Re: Adventure Time II: Everybody Knows Your Name
RIP Rootbeer guy, the other important candy person that got a titled episode last season.
The Ice King's first appearance for the season was pretty great, but if Bubblegum just told him that Maja was the Sky Princess or something half the battle could've been avoided.
Also, Maja ending up in a coma is hilarious.

Re: Adventure Time II: Everybody Knows Your Name
I finished watching the last episode, stared at my screen for about 10 seconds, and said "was that it?"
RBG gets killed off-screen and doesn't come back from the dead like the other candy people because...?
*sigh* And this episode started off so well.

Re: Adventure Time II: Everybody Knows Your Name
The Gumball Guardians get disabled at a drop of a hat (Or because of a HAT), she has cannons that worked well until they ran out of ammo, the Banana Guard.....Do I seriously need to point out the flaws with the Banana Guard?
Finn and Jake rescue her but almost every time. For all her hooha about an immortal Kingdom she sucks at her defences. At best she can repel a group of 30 slow moving zombies.
Yes Finn and jake are there but she is an immortal. Who protected the Kingdom before they were there? His reincarnations?

Re: Adventure Time II: Everybody Knows Your Name
Well she really isn't immortal.
It possible that the candy kingdom didn't start till way after the bomb so less 1000 year and maybe more like hundreds of years but that still a lot of time at the vary leased. Maybe the candy kingdom isn't that old at all maybe build after the dog/rainbow [what ever that thing was] war that was like a hundredish years ago so maybe the candy people age fast and there was some years of peace like after the two giant robots where built.
I think all the protection the kingdom has is from those two robots so the army wan't needed any more and got old.If it sounds like I'm trolling I'm really not.
I'm not the smartest thing ever[even know I can seem like it] so I'm going to be wrong some times so just call me out on it.[i swear I'm not trolling]

Re: Adventure Time II: Everybody Knows Your Name
"My will is absolute!"
Yep, it's perfect.
.....
The last episode was a nice little breather one. The idea that a protagonist in the typical hero's journey goes back on his path and takes all the gifts he was offered before is a slightly cynical twist that I haven't seen before in anything, which surely says something about the writers.

Re: Adventure Time II: Everybody Knows Your Name
Cynical? I don't know, I found the whole thing rather endearing. A small little story about a small little character that that was, well, endearing.

Re: Adventure Time II: Everybody Knows Your Name
Just saw the newest Adventure Time, a little side story about Joshua and Marget.
SpoilerIt gives a clue to how Jake got his powers... and leaves some disturbing implications about stuff. Hope they follow up on it fairly soon.Don't know your name but bring the pain.

Re: Adventure Time II: Everybody Knows Your Name
I got a better one: How about when they follow up on something, they DON'T resolve it in 1-3 episodes flat. And make it matter if they do.
The shows just starting to tick me off again. Its the same problem I had with Girl Genius. I like cake, but if you do nothing with the cake but try out different color frostings its gonna get dull after 6 seasons.
This is why Gravity Falls has displaced adventure time as a show I like to watch with noodly armed characters.

Re: Adventure Time II: Everybody Knows Your Name
Im not sure what that means but Im no grouch. Its just anything I say thats positive is soon forgotten and disappears, but Im often left arguing about negative aspects and thus come off as a grouch. But yes I would say Im a harsh critic.

Re: Adventure Time II: Everybody Knows Your Name
Well, Finn has pretty much interacted with most things that could be considered 'world ending' at this point, so it's possible that spying on them is just a precaution.
Or the camera's a leftover from when Marceline lived there, because you might as well spy on the vampire that lives a brisk walk from you, but either way it's wrong and creepy.

Re: Adventure Time II: Everybody Knows Your Name
From several earlier episodes, we know that Finn and Jake are technically subjects of PB - she collects taxes from them and everything. So it's probably just her usual weird surveillance state thing.
But yeah, she was basically a monster this episode, not that this is super-new. At least she seems to have recognized it.If you like my thoughts, you'll love my writing. Visit me at www.mishahandman.com.
