Re: D-day kanto pt 1
Red steps forward, wishing with all his heart his old Growlithe was with him to fight off these low level PKmon.
"Please. We are just some kids caught up in all this mess, we were out swimming when we got caught up by that big ship. They said they would take us back home but they had a schedule or something. Then that big sea monster attacked and the guns kept firing a-and we saw s-something in the sand EAT a group of people in front of us. We just wanna go home!"
Red tries to look distressed and young, eyes wide and scared<-- Give the zombie a hug. You know you want too. It's so lonely.

Re: D-day kanto pt 1
((Sorry for the late response, my college operates with a weird winter session with accelerated courses and I just finished my finals week))
The soldiers in front of you look at you, soaking wet and carrying guns and equipment. They know something odd is going on but are still unwilling to target children without a damn good reason
((story is suspicious and hard to believe, but you get a situational modifier because they really want to believe you))
(1d20+1)[15]
the men keep their guns raised, their heads turning between you and the man in the middle. They all largely wear heavily patched up and work versions of American clothes,, probably imported before the war. The man in the middle wears a police cap and his clothes are decorated with a few makeshift medals and trophies - in this case trophies meaning disembodied parts of unidentified animals. He stares at you for a moment, contemplating before speaking
"Well its a good thing you found us then. We can keep you safe. Why don't you just put down your weapons and come with us? we can get this all sorted out and get you on the next boat out of here"

Re: D-day kanto pt 1
"You want us to go around defenseless in a warzone? I-I just saw a group of soldiers Eaten alive!"
Red clutches the shotgun to himself trying to play up the young scared kid aspect
"W-what if we get attacked by one of those monsters a-and you can't protect all of us? We promise not to us them unless you tell us too K?" The 'teenage boy' points at the floating magnet

Re: D-day kanto pt 1
Look, that way's a bunch of guys with guns, and beyond them's the sea. Over on this ways more guys with guns, and a place where I can maybe sleep in a real bed for once. Can we head that way, y'know, with the beds? I'll let you hold onto Susie here, as long as you give her back real soon. I ain't got another way to keep myself safe, y'know.

Joshua clutches the rifle as he throws up violently, a stream of yellow causing a puddle before him. He shivers slightly in the cool sea breeze.

Re: D-day kanto pt 1
((damn... good rolls))
The leader of the group is hesitant but he is cut off by his radio squacking to life.
The voice on the other side screeches loudly
"Foxtrot, We need reinforcements at charlie. Atlas needs this line held."
The leader looks to his two subordinates. To the soldier on his right:
"Dray, take these kids back to bravo. keep your nidoran out. If these kids were on that ship they might be able to help us."
"Ryan, lets get to charlie. Have yours scout for mines. were taking the short way."
The leader and ryan run off with their pokemon leaving you with Drey.
"Alright guys. Me and Nidoran here are going to lead. Hes going to sniff out ahead just in case."
He takes the lead through the thick forest behind the beach. He runs right for a thin trail. you wouldn't have found it if you hadn't known it was there. His pokemon sprints ahead, wiggling through a bush and disappearing from sight.

Re: D-day kanto pt 1
Simon nods, but otherwise remains silent towards it all. Seems they're sending us with a solitary soldier. Nothing a bullet won't fix.
Of course, not shot by him. He'll let one of the soldiers do it.

Re: D-day kanto pt 1
((blaknic, you get to take a shot before the soldier gets a chance to return fire. if you do enough damage, the following scene never happens))
The soldier turns around as you begin to speak eyeing you leveling your gun at him. He immediately reacts before you can pull the trigger of your shotgun, darting away at superhuman speed. In the end only one piece of shot enters his shoulder. He winces before raising his gun to red, returning fire while screaming out a hail of expletives, and finally shouts out to his pokemon."

Re: D-day kanto pt 1
Well, looks like he may have to get his hands dirty after all.
Pulling out the revolver, Simon aims the gun at the soldier.
His hand is somewhat shakey. This is the first time he's ever fired at a real person. The Gyarados was one thing; it was a sea monster and he was hyped on adrenaline and fascination.
This was just gory.

Re: D-day kanto pt 1
(Sorry for my absence, everyone.)
Jeph is thankful that the soldiers don't question the presence of the large medical bag any more than they do the guns. He doesn't have much of a sense of direction or a head for maps, and has no real idea which way is the correct or ideal way, or how far this city the soldier mentions is. The others seem to have things reasonably under control however, and so he follows behind, rolling the trauma kit along behind him and eyeing the small purple creature as it runs off into the undergrowth. As the shotgun is raised, he tenses, and jumps at the sound of it firing. He moves as soon as he sees that the soldier isn't dead, moving to the side of the little trail and going prone in an attempt to avoid any stray gunfire. Beyond keeping his head down, there is little he can do right now but wait and hope that the sudden attack does not leave anyone badly injured - other than the soldier, of course.
