair. "Can't say it, can't make words right! But...but can think it, know it..."
