Re: Werewolf V: Werewolf DnD
A bit of conversation:
all: Please give DLD a chance to reply. Even if I am convinced of her guilt, we should allow her to speak for herself.
Alarra: Thanks for the compliments. But besides that, you are right. DLD being the Baner is the worst-case szenario.
churchofbanjo: When my claim is proven, I expect the Fighter to know what to do. I don't think, I'm in immanent danger.
Goblin Music: I don't think we should let Blood off the hook easily, but we can still lynch him tomorrow. A devil, however, must be killed immediately before they scry one of our key roles.
Selrahc: I prefer not to edit my earlier posts. It makes it easier for me to bring them up later as evidence in my favor.
Gralamin: I am prepared and will even buy the rope myself.

DLD, it has been decided that for the security of this village, you are to be put to death. May the gods have mercy on your thrice-damned soul.

Re: Werewolf V: Werewolf DnD
I believed that DLD was a good guard, just trying to protect everyone from this thread...but, sadly, that's not enough....
i'm also a little suspicious of this seer...but it must be my natural paranoidal tendencies...also, i will not accuse DLD until he's given a chance of defending himself against the accusations...it's the only fair thing i can think off right now...

*LLink looks on at the pointing crowd.* "Curses, if I had the Lens of Truth this would go so much easier, but it was broken in the fall as well. Well, apparently this fellow has some powers. What do you think, Navi?"
*Navi, having found someone who isn't annoyed at her, hovers over Ms. E.* I'm not sure what to make of her. She's seems to maybe be a barbarian, or cleric, or rogue, but never the same thing often. She's miscellaneous.
*LLink just sighs and waits* "I understand the suspicions people have against you. I'm curious why you chose to scry on this draconic lass instead of one of the ones the other, more suspicious, folks. That is my only question about your power, if you can answer it, I'll happily vote for you.
I do agree she deserves a chance to speak on her behalf, so I'll cast a vote at the music playing goblin, since his skill threatens me as a musician myself."
LLink points at Goblin Music (not for any particular reason other than GM has no votes and S.F. said he wanted DLD to have a chance to speak, so I don't want to add to the auto-lynch.)

Ms E raises an eyebrow at Llama. "Well, I guess that makes sense. Getting lynched without being able to say anything in your own defense is just kind of a pain. So, I won't vote for DLD yet. I'm gonna make Goblin Music feel better by pointing at Krystal Tiger."

A fellow dragon? hmmm, I too wish to hear this "devil" to speak in her defence, for I will kill a fellow dragon only if I am SURE, and "seer", I take my place among those who wish to hear why you choose to scry on this guard.

Re: Werewolf V: Werewolf DnD
Llama, banjo: It has something to do with my Seer-strategy. Usually, I will scry the people who stay in the back, play nice and don't draw much attention towards themselves since - according to my experience - the wolves are frequently hiding among their ranks. DLD matched the pattern, but finding her among the villagers was sheer luck.
This strategy has other merits too: Sometimes you find your seer/fool-counterpart, sometimes the baner.
Plus: Why should I scry someone who is suspicious already? Maybe they are lynched the next day. If I would come out as a seer, pointing at Blood, I would meet mistrust even with a correct scry. When I point at someone who has met absolutely no suspicion before, the suspicion of me being a wolf, sacrificing one of their kin, has less grounds.
So, basically: Why I scried DLD: Luck. Why I scried someone like her: Best way to go.

Re: Werewolf V: Werewolf DnD
Blood looks to King_of_Griffins. "As I have already told you, my life is at stake. Why would I not provide every argument possible? Are you saying that if your life was threatened, you would give one argument and then sit back and give up??" He turns to Joosbawx, and is about to explain his point, when Joos changes his vote. He then looks toward the "bard". "You are definitely not the first person to vote for me with no explanation." Blood sighs.
"As I always waste time having to be on the defensive, I will simply jump on the bandwagon here. I'm sorry, DLD, and I hope I'm not condemning a villager to death." *Blood points at DLD*Yup.

*The llama nods at Silkenfist* "Your logic makes sense. After DLD has spoken I shall most likely follow your lead, but she does deserve a chance to defend herself."
(Does this game have illusionists? Witches? Are we overlooking the possibility of something here? If S.F. is the seer and found a victim of an illusion, we could be in major trouble after we lynch him tomorrow. )Last edited by Atreyu the Masked LLama; 2007-01-17 at 08:54 AM.

I think we shy away from doing that. The reason being a list of the exonerated is effectively a dinner menu for the wolves.

Re: Werewolf V: Werewolf DnD
Actually the worst case senario is that the devil found our seer and the wolves volunteered a normal wolf to claim to be the seer to trick us into lynching the seer at the expense of a normal wolf.
But that's seems very unlikely especially since they would simply eat the seer if they were found. (or try to eat...)Endless thanks and praise to my anonymous benefactor for the great Tharjatar... or is it a Smitatar?

Re: Werewolf V: Werewolf DnD
(Illogical, yes. impractical, yes. Possible, yes. And as long as its possible, it is worth mentioning.)
(^actually, if the wolves knew DLD was the seer, it would be worth the loss of a packmate to hang her. They are afraid of attacking at night in case the baner has her protected, and its a huge blow to moral if a village hangs its own seer.)Last edited by Atreyu the Masked LLama; 2007-01-17 at 01:20 PM.

Re: Werewolf V: Werewolf DnD
The absolute worst case scenario, is Silkenfist being a proxy, and someone with an actual role, for the Fool. And DLD as the seer. That would mean we lynch the seer, keep the fool, and lose a villager with a role.
