Ennis jumps off the boat to double check on things.

'Rayquaza dammit! Who covered the guards in fuel? I thought the whole reason we kept them alive was not to kill them!'

Ennis stops Calor from torching the whole place just yet.

'Yo, Eddie. You're the boat man. Shove their unconscious asses on a boat and jerry rig it so it'll beach itself further up, away from the blaze. I ain't signin' up for cooking people alive. Whaddya think I am, a Magma goon?'

He looks angry at the nearly costly slip up, then to Ennis.
"Right, you get their asses there, I'll handle the rigging. South shore should be safe enough."
With that, he takes the time to rig a boat to hit the southern shoreline not full of rocks and death while Ennis sets the guards up.
"I'll get this going, then bail. Swing it around and pick me up before things begin, alright?"

Ennis swings the boat around and helps shift the guards onto the boat. Once Eddie gets the boat moving and jams it onto a crash course with the beach, she pulls alongside him so he can climb on.

'Calor, if you don't mind?' she asks the Torkoal, and the little fellah uses a fire spin on the oil, setting the docks alight.

'Next stop, the open ocean.' She checks her jacket. 'Void! Should have bought more cigs for the journey. Clamps, I may have to bum a couple off you until we hit land.'

(Don't recall saying that, just a bunch of stuff that's hard to communicate properly. My vote was we head out and watch it recede in the distance as we run like hell. Muk sitting around a giant fire that will get attention soon.)
Clamps offers one before pulling out one as well. Meanwhile, Eddie steers them towards open waters, preparing to push the motor for everything it's got once away from the docks enough for it to be safe to do so.

As Eddie clambers back on board, Ennis gives the signal to Calor. The fiery dragonturtle inhaled deeply, spouting a gout of flame at the battleship. Almost instantly, the symbol Eddie decorated onto the deck was ablaze. Ennis throws the boat into gear, headed towards the open waters of the bay and the ocean beyond. The boat slowly gained speed, the load of your supplies making it sluggish. While Ennis paid attention to the controls and where the boat was heading; Eddie, Donny and Aidan watched as the blaze spread. And it spread quickly.

The Destroyer was consumed by fire in mere seconds, the inferno spreading across the thick fuel like a Ninjask chasing its prey. The pier the destroyer was attached to caught next, the fire spreading to the main pier; and from there each pier was set ablaze, in no less than 10 seconds from Calor's initial spark. The inferno soon raged jumping onto the the numerous boats across the piers. 30 seconds in, your escape boat was only half way through the bay and the entire docks, and every single boat, was consumed in white hot flames, reaching high into the sky.

A thick haze spread over the night sky, blotting out he waning moon and the stars. Off in the distance, you could see pinpricks of light peeking through the blaze, as people took notice. It wouldn't be long before the Rangers would show up to manage the blaze. By the way the inferno raged, it would be far too late. Your ears were filled with the sound of the raging fire and even at this distance, you could feel the intense heat.

You are snapped out of your moment of triumph by an explosion. The battleship suddenly exploded, as the flames reached its fuel tank. Charred metal flew high into the sky, before plunging into the bay with sharp hisssss. A series of smaller explosions echoed it, as smaller boats met similar fates.

Above the din, you could make out a low groan of metal straining. The silo's at the north of the docks had escaped the blaze directly, but the walkways and support struts were ablaze. The largest silo started to slant towards the open bay, as one support started to buckle. With a sickening crunch, the support finally gave and the silo lerched forward. It came to a rest for a moment, before the shock snapped the other support, causing the silo to plunge into the bay. The numerous pipes that had been connected to the silo now lay out in the open air, wrenched from their resting place. Some of them spewed the thick fuel which sat ontop of the water, spreading slowly across it like a contagion. Others spewed molten metal into the bay, quickly cooling into a grotesque man-made version of a cooled lava flow.

The silo, slowly sinking into the bay, buckled in on itself, not designed to be set on its side. Out of the numerous cracks in its hull, a silvery-gray liquid sprayed out forcefully, as if under pressure. Instead of spattering everywhere, the liquid quickly coalesced back together into a single amorphous mass. The mass grew and grew, seeming to quiver and lurch about at random, as if being controlled. The mass grew, to at least half the size of the silo it was contained in before it stopped growing.

The mass of liquid started to bubble and broil, slowly rising from a thin pool into a towering mound. The process seemed slow, the mound seemed to collapse half the time. However, the mound grew to its full height, easily 30m, in a matter of moments. The light of the flames reflected off its rippling surface as the mound seemed to simply exist within the bay. The mound lurched and quivered again, as it began to reform. A large opening began to form on the mound facing you, taking on the vague resemblance of a mouth. Two smaller openings appeared above the large one, being filled with inky black, soulless spheres. The mound suddenly sprouted three appendages, who only had the vaguest similarity to normal limbs, waving them about wildly, splattering bits of itself all over. The mound let out a loud roar, shaking you to your core. The water of the bay rippled from the force of it.

