Default Should Barbarians had a ACF of Steadfast Determination

Anyone else here think that PHBII ,, should have come with a barbarian ACF that gave them the feat , so they could take CON checks for will instead.

What would you have them give up? Steadfast D is worth two feats it shows up in plenty of builds as is.

How about changing Bear totem's level 1 bonus feat to Endurence making Steadfast D and Diehard which are both thematically appropriate just 1 feat away.

trap sense and make a progression of every 5 levels

Endurance, Die Hard , Steadfast Determination , and Indomitable Soul

Yes I know it is a unbalanced give, but still.... I say , so it is so.

As a point of balance comparison:

PF's Fighter Archetype (I know we're talking 3.5 here, but bear with me) Unbreakable gets Endurance & Diehard as bonus feats instead of their Level 1 Bonus Feat. Now, while from an Optimization stand-point, this is poor, I look at it like this: Endurance and/or Diehard are common feat taxes for better feats, so losing a bonus feat to get two feat taxes paid for is a great trade, especially considering that to get Diehard at level 1, you either need Flaws or Human/Strongheart Halfling.

Now, for barbarian, a lot of experienced players who do Dungeon Crawls find Uncanny Dodge and Diehard to both be useful, so trading one for the other isn't unheard of, and could almost make thematic sense: You aren't as dexterous, but you are better at taking hits. The other two could be for Improved, and there ya go: New ACF. Slap a name on it and you're gravy.
