Recently I’ve been working on Druid subclasses for the fae courts of summer, winter, autumn, and spring. Druid circles that have solid connections to the fae.

Each court has elements to it other than the season itself. For spring we have growth, renewal, and lust.

Circle of the Spring Court

The coming of Spring heralds the return of life, lust, vitality, and renewal. Druids bound to the Court of Spring celebrate the simple joys of life, and help sing the cold world back into warm readiness. This circle finds itself most at home among the celebrants of Faerie, but are welcome amongst mortals for their passionate love of life.

-Circle Spells: When you join this circle at 2nd level, your connection to the season of lust and renewal grants you access to certain helpful spells. Your prowess with this seasons magic advances as you gain levels in this class, as shown in the table below.

Once you gain access to one of these spells, you always have it prepared, and it does not count against the number of spells that you can prepare each day. If you gain access to a spell that does not appear on the Druid Spell List, the spell is nonetheless a Druid spell for you.

-Verdant Companion: At 2nd level, you learn the Find Familiar spell. This counts as a Druid spell for you, and does not count against the number of spells that you can prepare each day. In addition, any familiar summoned appears to be comprised of vegetation and is considered Fey in origin. Their physical makeup grants them advantage on Stealth checks in natural environments. When not in use a Verdant Companion may, without requiring an action, transform into vines wearable by the Druid.

-Paramour’s Talents: Also at 2nd level, you become proficient in your choice of 2 of the following skills: Deception, Intimidation, Persuasion, Performance, or Insight.

Your proficiency bonus is doubled for any ability check you make that uses either of these chosen skills.

Spring Courtiers have an innate instinct to create. You gain proficiency with 1 set of artisan tools or supplies.

-Flower Tongue: At 6th level, your force of personality can impress itself upon flora as well as fauna. You may cast Speak with Plants at-will. Casting the spell in this manner requires only verbal components. This does not count against the number of spells that you can prepare each day.

-Invigorating Pollen: At 10th level, you gain the ability to generate an aura of pheromones and pollen to invigorate your allies. As an action, you can expend one use of your Wild Shape feature summon your Aura of Invigorating Pollen, rather than assuming a beast form.

This aura extends out from you in a 30ft radius, and lasts for 1 minute. Each ally within this aura is granted 1d6. On your ally’s turn they can choose to add this d6 to any attack roll, damage roll, ability check, or saving throw. They may also choose to instead heal themselves for 1d6. Each ally may only benefit from these effects once per round, and they regain their expended d6 at the beginning of your turn.

This effect ends if this ability expires, you are knocked unconscious, you die, or you use your Wild Shape feature again.

-Infectious Glamour: At 14th level, your aura of Invigorating Pollen takes on a more sinister aspect. While your Invigorating Pollen feature is active, enemies within it’s aura must succeed on a Charisma saving throw against your spell save DC or be charmed for the duration. Enemies that succeed on their save are immune to this effect for 1 hour, but are dropped to the kneeling position and considered prone.

-Spring Wild Shape: (Optional) Spring Court Druids often indulge in exploring the wilds in the form of beasts. You will always know a Spring Courtier’s form by the wild vines comprising it’s body and the thorns and flowers adorning it. It is beauty and danger as nature intended.
