aye, it attracted an elf whom she THOUGHT was a guy, and i believe she was about to engage in a three-way with "his" also-appearing-male female friend before finding out.

edit: And as far as I’m aware the love potion didn't MAKE people fall in love with her, it just made her immensely attractive to people who already did/would find her attractive. Such as heterosexual Matt and tinder, and the homo/Bisexual Elves. It wasn't so much "You fall in love with me against your will" as it was "i am now emitting pheromones that make you in the mood if your into me."

None of those who fell for the potion did so against their will, they were perfectly willing and able, it's just that when they were near her at the time it was suddenly as if they were in a rut/heat and REEEEALLY wanted some action from her.

If it's a lust potion, then it could be useless on asexuals for the same reason a darkvision potion won't have any effect on a blind person. Or it may be that the magic trumps that.

I'm fairly certain that if you're attracted to the sex of the person who used the potion, then you succumb to the effects if you fail your save. It doesn't necessarily matter if you're attracted to the individual.

If it makes you feel any better, I'm 19 and still figuring it out myself, Pretty sure I'm demisexual, but still not sure if it extends to girls too, or how far if it does.

True, it is just that I thought I had finally reached an understanding of myself and a nice label to call myself (don't we all love those) and experiences of my life to that point backed me up. And then something kicked me out of my comfort zone...
Oh, well... Life is strange, and that unpredictability is a big part in making it worth living for


That being said, back to the topic *ahem*
The question if that Love potion would affect asexuals is a bit tricky one, I suppose...though I would lean on 'No', since its effect is based on the one who drunk it, not those who are watching. And to an asexual who's just not interested in stuff like that it does not matter how an attractive the other person is.
Then again, I do think there are varying degrees of asexuality, so it is hard to say. It is possible that it would make it more likely that those asexuals that like intimacy would like to for example cuddle with potion drinker.

Am I making any sense here?

I should point out that given that the potion is described to make you more attractive to people of the opposite sex... or, you know, people of the same sex who like that kind of thing, as well as the fact that our (female) wizard is immune, I would assume that it didn't work on asexuals even if it was too strong.