It's eyes fixated on your slow chugging boat, pointing one amorphous pseudpod at you. It lurched forward suddenly picking up incredible speed as its body lunged forward, seeming to morph between liquid and vague solid-form as it moved. It was closing in on you and fast.

    Spoiler

    Reference Pic
At your current speed, you will exit the bay in 4 rounds, but the monster will catch you up with you in 2. You have two speeds higher than what you are going, but each has a successively larger chance of damaging the engines. It takes Ennis or Eddies entire turn to steer the boat (you still can use your command action). If no one steers, the boat will continue its trajectory (currently out of the bay) with a 10% chance of random course correction. Ennis is currently steering.

The boat can stay afloat at up to 150 WCs. It takes a penalty to movement over 75 WC, a severe penalty at 125. At 150, its derelect and 150+ sinking. With everything on the boat at the moment (you included), you are at 100 WC. This will become important. Note that you cannot abandon any supplies without risking your survival in the open ocean.

This is the map. Place yourselves where you like. The monster is not on the map yet.

As the blaze spreads and grows Donny watches from the safety of Stern's yacht. The fact that he was gripping the railing too tightly didn't seem to register with him. He watched as ship after ship was taken by the flames and turned into debris. Pokemon can control their fires. People really cant...

The thought trails off as the metallic creature bursts from the silo. And just like that, Donny was back to battle mode. He attempted to scan it with his Pokedex, even at that distance. Looks metallic, Sunny and Masque would be my best options here. As the thought crossed his mind his hands released the Larvesta and the Cubone. With a mental push he connected to their minds and enlightened them to the situation. Masque, you're a melee hitter, stick around on the deck and be ready to jump in if that thing gets too close. Sunny, you and I can throw fire at it from a distance, so stay next to me and only target the metal blob. His hand played, all Donny could really do was wait for his chance to strike.

OOC: I'm assuming you'll want WC of our pokemon that are released and on the deck, so Sunny is WC 3, and Masque is WC 1.

Also, how will Trap moves affect the target on water? Such as Firespin.

Aidan stares impassively at the burning docks, before sighing and nodding to himself. "It's done, then..." he says to nobody in particular. The silo's fall draws his attention after a moment, as he realizes that the fuel spilling into the ocean could cause more problems for Devon - after all, they'd be the ones responsible for the cleanup here.

The massive mound of semi-liquified metal forming causes Aidan's thoughts to stop in his tracks, and he can only say, "What the muk is that...?" When it opens a massive mouth and eyes, and begins chasing them, Aidan curses and says, "Arceus judge it... get us out of here!" Nodding at Donny as the other man releases his Pokemon, Aidan releases Hisei onto the deck and says to the Vulpix, "Hisei, get ready - we'll want to try and trap that thing up, but failing that, plan on opening fire - don't hold anything back!" As he speaks, he pulls out his Pokedex and begins trying to scan the massive creature, in hopes of finding out just what they're up against.

Ennis cursed profusely before kicking the boat up a notch. The engine whined and moaned under the stress but seemed to be holding, at least for now. You slowly gained speed, but it wasn't enough. The monstrous ooze was gaining ground quickly. Ennis in a panic threw the engine to full gear but it was too late.

The monster deformed and lurched forward in a wave of ooze, clearing at least 40m in a split second, slamming into the hull. The force of the wave threatened to capsize the boat. You manage to maintain your footing, if however unlikely. Hisei, Calor and Sun spit spiraling flames at the now amorphous ooze, but it seems to just melt away before the flames make contact.

The ooze begins to reform around you, lifting the boat out of the water. The rotor sprays water everywhere before being completely removed from the water. Ennis quickly shuts of the engine, no point in spinning your wheels. The soulless eyes form and glare down at you, as the mouth forms and bellows a sickly gurgly roar. One psuedo-pod looms over the deck, dripping thick droplets of liquid metal onto the deck. The other two were holding the boat aloft. You weren't going anywhere till you destroyed those pseudo-pods.

    Spoiler
    Show
More rules! You can attack the psuedo-pods individually. They will only damage the pseudo-pods, and not the main body. If you have a Line attack, you can attack any combination of 2 (2 Psuedo-pods or Pseudo-pod and body). If you have a Burst or Blast of 3 or less, the same applies. A burst of 4 or more will hit all Pseudo-pods and the body.

    Initiative:

Seriously, everything is faster. Speed 1 sucks like that.

A more general note: It has no special resistance to fire in this form. Its liquid form (when it was first within range), has special abilities it does not have in its 'solid' form.

Because of the timescale I'm doing these posts, you have 2 turns before he is in range if you like to buff. Put those in spoilers before posting the opening round's turn.

