The Silver Stars of the Eclipsing Moon

[Maryring]

"Y... yes. Go ahead." She stands up and retrieves a nearby lantern, before she lights it. "Here." She says as she places it besides Bronsk. "Anything else I can do?"

Right. Karl starts to run back to the inn, to fetch some water.

[Maryring]

"Wait." Nina says before Karl can leave. "Take this bucket with you." She says and points to a bucket standing behind the entrance door. "The nearest well is in the market place. Do you need me to show you the way?"

Bronsk retrieves a small blade wrapped in pure white gauze from his healer's kit. He sets it carefully to the side as he continues to watch the old man's breathing.
"Well...not much. A pillow for hiz head, maybe."

Tyrgen
On his guard against any immediate threats, Tyrgen double checks the area, then says bluntly to Nina: "You can tell us what happened here. Who was that? Why did they attack you?"

No time for that. Karl grabs the bucket and Nina's arm. Let's find this quick!

[Maryring]

"There's one in me room on the top floor. Just git up the stairs an' climb the ladder and fetch it." Nina manages to say before she and Karl leaves the building. Nina leads Karl to the market place with the well and gives the rope to Karl. "Here. Tie the rope to the bucket. I'll remove the lid on the well." She says before she swiftly moves the wooden lid from the top of the well.

(Use Rope DC 10 to tie a knot strong enough to bring up water.)

Not wanting anyone to go off by themselves, Tyrgen takes off his cloak and rolls it up into a makeshift pillow.
"Will this do, um, Bronsk?", he asks.

Lisaa

Lisaa just stands there and gawks helplessly for a while. She sheathes her shortsword and asks Bronsk "Can I help you with the the wound ?"

Bronsk pushes his hair out of his eyes and smiles a slightly-haggard smile up at Lisaa.
"No, Sorry. Unless you have training as a healer...No. But thank hyu, Lisaa."

He nods at Tyrgen "Thanks."

"I had some training as a healer." She kneels down and tries to help Bronsk if he allows it.

After passing the makeshift pillow to Bronsk, Tyrgen goes to stand guard just outside the door. A brief thought distracts him for a moment - Better remember to get that cloak back: Felis believed it had protective power - but then he turns his full attention to the streets and rooftops around the area.

Alright. Karl carefully ties a knot in the rope (taking 10, gives me 12) to attach it to the bucket.

[Maryring]

"Good." Nina takes the bucket and throws it down into the well, where it is filled with water. She then takes a firm grip of the rope and pulls up the bucket. "Grab the bucket and untie it while I hold it up." She says when the bucket nears the top.

Bending carefully over his work, Bronsk begins to try and clear up the sides of the wound using a small clean cloth and a bottle of raw grain alcohol. After a while, he sits back.
"From here, I wait until there is water."

Karl unties the bucket while Nina holds it. Right, let's go. He jogs back to the Museum, careful not to spill the water.

[Maryring]

Nina nods in thanks, and the two hurry back to the Museum. They arrive a few minutes after Bronsk finishes treating the wound with alcohol. Nina, realizing that she would just be in the way, decides to wait outside the building with Tyrgen.

Tyrgen greets Nina with a curt nod and makes room for her. His gaze still carefully scanning the approaches to the Museum, he asks her, more hesitantly this time: "Um... what happened here?"

Karl plonks the bucket down in front of Bronsk. Right, now for some prestidigitation... he speaks a set of arcane syllables, and clamps his hands on the sides of the bucket. The water bubbles and steams, quickly reaching boiling temperature, then dying down to merely hot.

Bronsk smiles and gets down to the somewhat messy work of removing the bolt and then healing the wound.

[Maryring]

Bronsk carefully dislodges the bolt without causing a big bleeding, before he closes the wound with his magic. The man seems to awake with a start, before his eyes closes again in deep, healing sleep.

"I... I dinnae know." Nina says. "I was sittin' in me room when suddenly I heard something fall. I checked to see what had happened, and I saw a shadowy person run out o' the building. I couldn't get a good look o' him, because I was more concerned with grandpa who was bleeding at the bottom o the stairs." Suddenly her face becomes pale. "Wait here..." She runs into the building, past Bronsk, Karl and Lisaa and into the actual museum. A short while later she returns and runs up the stairs. She checks both of the rooms above before she returns back to the top of the stairs. "They're gone... The Sapphire items from Michelle... they're all gone." She says, dazed.

"Michelle... Ami?" says Tyrgen, realising what has happened only slowly. His eyes flashing with worry, he turns from the street to look at the others. "We need to follow that thief. Now!"

[Amiria]

Lisaa

"Yee !", cries Lisaa. "But where to ? He moved incedibly fast and could be anywhere in this city or even beyond by now."

Tyrgen

"The hunted does not always go far, if no pursuit is seen..." muttered Tyrgen, almost to himself. He paces across the room, stooping to pick up the arrow, then turns to face the others with half his mouth raised into a smile. "We have the ... skills to find him, I think."

[Ozzy_G]

Yeah, let's follow our noses. He moves away from the building, the direction the attacker went, sniffing as he goes.

"Right." Lisaa goes into the museum and tries to get a good impression of the rapscallion's scent.

Tyrgen
First making sure that Nina isn't looking, Tyrgen examines the scents on the arrow used by the thief. It would help if I could change... maybe later.

Bronsk
Straightening up from his work one last time, Bronsk washes his hands with the remaining hot water.
"There. He'll be fine, but we should get him to bed, I think."
He listens as the others talk of tracking. he sighs.
"I'm pretty good at finding people. Even here, I guess. But first, Tyrgen, hyu can help me carry this fellow? Nina...Just make sure he rests, I guess. We'll go and look for the thief."

Tyrgen
"No, we should let him sleep where he is. The trail is growing cold... but if you want, you and this girl can carry the old man to bed, and then you can catch up," Tyrgen suggests, as he heads back to the door. "The three of us will be easy to follow."

Bronsk looks suprised, but then shrugs.
"All... right. I'll follow then." He gives Nina an apologetic look.
"Would you please help me move him to bed?"
