[CHB] IC 1: The New Arrivals

Ty seems to have already settled in with a few plates filled with breakfast. He waves lazily back to Colin, but the sight of the Boreas camper also reminds the sleepyhead to make an offering to the gods before tucking in. Looks like he's starting to break the bad habits he'd formed while away from the camp.

Domni is also present and as anxious as ever. He accidentally bumps into Colin while absorbed in a small, multi-colored puzzle shaped like a cube. Ty remembers meeting him the night before and gives him a comforting smile as Colin directs him to a seat; he himself was a nervous wreck when he first joined the camp, so he can relate somewhat.

Once he cleans off his first helping, Ty will be wide-awake and ready for seconds, but with most of the others not present to have their fill, he'll wait for a short while before helping himself...

Kenji manages to make his way out of the Athena cabin. He had just taken a shower, and was now quite hungry, seeing as how he was out of snacks. He rubbed a sleeve covered hand over his eyes as he mad his way into the pavilion.

I'm Colin Anemos Polemo, son of Boreas. He informs, accepting Domni's hand and shaking it heartily. Don't forget to sacrifice a portion of your meal to the gods. Colin's already done this, and is helping himself to a plate of waffles.

Domni retracts his hand after the shaking. I'm Domni, son of Athena. Domni sacrifices some clementine to the Gods. He then proceeds to eat 2 clementines and an apple. This is finished off with some pancakes.

So you are in Athena? I suppose you should have your brother there, he indicates Kenji, show you to your table. Hermes wouldn't mind you being here, but Athena probably would. He shrugs regretfully.

No, no. I actually quite like to read. I spent most of this morning reading and studying. Did you see the desk in the cabin with stacks upon stacks of books? Yeah, that's mine.
Domni surprises himself by saying this all, and it comes out rather quickly.

Domni mostly smiles when he is nervous, talking to someone he doesn't know well can do that to him.
Why not? You seem like a nice kid. Though a lot of people don't like books...

I wonder what an adventures like. I've always envied the true heroes of the stories. Those who back up the ones who get all the credit with their brilliant thinking and quick minds.

Oh! I have this excellent book. It's a beastiary. I'm fairly sure it's magical. It's not that large, but every time I open it, there's something new there. It's quite interesting.

During breakfast, some of the other campers can be heard discussing a contest of some sort. If asked about their plans, they will happily explain, "A bunch of us are organizing a game of Capture the Flag. We're going to make bases near the Hermes and Ares cabins later on and split up into two teams. You're welcome to join, if you want."

Colin is amongst the planning crew. He advises against placing the bases near the cabins. After all, wouldn't want to break anything. If asked for a better solution, he'll suggest the forest, split by the river.
I think Hermes and Ares, vs. Athena and whatever cabins are also active.

Domnus frowns. There are many different parts to be good at. I am mediocre at best with combat, but I am a great strategist, and that could help.
