Rebuke undead in place of a familiar?
Would it be balanced to trade the ability to have a familiar as a wizrd for the ability to rebuke undead? If not, what if the bonus metamagic feats were also sacrificed? Or, maybe rebuke dead at a lower level, like a paladin does?

Re: Rebuke undead in place of a familiar?
Balance-wise this looks fine. The only potential problem I see would be the wizard then using the turn undead for something else (such as divine metamagic).

Re: Rebuke undead in place of a familiar?
Rebuke Undead isn't too powerful so it would be fine. Divine Metamagic explicitly refers to divine spells only (if I remember it right) so a wizard couldn't use it.
