Re: Werewolf III: A new begining
B-Man looks to the crowd after raising his head from his silent prayer. I'm not too entirely sure who is a werewolf or not, but I've never felt too safe next to Korith. He seems very vague and mysterious. to help ease my suspicion, I'll point my finger at you!

Re: Werewolf III: A new begining
Alarra comes outside and views the scene with horror, "Oh. Poor Zombie Rockstar...I'll miss his music so." Her sorrow turns to fear and anger as she looks suspiciously at her fellow villagers. "Who's done this? Why him?"
She notices the crowd pointing at people already and nods, "Yes...I thought Tharj and Fullbladder suspicious yesterday, and nothing has changed. However, I must refrain from accusing until I've seen a bit more concrete evidence."

Re: Werewolf III: A new begining
The door opens to TheChris' shop and out he comes with a freshly lit cigar. "Oh why did it have to be the Rockstar?" he asks no one in particular. He glances at Tharj and then back to the crowd, "I suppose waiting until we know more would be the best course of action right now...."

Re: Werewolf III: A new begining
Waiting is well enough Chris, but nightfall comes soon. I'm actually kind of surprised it wasn't me who was attacked last night. I always have such rotten luck. For once, someone else had worse...
*Ms E places a leaf packet filled with sweet smelling herbs on the body of ZRS as a sign of her admiration and sorrow. She then turns to join the other villagers.*

Re: Werewolf III: A new begining
Destro shouts back to the crowd, between swings of his shovel. You know, I've been thinking. I've come to the conclusion that the sudden discovery of a previously nonexistent mark on a gravestone is just too suspicious for me. I'm going to have to cast my vote for Tharj. *Destro points at Tharj Nothing personal.

Re: Werewolf III: A new begining
Korith steps back, surprised.
I'm not sure what I said or did to bother you so much, but it saddens me that I cannot have your trust. Still, point at me if you must. I would prefer to have a rational mob distrustful of me than a repressed mob hopping on any poor fool who gets in their way. Hopefully your fear of me will pass in time; I'd much rather that my death not contribute to handing the wolves this town on a silver platter
Korith sighs
Still, I can't help but think that the wolves took advantage of the balanced voting last round. With evnafets suddenly jumping to the lead from where he was, I say that we really ought to be paying attention to the two final voters, as well as the ones that he skipped on past. B-Man, Alarra, Fullbladder and - most of all - Tharj. Tharj, who I suspected last round I might add

Re: Werewolf III: A new begining
Feel free to poke me with a silver dagger it will not do anything different than a regular dagger.
I feel hurt for the "kill the messenger" reactions out there. I just told you all what I found. The blacksmith made the gravemarker and brought it out and put it up, all in full view of the town. Then I paid my respects to Weebl and I found the mark by accident. The timing and multidude of witness' proves that I could not have put that mark there.
I find it much more likely that the werewolf (or wolves) would simply keep quite and sit back. Especially since we seem to jump on anybody to draw attention.
I don't know who to point my finger at yet...Endless thanks and praise to my anonymous benefactor for the great Tharjatar... or is it a Smitatar?

Re: Werewolf III: A new begining
*DLD walks out of her house with her sword strapped to her back. She looks at the body of ZRS for a few seconds and sighs*
Well, although Fullbladder is still sligtly suspicous to me, I have also noticed something strange about Tharj. He finds a mark on the gravestone, but we can't prove who is responsible for this. Anyone could sneak around and change the gravestone after it was made, which brings Jontom into suspicion. It's easier to be silent and out of sight if you're flying, and who has wings around here?
*DLD glances behind her*
I know I have wings as well, but who would I be to mention something that could endanger my life? Besides, you all know who I am. Now, let's get back to the gravestone.
Tharj finds the mark, but claims not to have made it. Gravestones represent death. This morning, ZRS is dead, which doesn't make sense seeing as he was supposed to be dead already... twice. Which also represents death. Which makes things all the more alarming.
*DLD narrows her eyes*
Something about this doesn't add up...

Re: Werewolf III: A new begining
Umm, I need to flap my wings quite often to fly and they make quite a noise. Besides the headstone was put up after the body was found, so the mark must have been made between the body being found and Tharj finding the mark. That all happened in daytime when people were around. Whoever made the mark had no reason to be silent as they would be visible anyway, and it wouldn't be possible to be out of sight while making the mark as you would have to be stood by the headstone.
Something else I've noticed is that both Tharj and Fullbladder were high on the voting and voted for each other. If they both were wolves surely they would not have risked lynching the other just to provide a cover story. Therefore they cannot both be wolves. However since even after lynching we don't know whether someone is a wolf or not I am not sure that this helps us much. In fact because we have no way of knowing after lynching who is a wolf, voting patterns don't help much. In fact nothing does.
*** Jontom picks up a silver knife and pricks his palm ***
I have heard that silver is inimical to werewolves. I suggest that we all prick ourselves with these knives. If no-one dies then either they are not silver and Fullbladder is a werewolf, or the story about silver being inimical to werewolves is not true. Anyone who hesitates to so prick themselves is probably a werewolf.
OOC: Ok, I know this thing with the knives probably goes outside the rules, but this is a role-play situation that is not intrinsically limited to just voting for people, lynching and killing. I am a heavy lateral thinker and I cannot see myself or my character in this game sitting around relying on randomly lynching people on the basis of no solid evidence. The rules of the game state that only voting patterns and what people say can be used as evidence - we cannot hide in wait at night to see who leaves their house or plant subtle traps or anything like that. If it weren't for the restriction of the rules I would spend each night hiding in a random location farish away that I would fly to thus providing the werewolves with no way to find me. Alternatively I might just circle above the village out of bowshot range as again the wolves couldn't reach me, but also may not realise I am there thus allowing me to identify them. In fact I could sit here all day thinking up foolproof ways to evade and/or detect the werewolves that are not dealt with by the rules. And I'm stuck because that's my nature but I can't do these things because the rules don't allow it.
I also realise that this post means I'll probably be the werewolves' next victim, but that's life...or death.

Interesting...
*DLD watches with curiosity as Jontom pricks himself with the dagger*
...but I'm not sure if that proves anything. Anyone remember that werewolf from the last attack? DM, I think. He pretended that his weapons were silver, but they weren't. As for proving myself, there's no need.
*DLD spreads her wings and gestures at them*

Re: Werewolf III: A new begining
Alarra looks at T.S. and Korith...."Me? You have suspicians about me? Because I tried to wait a bit before casting away the life of someone who very well could have been innocent? Or because I tried to 'save the life' of Fullbladder? I've mentioned more than once that I find him suspicious...the callous manner in which he reacted to poor ZRS this morning, the way in which he somehow managed to come up with enough rare silver to make 10 daggers, the grave marker....I don't think those knives are silver. I think DLD could be right and he's trying to take a page from DM77's book and try to gain our trust through this false weaponry.

Re: Werewolf III: A new begining
But that's the point, DLD! If everyone pricks themselves and no-one dies then that proves that Fullbladder is lying and hence he is a werewolf.
I think we should also do the same test for any other so called silver weapons. We will either find some werewolves because they refuse to prick themselves, or we will find some werewolves because they are carrying weapons that they say are silver but they aren't silver!
Here, take this 'silver' knife and prick yourself then pass it on, and give me your sword so I can prick myself with it.
