No problem, I posted inside then. They aren't looking to recruit a pickpocket for theiving though, they have a different job oppertunity in mind. Also it is entirely possible they will find only NPC pickpockets which shouldn't stop them from interacting with Mist.

Oh and on the whole NO thing. My one character that would really be affected is Amelia. She probably won't get liscened for a few reasons, and I would totally be down for that causing her and NO to clash again further down the road. If that is something NO would be up for.

@Morty: In theory it would be something you could apply to the printing mechanism itself so it would automatically do that and you'd only have to pay for it once. But yes, still good points.

Anyway, basically, Operative is not doing too much right now that I saw, so her objective is secondary to that of the other people in the ghostworm.

That's assuming that the transport reaches its destination, drops people off, and returns to the Operative's location without any unexpected things happening to the transport.

Unless people who attack the transport actually go after her, specifically, rather than the rest of the people on it, in which case, well, nothing in particular I can do if they decide that shooting the person standing back doing nothing instead of the other people is a good idea. She has a very specific job to do, and that is the extent of her involvement.

They'll most likely be going after the transport, not patiently waiting for the enemy to unload their troops and spread themselves out over a wider area. Directly assaulting the very thing within which Excelsior's people are seated, to try to eliminate them before they can start doing any more than Karyana is currently doing. Waiting for Excelsior to shoot first only accomplishes one thing, and that's getting shot to death.

It's not like Magtok has any reason to hold back, or check for noncombatants first. This is a war, and anyone onboard the tank invading his home is obviously an enemy, otherwise they wouldn't be here. Any time spent asking them if they're with Excelsior or not is time that could be better spent shooting someone in the face. I'd rather she wasn't with those in the transport.

...That teleportation was one of the powers I chose to tie to being on 'home ground', so as to make her fit within the power limits of the plot. >.>

If you actually want her to be able to blink around then... Fine, I guess? But I was not intending for that to be an option because I figured that teleportation would, due to the number of nasty things you can do with it, be rather OP.

Since No wants to see the competence of the character before giving out the NO License, will they be giving some sort of test over at NO HQ?

Actually, it's just a form. They don't actually ask you to prove anything, although they might ask if your character doesn't seem to have any skills at all. That's my impression and experience so far.

That's more or less it. Actual tests would be really tedious to play out, since quite a few PCs are likely to seek the licenses.

However, if a mercenary proves to be incompetent and unprofessional later on, the license may be revoked.

Also, you can apply for a license in their offices in Inside and Riverside as well.

So Hatter, I just wanted to point out that you're rally supposed to make an OoC note before entering the Warzone as per the rules. And that my giant robot is somewhat standard power level for a main character's Mobile Suit, which still can't hold a candle to a planet-buster. And also that if Superman/Justice League's Animated Series taught me anything it's that nothing makes a giant robot seem more lame than having it fruitlessly try to hit a target a hundred times smaller than it's made to hit moving at mach two. So unless you have a way to make this fun I really don't think it'll work well.

Oh right, I forgot to mention this earlier. I'm pretty dang sure no one knows that Shayan is working for Tenebras now, and it's a pretty big leap from her having betrayed AMEN to Tenebras to her actually working for Tenebras now.

Now, this is the Wall, so I'm not going to worry about it that much I guess, but I want it to be clear that that part of the post is strictly non-canon if it stays there as is. Tenebras is making a point of keeping Shayan a secret, and no one should know about that yet, especially not so soon.
