The ninja gestures to his spiffy ninja garb. "Uh, you do know I'm like, a ninja, right?" Calmly the ninja takes another bite of meatball sub, having somehow managed to take bites without moving the face garb from over his mouth.

"Actually, one last question -- how did you get the bartender to get you a drink? He wouldn't give either myself or the gentleman I was standing next to the time of day."

"Bartender, I...?" Roth paused, that tight lipped smile spread across his face without ever reaching his eyes. Suddenly his voice lost all the joviality that had started the conversation. "Lady Saya, I presume."

"I'm surprised you didn't recognize my accent -- how many people in Empire City answer the phone to the largest building around in Portuguese?" The sleepiness in her tone dropped. "Why don't you come over to the Cosmic Tower and we can discuss everything about the princess in person?"

"Walk right into that death trap? I'd much rather meet somewhere more neutral. Do you know of Martelle's? I know it's late but I appear to have missed dinner."

"If you'll handle the reservations. I'll need to find an appropriate outfit... meet in forty-five minutes?"

Of course, what's the point of even having a damn superpower? Whatever annoyance he felt, he didn't show as he walked into the restaurant.

If it's any consolation, neither my pheromones nor emotional control will work on players, so I know how it feels.

"Then isn't it wonderful I'm here now?" she said with a smile. "Let's see if I've got this right -- you believe I stole the tower from Vivienne, who you considered something close to a friend, but we both know that's a lie because we've both known Vivienne for some time. She doesn't have friends. So now you're trying to figure out who I am, in order to understand why she would sell me the Tower. And don't think that she didn't -- do you think I'm stupid enough to try and steal something from the princess? I'm actually fond of living, smoking notwithstanding." She extinguished the cigarette before they entered the restaurant.

"Now then, let's get some dinner in you and we can talk over it."
