Oh it may be intressting if I tell you that Mia and her God did increase their number of churches. Riverside now got a church, too.
Also for Exxelsior Andy went on a bit with the suit he found a power source which got a little bad side as well.

Back when I was unemployed, I stayed up really late in the evenings because that's when most people are online and roleplaying. Now I can't stay up as late (except on Sundays) because I have to get up early enough that I'd get no sleep if I did. So, yes, I usually posted at ridiculously late at night/early in the morning when people who had better things to do with their lives were in bed.

Chuckles and the Crew attack! twenty squads of ten, five squads to each HALOite group, with the remaining fifty crewmen moving to reinforce the base. Keep in mind, any half-decent fighter should be able to easily vanquish an average member of the Crone's Claw. However, each squad has their own decent soldier, wielding a cutlass and pistol, ready to bring the pain.
They wait for all of the cannonballs to make impact before the charge, after the first volley the HALOites will find 150 bullets/musket balls (give or take) heading their way.

Before I write my post in Riverside, I want to ask you a question. HALO only has nine characters in Riverside. Three characters per team. You are controlling 200 pirates. That is 40 times the number of characters I am controlling, 100 times the number of characters Bushranger is controlling, and 200 times the number of characters Rotting Baron and Zefir are controlling. You are sending 50 pirates against each team. That's almost 17 bullets being shot at each PC, most of whom, as I've said in a previous OoC post, could be easily killed by a single well-aimed bullet. And that's on top of all the cannonballs and shrapnel from an airship that the HALOites have no way of attacking even if they could see it. On top of the dozen or so demon apes that have already weakened one of HALO's teams. On top of an incredibly powerful demon goddess (?) AMENite who has so far been shown to be more than a match for another of HALO's teams. So before I start my post for this battle, a post in which characters will die and other characters will try to escape (most likely just to die in the next post after that), I'd like to ask you a question, Aric kale.

Is this fun?

I gave Zhang a try and didn't really like the feel of him, then realized at some point that he didn't really have a concrete reason to be in the Nexus; he was just kind of there chilling out and talking with people and not really doing much. I think in retrospect I'd rather play someone who's going to cause trouble and do stuff but I don't know any of the local plot hooks. What exactly do the resident factions typically fight for and over?

Arbitrary lines of Good and Evil, Law and Chaos. Also money, power, and all of the usual things that put people in conflict in real life.

My apologies. I was not thinking. I will consult with Hatter, but I'm thinking fifty, zombie-level crewmen with cutlasses should be better. At which point, Chuckles will be the only real opponent. Note, Hubert "Chuckles" O'Reilly has two, water-magic revolvers which concentrate water and project it like bullets with the force to punch through concrete. By concrete I mean a sidewalk. Also, the bullets dissolve seconds after they injure a body and the revolvers have to recharge after every six shots.

Oh no, there's no need to apologize. I guess that post of mine came off as accusatory and overly critical, but I just want to set the record straight. To point out exactly how one-sided this fight is. And my question was sincere: Is this fun? I enjoy RPing character development more focused on romance and friendship/rivalry than combat. Frankly, I have no idea why some people enjoy playing armies and large corporations. But that's okay! I don't have to understand why you like what you like. The Nexus is all about giving players a chance to tell the stories they want. So if this is fun for you, I have no right to force you to change. But if you're not having fun, well, maybe we can work out some more enjoyable RP?

There's no need for you to edit your Riverside post either. I knew that HALO's teams would face both powerful individuals and large numbers of henchmen in AMENside. I made a choice to keep the power levels and numbers low on my end, sidelining my more powerful PCs. Would I be enjoying myself more if my PCs were fighting other PCs and not being outnumbered by armies? Yes, but that doesn't mean I can demand that AMEN characters not defend their home from invasion. So please don't feel like you need to change anything for me. If it's IC and you're having fun, then I accept it.

Honestly, I don't like Roleplaying for large groups/armies. I love combat, yes, but I prefer 1v1 or a bar fight. Hatter and I knew how weak the crew was, but I didn't emphasize it at all.
I am really only posting in Riverside so that Hatter doesn't have to run the whole ship/crew by himself. So I am purely a foil in this case. I will not have fun if I have made it unfair. I will edit my post so that none of the ground crew have firearms except for Chuckles, as he's my GM-NPC, and again emphasize their inability. they are purely swarm-based.

Alright, if you'd prefer it that way. Since the crew uses single-shot muskets and old fashioned pistols anyways, the HALOites will only have to deal with a mad charge now.

We're sending fifty down, seeing as a fair amount is needed on the ship. The fifty are pretty much easily killed with one successful attack. They're skeletons, they break and regenerate much later on the ship. The power levels in the fight should be able to take them down.
