She dries off her hands and gives a little shurg. She also glances up at any clock around.

"I should get going, I have some stuff I need to take care off. I don't suppose you could send me those plans for the land bridge?"

She moves over to start collecting the camping equipment he is lending her.

"Sure thing. And...come back anytime, alright?"
BR scoops a datapad off a nearby desk, stepping up to hand it over...and to hug Angie tightly!

Oh, nothing much, really... my paladin had her baby recently though! She giggles. I got to be there for her as her goddess, her friend, and a fellow mother, which is really great...

Angela makes a face. I'm dreading my inevitable pregnancies.

Divebomb, the aspiring superhero who recently joined HALO on a trial basis, returns from her day on patrol. Part of which was accompanied by Matthew, shortly before he slipped into deadtime. Could've been useful during the bank robbery too. Hopefully he put in a good word with Tobias at least.

Tobias is just the person DB goes to see, wandering the halls in search of somewhere familiar. Mee gave her a little tour, a while back, so this shouldn't be too hard.

In the dorm area of the base, one bedroom door has been replaced by a portal to a winter wonderland. Well, actually, the portal just leads to a glade in the middle of a forest on another world, where it just happens to be snowing. Tobias can be found inside.

DB wanders inside, her breath suddenly visible in the cold. If Tobias is immediately visible, she'll wave and shout, "Hey boss!"

Gel is trying not to think about the dynamics of such a portal. She came through one like this to reach the Nexus, but it was a much more subtle transition. A flat-out door to somewhere else is entirely new.

The fox-eyed Commander is a short distance inside, lashing together spars and branches to build a structure of some kind. Oh, hey. What's up? He takes a moment to recognize Divebomb, then continues his work.

"I was here to ask about my membership status," Gel explains, glancing upward to watch the snow. She seems briefly entertained by the flakes falling and melting on her visor. "I like this place!"

Strike Team Alpha is led by Samantha and contains Danielle, Theodore, and Christopher. Strike Team Omega is just the Bushranger and myself. Everyone else is fair game to be harassed, coerced, persuaded, cajoled, bribed, enticed, extorted, and otherwise bothered to join your team or provide support in whatever capacity they can.

Once she's in the base proper, Gel proceeds to wander once again, looking for someone interesting that she might add to her team.

As Gel leaves, Tobias calls after her. Look for a man calling himself Samael. He can be convinced to join you.
Then he starts lashing together several logs to make a roof for his structure, to keep off the snow.

Gel takes note, and will head off through the base in search of Samael. She can run into just about anybody, though.

Should Gel choose, she can run into Nai in the observation room. He is a gunslinger of sorts in a long white coat, which his face and hands completely wrapped in gauze.

Grant might be seen walking the halls.

Gel/Divebomb will run into Nai first, but Grant is welcome to enter the observation room then. She peers at the stranger from the doorway, trying to guess what sort've hero he might be, before hopping forward to greet him.

"Hi there. What's your name?" That introduction's never failed her before, especially with such a cheery disposition.

Grant stops in the doorway and observes quietly. He had heard from Lee that Nai was sometimes not very receptive to people, though it had been sometime since he was here.

She's off in the kitchen, munching on some ice-cream. Simply because ice-cream.

Samael walks into the kitchen, holding a dark bottle and a slotted silver spoon. He's wearing a tight, white dress shirt, a crisp emerald tie, and an air of pleasant inebriation. He pauses briefly to look at Civvy and Evan and Civvy's figure, then heads to a cabinet to fetch a glass.

It's also a type of caramel ice-cream.
