The Daggers had a very fun game, living up to their name rather well, though their valiant foes did manage to take down a couple of my players. Luckily, a niggling injury isn't the worst thing that could happen. I beleive I can afford another Lineman.

I believe you get free subs if you can't field a full 11, you should be able to do alright. Then again in my first league my Norse got utterly destroyed and I couldn't stage a comeback. Keep a stiff upper lip.

Yeah, if you don't have 11 available players you get free mercenary linemen (and if you want to keep them after the game (i.e. if they get SPP), you have the option to buy them if you have the money (although for some reason it goes by the money you had before the game, not after). And of course this is on top of the inducements you get for having a lower team value than your opponent.

The subs do get "Loner" permanently though, which IIRC gives them a chance to not use rerolls.

Well that was an embarrassing display by the Gold-Blooders, Big Frosty (My Kroxigor) took himself out the match on his first attack, lil'frosty knocked himself out on the touchdown line with the ball and there were more fumbles that I could keep count of. Also rats are fast and everywhere.

On the bright side there were no permanent injuries so the Gold-Blooders can only do better next time.

By the way, what does the niggle do? Cause worse injuries when the armor breaks, or reduce armor?

Well that was a suitably bloody match between Dark Elves and Lizardmen. Vanilla Ice got his first kill which was nice and a skink, possibly two leveled up.

Very enjoyable and very violent.

May he continue to grow strong. Down 2 skinks with injuries for next match but used my funds to buy another one so only down 1 in total with Cool Beans, the new addition to the Gold-Blooders.

I'm pretty sure they lose the loner skill if you hire them permanently after the game. Loner's just something which applies to all journeymen or mercenaries or whatever they're calling themselves now. And star players, and most big guys. And yeah, it's, if you want to use a re-roll with that player you have to roll a d6 and on a 1-3 the re-roll doesn't work.

The first. It's +1 to all injury rolls against that player.

My "punch all the skinks" strategy may have blunted them a bit. Though it also infused Vanilla Ice with deific power, so it may be a wash all things considered.

Right Choyrt, when's a good time for you to play? I have two hours of lectures today and Hockey training in the evening but that should all be finished up by around 9pm British time and I should be active for a good 3 or 4 hours after that if you'd like to get a match in then?

I'm down a skink due to Breezy Bob getting his head fractured and I think Pawn Sacrifice being injured with only Cool Beans to fill the void that was open so I should get a free Merc skink with a less silly name.
