Any two-bit hacker can break into various government systems and create electronic copies of ownership." In fact I've used that ploy myself to gain three warehouses. "When I saw you affiliating with a hacker of some repute, just before I find you lounging about in her home. Well I'm sure you can see where I would..."

Roth stops as he is interrupted by the ninja from earlier. Ambush? Right in front of one of the most expensive restaurants in town? No one except a gang member could possibly be that sloppy. "And you are?"

Awkwardly bowing slightly to the man Karal replies "I am named Karal, and you?"

"We met earlier tonight, at the bar -- how remarkably coincidental. We'll have to continue that conversation inside, Arnie -- there are a few facts I'd like to speak to you about. But enough of that for now -- why are you here, Karal? I was under the impression you wanted to take a tour of the city, not see some of the high society."

"No, I said that there was an art showing in two weeks. At the moment, I'm about to enjoy dinner with a colleague. It has been so nice to run into you again, Karal. I'm sure we'll have to do it again some time. But for now, if you'll excuse us, we have a reservation to maintain."

Roth gives the ninja a smirk and nods, "Nice to meet you." As he tries to probe his surface thoughts to see if he's in any danger.

Well it would have been nice to chill with them, but I suppose I should get back to trying to find out who the leader of the mob is.

A tiny maggot popped out of the ground and attached itself to Karal's leg. Meanwhile, Saya linked her arm back with Arnold's and they, presumably, went into the restaurant.

"You go on ahead, I'll just be a moment," turning back to Karal he smirks. "So you're new in town? I know of almost all of the best locations, there's the Golden Casino, several dance studios and night clubs, each categorized by type of music you prefer to listen to. And some of the finest restaurants."

Meanwhile he continues to search out why the ninja is looking for the leader of the mob.

What he finds is:
"Because the voice in the back of my head told me I should..."

"Oh yes, any type you might enjoy. I know of different bars that are known for playing rock, country, pop, rap, and even disco has one location that is desperately clinging onto the 70s."

And what voice is this? He continues to pry.

"No, I mean uh..." Karal pauses a moment awkwardly "Could you remind me... what is music again?"

Karal thinks the voice is him, and he is the voice, but the voice is a separate isolated piece of him that helps him know what to do. The voice is the thing that makes him... him... and gives him meaning in life.

Meanwhile you notice that strangely enough his discussion with you seems to be playing out in his mind as it happens, strangely unfocussed taking in signs and streetlights as often as features of your face. Still he is definably listening... though his mind seems almost too blank to believe...

"Ahh music," Roth said without missing a beat. "The combination of different sounds into various patterns to create art, people tend to enjoy it."

Alright so is this being mind controlled, or perhaps some form of drone? Either way, it's something new. Going further in Roth attempts to uncover where the brain dead ninja came from.

[Glarx]

Saya, left to her own devices, enters the restaurant and is shown to the table Arnold had reserved. Thereafter she ordered a cocktail and waited for Arnie to reappear. Once the cocktail arrived, she began to drink those -- and, either in defiance of the rules or without knowledge of them, she began to smoke. A cloud of pheromones surrounded her, and Saya waited to see how many, if any, of the patrons began to love her.

And you honestly believe the peacekeeper could hunt the white men that fund their excursions. the men who rule cities such as these? Do you count yourself so naive? Karal takes another bite of his sub and allows his shoulders to slump slightly.

"Ah, I guess I'll take your advice then."

A song begins to play in the ninja's mind. As to his origins the memories seem vague and translucent, but you can tell it was somewhere rather dark and dangerous where Karal felt more at home then in these cities of noise and chaos.

"Yes, do go enjoy yourself."

Roth gave his little smirk and tried once more to get a piece of information from the drones mind. Where can 'the voice' be found/where was he staying?

That business concluded, Roth enters the diner and sits down across from Saya. "My apologies for the delay, but being a public servant it is best to appear friendly and helpful from time to time. Strange friend of yours, that one."

"Were that he was a friend. I met him outside the bar where I saw you -- that was the sum of our experience together. He wanted me -- me -- to give him a tour of the city. I'm not even a native, and c'mon, no one who looks like this is going to be giving tours, not unless they've got an addiction they can't pay for. Even then, there're more lucrative ways to pay for those."

Saya tapped the ash from her cigarette into either a tray, if one was there, or into her glass of water. She then sipped the cocktail. "So then, you had a few questions for me, if I remember correctly."

"Indeed, mostly about your relationship with Vivienne, and your intentions for coming into the city."
