"I'm sorry I took your feelings. I was trying to get her to be stop acting on her pride and think what she was doing, and you interrupted. I just-" Anchor takes a few deep breaths. She's not going to cry in front of the cat.

"Oh." That's, uh, actually logical.
"Well I guess I'll do what I can. I don't have a neural network or anything set up, so I couldn't tell you specifics anyways until after the fact."

Leaving Med Lab

"It's ok. She has a lot of pride. It'd have been too much for you to swallow anyways." Reinholdt says with a half-smile. It's a joke attempt.

"This is a two-way process, Reinholdt. What kind of support do you think you need?" Brand asks, taking a seat on a mossy patch. He offers his bag of nuts and berries to the other two. "Are you hungry? Mostly blackberries and chestnuts, but I got a few hazelnuts as well."

Anchor falls to her knees just outside.
"You're right! I would have been useless anyway!" It looks like it went over her head.

[Reinholdt]

"Not at all!" Reinholdt insists kneeling down to hug Anchor. Poor girl. He has no follow up words though, having messed up the last try.

GLoG campgrounds

Xenna walks back into GLoG. She has a bottle in her left hand and a red bag in her right. She heads back to Oak Cabin and doesn't emerge for the rest if the day unless stopped.

Anchor is shaking, saying nothing, but is hugged, and goes to put her arms around Reinholdt. It's good to be solid enough to hug people.

"I'm sorry. Tovia's a meanie, fox-face, and she hurt you and others and it wasn't fair. I thought you were really cool in there though."

"Oh, thank you. Really? And isn't she your friend?"

Rein finally lets go when the time seems appropriate.
"Well, yes, but even friends have faults." Hers just happens to be being a meanie-face.

"Thank you, but nuts and berries don't sit well with me," Reelshka says. "And that's enough, really," she tells Reinholdt.

Anchor fades a bit away when they let go. No need to stay solidly present. "Okay.
She goes to stand up then, a little calmer.
"They have a sad story to be, I guess."

[Reinholdt]

[Outside]

"Maybe. Tovia's here for redemption for a reason after all." Might not end sad. Rein goes to help her stand as he stands himself.

Woods

"Support? I um... I well... errr..." No one's ever asked him that before. He needs to think about it, and certainly not on an empty stomach. "Food's a good start, thank you. I've been working all day." He'll accept some of the offered berries and nuts. Not the best meal, but it's something.

"Yeah. I guess we're all broken one way or another." Anchor turns a bit away.

"It can't be done. The magic of the portal dilutes the magic of the sun, and they aren't compatible. Not for Conjurers, anyway. Heliotheurges can do it, but they aren't very common and don't make very good vampire hunters anyway- they store magic from the sun, so they've only got a limited supply at night, when the vampires are most active." Necromancers make good vampire-hunters, and most vampire hunters are also necromancers in Natalie's Earth. Most vampiric wizards are also necromancers. Witch hunters, however, are nearly never Witches. And Witches are almost never killed by witch hunters, as Witches use Earth-magic, much like a Druid, but whilst a Druid can power themselves by tapping the magic of any forest, Witches can only tap the power from a limited geographic area.

"Oooh. I see. I guess that does make sense." Jamie nods. "And a Sunlight spell can be used for vampires. Or Mom could just yoink their brain stems or something." Jamie pauses. "Does a vampire even need a brain stem?" she wonders.

Tovia winces in emotional pain at that blow. And then Quinn's words knock her to her knees. I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. She gives up on fighting. She starts to give up on a lot of things. She's just so tired. I don't want to sleep... I don't want to see them in my dreams again.

Quinn hesitates...then goes to step forwards, trying to kneel and embrace Tovia tightly.
"I love you. I don't want to lose you. I can...help you sleep dreamlessly so you can do this rested. I don't want you to give up. I just want you to be safe." she whispers.

Tovia doesn't hug Quinn back. She just kneels there, almost in a stupor. No. She spits the word out like a drowning man giving his last, reflexive, exhalation. I'm doing it now. I have to. ... You should... go.

Jamie's Room

"Actually, rather than summoning sunlight, I could just send them somewhere else. I don't just teleport things to me; I can teleport things to somewhere else." Though at the moment she's not got the experience to teleport something as large as a vampire, and she's not yet teleported anything alive.

"I don't know much about vampires. They tend to keep a low profile, so nobody actually knows much about them besides the vampires and the vampire hunters, who mostly learn through experience and trial and error." Because vampires are dangerous, and being over confident through formal training often gets would-be vampire hunters killed when the vampires do something unexpected.

Quinn squeezes tighter for a moment, before letting go, still with tears in her eyes.

"Oooooh. That's a handy thing to know. Hey, how far can you teleport them?" Jamie asks, the look in her eyes suggesting that 'into orbit' would be a cool answer.

I will. I promise. The Druidess' eyes aren't exactly dry, either. She stands and starts looking at her floating script.

"At the moment? Line of sight, under a mile. Eventually, under two miles, anywhere there's space. Or through a dimensional hole." Basically, to another plane of existence. "There's a personal teleportation spell that is theoretically limitless, but in practice nobody uses it for distances over ten miles except in an emergency, and never over about forty five miles. There's a slight chance of never reappearing after the second mile, and the longer the distance the greater the possibility to the point that nobody ever reappears after trying to teleport over a hundred and one miles." Which makes it pretty useless.

Xenna walks into the kitchen. She looks tired, and appears to have been crying recently. She tiredly makes herself some coffee, forgetting the bread still stuck in it.

"Well, if you were teleporting a vampire or something, you might want them not to reappear, right?" Jamie points out with a shrug. "Or maybe through a plane shift to Pandorum or something, but who knows, they might like it there."

She sounds like she's slightly drunk.

She says, pouring her Bread-Coffee into a glass.

"Ok" Tanar says. He then, walks out of the Main Cabin. He reaches down to pet Lena when she approaches from out of the surrounding woods.
