All things considered, I wish they had done more fillers like this over the last coupler years. Then the books they published would probably be a little more tightly written, which is the biggest failing of the Mechanicsburg arcs. The only problem with the filler is that it makes it a little harder to read the main story.

The Professors have been running into coloring problems; and, as noted, they are in the midst of convention season. These things together apparently have knocked their schedule askew. Or perhaps they always intended to give us this quite amusing interlude so we can stew over what horrors Agatha, in one of her few full blown and out of control fugue states, might have produced...

In addition to the conventions and stuff, they have recently successfully reached all the stretch goals of a Kickstarter, so they have to organize prints/reprints of all 12 volumes so far, distribute the goodies, etc.
