Re: What '-mancer' would you be?
'manteia' is the root of mancer and it means divination. So necromancy is divining things by using the dead. It has come to mean power over the dead though. But if you find any other 'mancers' they are diviners too, such an oneiromancy which is divining from dreams.
Anyhow, in the vernacular, I'd be a juicymancer since you never know when you'll need a fruit beverage.---------------------------------------------------

Re: What '-mancer' would you be?
I don't know. I mostly stick with the greek meaning of "mancer", so I would be a...
Chronomancer? I predict the future by seeing the time!
Well, because that is so cheap I'd like to be a computomancer, then I could build a computer which could predict the future for me. That would save me a lot of divining, starring inside pools of water, crystal balls and all that, which is bad for your eyes, and use the time saved to play D&D.

Re: What '-mancer' would you be?
Let's see... hmm... I think I would be... ehm .... maybe ehm...
Fortunamancer
I would wield words of power that would change destiny and would give me the power to bring luck to my allies and misfortune to my foes. I would learn the future by observing one's (miss)fortune.
Or maybe a bit stranger:
Lexomancer
With my lexomantic powers I would enforce law and justice. I would be an avatar of honour and a paragon for my people. Those we disobey law, fear the Lexomancer!Last edited by Izodor; 2007-01-10 at 10:25 AM.

Re: What '-mancer' would you be?
Going with the common and gnerally accepted definition, I'd be a Chronomancer. How cool would it be to manipulate time? Failing that I'd be a Snackomancer. Free snacks! Wooo!

I already feel like a codeamancer. I swear, when I go back and look at some of my code, it seem like magic is what made that piece work.

Storymancer.
Don't quite know what I would do- maybe be able to tell kick ass stories with sound and visual effects. But they would still be stories- words out of my mouth- not movies. Because stories are cooler.Spong.
