((Can't believe I had missed this for so long.))

Calvin's Place

It is a good thing Young Star got a hold of her elbow. Even as she is grabbed the sword is twisting in her grip to point downwards, closer to him but still held at bay. I assume being punched by Young Star isn't very fun. It is quite possible that he will break a few ribs to go along with the broken ankle. That isn't going to stop her though. The dagger in her other hand is going to go to strike at Young Star's throat more out of reflex then conscious thought.

Calvin's Place:

Tawdry isn't the only one with honed reflexes. As the knife comes at him, he blocks her attack by striking at her wrist with the side of his hand, putting in enough force to try and break her wrist. He follows it up with a powerful open hand slap at her face, here being careful not to break her neck. He also continues to keep at his grip of her elbow.

Calvin's Place:

Tawdry drops the knife, a grimace of pain showing on her face as her wrist is most likely broken. The comes the slap, she tries to lean back to avoid it but still catches most of the blow. If Young Star didn't have a hold of her wrist she probably would have spun out to the floor. She drops her sword, the point sticking into the hardwood floor. She staggers looking like she is about ready to drop. It is at least partially an act, her one free hand reaching into a bag on her belt. She acts quickly hoping to catch the hero by surprise as she pulls out a baseball sized bag and tosses it in the air past Young Star, somewhere between Eric and the hero.

"Bomb!" Eric shouts as a warning.

Calvin's Place:

"No!" Young Star pushes the woman away and reaches out to the bomb. Flying up, he attempts to reach under the bomb with his hand and slap the bomb away down the hall.

[McBish]

Calvin's Place:

Young Star manages to swat the bomb a fraction of a second before it goes off. Sending it flying away from him when it explodes. Both Calvin and the woman are scrambling to get away from it. When it explodes the shockwave travels down the hall in both directions with the force of a small sedan drving down the highway. Wooden splinters catch fire from the heat as they fly through the air. This whole hallway looks like a big mess. The woman is going to try to use this to cover her escape.

Young Star's first priority is protecting Calvin from the force and detritus. He flies over him and tries to push him low to avoid getting sent flying and covering Calvin's body with his own to block the debris.

Calvin's Place:

Calvin is already turning and ducking down so it is easy to quickly cover him up. By the time the debris has settled the woman is out of the house and well out of sight. If Young Star lingers over Calvin for too long after the explosion he will find Calvin trying to push him off to stand up. "I'm fine." He isn't really lying despite how he looks. A normal person covered in as much of his own blood as Calvin is should be unconscious. Calvin may be a bit wobbly but he is still standing. His eyes dart around making sure the danger has passed, which it seems to have. The hallway is scorched and splintered but not in danger of collapsing.

"I'm glad. The woman got away but we have the big guy asleep upstairs. How do we proceed?" He Steps off of Calvin and offer him a hand.

[McBish]

Calvin's Place:

Calvin stands without help. Though Young Star might want to use that outstretched hand to steady the lightly swaying teen. "The other guy is locked up unconscious downstairs. It's probably good she got away. She will pass the message to her bosses. I am out, they can choose to believe it or not. I plan on being pretty hard to find for awhile."

Calvin's Place

"May I suggest a new identity?" the hero offers. "I get the distinct feeling this is just going to be your recurring thing."

"May I suggest a new identity?" the hero offers. "I get the distinct feeling this is just going to be your recurring thing."

"Yeah I doubt this is the last time I will run into them. But I won't make it easy. I was going to leave the city for awhile again. Finding me out in the worlds will be next to impossible. If I come back I'll make sure to avoid my old haunts."
