the animals are cleared from the arena by a half giant who grows to huge size, scoops up the animals carefully holding them by collars and dragging them out of the arena. the female he picks up and holds in his other hand carefully in his palm

the human animal handler is dragged to the middle of the arena, and staked to the ground, tight wet leather is put around his neck. and he is left to the sun. his screams will be heard for awhile as he slowly burns to death in the mid-day sun.

once back in his cell he drops the lions and starts hanging them by there feet bleeding them to remove the last of there blood and then skinning them once the skin is removed begins to butcher the meat setting it near the fire to cook or smoke and tacks out the skins to dry (taking 20)[20+3=23]

one lion is dead, the other is in bad shape, but is unconscious (disabled) if its wounds are tended it will survive, if not it may or may not recover.

I like the alternate xp system as it gives a reasonable advance to mid level but things really slowdown, trying to avoid things going out of hand too quickly. experience is more generous, since you have other things to spend exp on :)

gulah can save the lion with cure minor wounds. it will still remain unconscious for at least 1 hour. it is very obvious that this lion has been abused and whipped repeatedly. but obviously this lion is very tough and dedicated to surviving.
