I have no idea what jammer you're referring to or what it would possibly do about a camera.

The jammer that the robots are running that messes up anything electronic within a certain radius. Cameras have circuitry in.

That's something that people should know about when you placed it there, or at least after Kirk approached it. I couldn't possibly know what this jammer was or that it even existed.

In any case, Kirk doesn't actually own a camera. SC suggested he borrow Dena's camera, which isn't a camera like we think of it. It's actually magical in nature, as it has... some kind of very minor devil inside that paints a picture of what your taking a picture of. It's rather silly, but flavourful and I like it.

That said, what exactly do you mean by "messing up anything electronic"? Because I'm sure Kirk has over devices on his person and I'd like to know if those were affected.

Actually a lot of cameras don't have circuitry in them. Digital cameras do but anyone that uses film don't. It is a very physical process. That is why you can turn a watermelon into a pinhole camera.

Okay, essentially it generates a static-electricity field in a radius of a couple of meters around the robot. It isn't noticeable to organic beings. This static field confuses the electrical circuitry inside devices because everything's on at once, and renders them useless. It's designed to bypass standard insulation, but anything heavy-duty will function. It doesn't damage anything.

And I know that, McBish, but I was assuming that it was a "standard" modern camera, which it evidently isn't.

Well I won't dispute that your intention is that it won't damage anything, but the way you describe it, it should. Static electricity getting into a circuit like that would absolutely destroy any and every circuit board that the robot got close to unless it has insulation most things wouldn't have. So, yeah. You might want to rethink how that's described/accomplished.

As a random aside, is that a blanket resistance reduction?

Cause that makes the possibility for a really cool Lightning rod device/weapon or a way to make people have seizures. Bioelectrical reactions and such.

Sure that sounds better. Like Happy said, it's not really that important that it conforms to actual physics. But I figure that if you want to explain it technically it's best to do it in a way that not very obviously wrong.

True, although it'd be a bit unfair for AMEN if one of their combatants just up and vanished for OoC reasons. Still, I'm willing to skip Alexandrian if others are as well.