Aidan thinks for a moment, listening as Ennis orders Calor to snare the thing with a Fire Spin, before releasing Kiran behind him - paralyzing this thing could be a good idea, after all. As he does, he orders, "Hisei, hit this thing with a Fire Spin of your own!" The Vulpix nods, raising its tails up and forming flames on the ends. Mukoff winks at the new arrivals, giving them the finger guns. Meanwhile, Eddie mutters a small curse, before looking to Tumble, caught in the middle of them.
"You guys handle the big one for a moment, I'll clear out the tiny ones, try and catch some too."
Eddie grabs a pokeball out of his bag and aims for one around Tumble. Meanwhile, Clamps goes to bitch clamp the one in front of his fellow fish.

Calor's flames turn the metallic grimer to slag, but not before a slimey fist slams into him for 18 Physical Steel damage. The slagged grimer solidifies into a metal lump on the deck. Clamps strike hits true, but the grimer's body blunts the blow. Masque's attack slams into the pseudo-pod, the limb losing hold of itself as it falls apart. Some of it slams onto the deck. Like before, the sludge takes form, into more Grimer. There was no end to these things!

Eddie's pokeball slams into the Grimer, but its just consumed by its body. Donny reaches out to the mosntrous Muk's mind, but the rage within it rebukes him.

The two remaining Spawn from before spout noxious fumes from their mouths, Poisoning Tumble, Mukoff and Clamps. One Pod swings down towards the group to the south, spraying more debris at them, dealing 49 Physical Rock Damage* to Donny, Aidan, Hisei and Kiran. The other swings around to the north, spraying more debris for 49 Physical Rock Damage* to Calor and Tierra. The debris crashes into your stores of supplies. It looked like they weren't too terribly damaged, but they couldn't take prolonged beatings before you start loosing supplies. The main body glowers at Calor, Disabling Ember.

*After you account for Defence and typing, half the damage. Any damage that comes from a Pseudo-Pod will be halved after Typing. Trade off for getting extra actions: loss of potency.

Pseudo-Pod 1 is destroyed. All other Pods are unchanged.

Eddie mutters before rushing forward, pulling a needle and jumps the railing around the wheel, jamming an antidote into Clamps.
"Next one's yours, Tumble, but you gotta hit and hit hard. Mud bomb!"
Tumble winces, but still draws mud together around her before launching it at the two pseudopods.

"No connection forthcoming, we have to do this the old fashioned way," Donny says aloud for his teammates. He rummaged through his pockets, eventually coming across a Soda Pop and downed the refreshing beverage as fast as he could. Mentally, he encouraged Masque to tear into the metallic Grimers on deck.

Aidan quickly recalls Kiran, saying, "You did what you needed to do... get some rest. Xylik, shake things up for the big guy with a Bulldoze!" He then pulls out a potion and begins tending to Hisei's wounds while the Gligar flies forward and upward, creating a burst of seismic force around itself to attack both the main body of the Muk and one of the free-hanging pseudopods.

Ennis uses her free hand to return Calor, since Tierra couldn't fight with Calor nearby without hurting him.

Tierra shifts to the edge of the boat and unleashes a Bulldoze on the pods.

The combined ground type attacks wrack the Muk. Its body shimmers and shines, as one of the pods (4) collapses into more Grimer. The Muk lets out what sounds like a belch, as it drops the boat, the two arms previously holding it shooting shimmering globules at you. One large globule strikes Tierra for 138 Unmodifiable damage, another strikes Masque for 66 Unmodifiable damage and the final strikes Xylik for 66 Unmodifiable damage.

You hear the dex ping Type shift confirmed: Steel Type a moment before the boat hits the water with a sudden jerk. The grimer, leap into action, managing to keep their footing my lacking proper feet. One smacks Tumble for 25 Physical Steel, while another lunges at Eddie, who somehow dodges. The final one slithers across the deck throwing a punch at Mukoff for 21 Physical Steel Damage.

    Spoiler

Pods 2, 3, and 5 are all free (now). 2 and 3 are heavily damaged.
Everyone make a Dex check (Jump for mon). If you hit DC 14, you may act as normal. If you hit DC 10-13, you must make a Shift action to regain your footing. If you roll below 10, you will be knocked 1d4-1 squares towards the left of the boat (from the map perspective). If this places you off the boat, you are in the water.

Note for Flyers: They remain as they were, but are now 15m in the air (plus what they were prior). If they were on the ground, if they beat DC 10 Jump, they remain flying at 15m. If they fail, they are treated as everyone else.

Aidan lets out a brief cry as he tumbles to the ground, bouncing harshly off of the deck and into the nearby grimer before getting back to his feet quickly. Hisei doesn't land as badly, but takes a moment to rise as well, and Aidan calls out, "Hisei, light it up! Fire Spin!" Thinking for a moment, he makes a snap decision and pulls out a Pokeball, slamming it into the Grimer in front of him. Hisei forms another set of flame motes around its tails before launching them towards the massive Muk,

The sudden drop throws Donny to the deck, but he somehow refrains from falling off the wrong side of the railing. Masque also falls hard, unconscious to the deck. From his position against the rail, Donny blows a fiery lasso around the nearest grimer, hoping to distract it long enough to get to his feet. He returns Masque with a free hand and sending Buzz out onto the field of battle.
