Re: Werewolf V: Werewolf DnD
Blood looks to Griffins and says gravely, "Then you would condemn yourself to death only because you did not defend yourself. And you would condemn me to death only because I did."
Yup.

Re: Werewolf V: Werewolf DnD
Church nods at Silkenfist's logic. "That sounds reasonable. I also would like to know who the known villagers are. Then again, this could be used as a ploy. If Silkenfist was really a wolf, but the wolves decided to condemn a wolf, then they could pass off with two, or I think 3 wolves off of the hook because we would think Silkenfist was a villager. I believe you, Silkenfist, but I think the wolves are devious, and we need to look at every aspect of the situation."

Re: Werewolf V: Werewolf DnD
Ilaissa has a thoughful expresion. With all this talk about the seer, and the devil, it makes me think: What about the fool? Silkenfist could be the fool, and if he miscryed, then if we hang DarkLightDragon and shes a villager, then we will hang Silkenfist, but that will cost us time, yes...and time is what we do not have. She seems to be more talking to herseelf now, and shes pacing. No, we must hope Silkenfist really IS the seer, and not the fool...now if someone else came up, claming seer, and pointing at someone that they scryed to be a wolf...then yes, mabye we could try to determen which is which...but how...hmmmm.
She gives it some more thought.
But no, it would be best if they don't revel themselfs yet...because right or wrong, the wolfs would come for the seer, fool, or anyone, also, so if the second scryer waited, then he/she could find out if they are the fool or seer when we examain the body...yes...
She runs inside her house, and the sound of a quill on parchment can be heard, she didn't close the windows, so anyone can see shes writing down a random name,...anyone whould think shes gone mad.
She then folds the parchment, and puts in a wooden box, then hides the box under her bed.
Now...I think I need a nap...just a quick one...
She falls down on her bed, and falls asleep before her head hits the floor.
The mistress had one of her crazy days again...*sigh* sometimes I worry about the stress this place puts on people...Zira shakes her head.
((YAY FOR CRAZYNESS!!!!!!!, and if your wondering about the name on the parchment, you have to ask Zira.))
((also, don't worry about Ilaissa, she is just a little stressed...ok a lot stressed...))
((I know people will point at me for this, but I can't help but right stuff like this down ))
((this was based on a funny dream I had last night...sorry, but a like being crazy ))

Re: Werewolf V: Werewolf DnD
I am aware that there IS a possibility of me being a fool and that I might be about to have the town waste two lynchings (If I am wrong, I will insist on being next). However, even that might be acceptable - at the very least, the real Seer would be assured in his scryings and be able to start contacting his scries.

Sorry, everyone. The end of this day has to be extended until tomorrow morning. I couldn't get here until just now, and I don't have enough time to write out a lynch scene for DLD. My library closes at 7. Again, sorry.

Re: Werewolf V: Werewolf DnD
"Hmmm... I suppose you're right Silkenfist. We can either be rid of the Fool, a Wolf, or the Devil, which helps us. Therefore, I stick to my vote, and hope that Silkenfist really is the Seer, and that the Fighter (I know you're out there) will know what to do."
Church walks up to Zira, who is perched up high. "Hey Zira, can I ask you a question? I know your mistress has been stressed lately, and I think I have an idea. Maybe she has plenty of dragon companionship from you, but what about her other half? I can talk with her sometimes, you know, become friends with her. It will take a little off of her mind." He looks around hurredly to amke sure no one is listening, and then he switches into a Faerie Dragon dialect of Draconic, and whispers, "Also, if I can help your mistress in ridding the town of these wolves, who might prey on her next, then I need to understand some of her thoughts. Would you know what she wrote on the paper?"Behold my Ceikatar! Spiffyness leaks out of it at every angle, forcing you to bow before it's superior majesty!

Re: Werewolf V: Werewolf DnD
You claim that I am a wolf and the Devil, Silkenfist?
*DLD turns to the crowd*
I know that Seers have been heard to use this tactic in other villages with success, but what if, this time, it is being done to sacrifice someone in exchange to get rid of an important villager? Do you really want to risk losing someone who can make the difference between winning and losing? Of course a wolf sacrificing themselves would mention finding a Devil to make others want to jump on the bandwagon. They know this would work because it has done so in other games. Look how blindly you have all been following!

Zira
Zira giggles at Malmagor Andrgals statment.
Zira turns to churchofbanjo, Yes, i've been thinking about that for quite sometime now, and i'm sure that the Mistress whould like some time with other elves, and I think it would be a great idea, and your right about her being stressed, sometimes she goes down into her hourd for hours on end, coming out only to voice her opinion, and to buy more locks...She nods, and flys onto churchs shoulder, and whispers in his ear in Faerie Dragon, I didn't know you knew any Fey? hmmm, anyway, come behind the house, I think I can trust you.

Re: Werewolf V: Werewolf DnD
Just one point, Lucky.
If she is an important villager, it's practically fait accompli that the wolves will take her down tonight (err, post lynch nightfall) - the wolves will presume the seer is protected by the fighter, and go after the vulnerable, valuable target.
So I can certainly see why she wouldn't want to make that claim; as it paints an even grislier bullseye on her. The lynchings, at least, have been fairly straightforward. The wolfkills, on the other hand ... *shudders*
In the end, it all hinges on whether Silkenfist is the Seer and not another role, or being affected by another role.

Re: Werewolf V: Werewolf DnD
First off, DLD prefers "she."
Ok, I suppose I should fess up here. I have been contacted by two "Seers," both of whom saw me as a villager out of sheer luck I suppose. Or one's a Wolf. We'll have to wait and see.
But the important thing is, the other one to have contacted me saw DLD as a villager, and I actually put Silk up to the task of looking at DLD so we could set up this situation: find out which is the real Seer, assuming one isn't a wolf. But if one of them is the Seer, she's either the Devil or a villager.
Even if she isn't a wolf, we are likely only killing a villager.

Hey...can I point now? My pointin' finger's been itching lately...ever since my butt got lynched in the classic game. Well, now I can start paying more attention to this one...I will say, this vote is based off nothing more than a callous disregard for my own safety.
Points at El J.
I don't know why...but it seems like fun. Now, who wants to give me the lowdown on what's been happening in this game?

Re: Werewolf V: Werewolf DnD
((As noted earlier, my earlier vote was because I thought the night was going to end sooner - also I did not expect to be able to use the machine tonight when I originally posted. As I got the time to do so, I have reviewed the events of the village, and decided where Helgraf would have voted originally. Thus, this post.))
Helgraf speaks up. "It seems nigh certain that DLD is going to get the noose ... but reviewing older statements, I wish to keep the villagers' minds on another one of our suspects - since it won't break the lynch, therefore..."

The monk has retreated to his sanctuary and retrieved two dresses. One dress is made of fine silk and silver and has fine thread woven into it to form an embroided, wide opened blue eye.
The other dress is a jester's suit with a lot of bells tied to it. On its back, a big sign, reading "Hang Me", is attached. He folds each dress, putting them on either side of the improvised booth, then sits down and waits.

Re: Werewolf V: Werewolf DnD
I'll tell you the point: one benefits the village. If you're going to get killed either way, and you are a villager. Go out and say it, if you die by us, then we've wasted a lynch, if you die by the wolves we get to use that lynch for another purpose and the wolves have to use a kill to get you. So saying you have a special position will benefit the villagers, and isn't that what matters? I'm prepared to sacrifice myself for the benefit of the village, as all good villagers should be.
It should be the village above oneself, so, if you truly are a special villager, give us a hand here will you?SpoilerAvatar by jamroar

Re: Werewolf V: Werewolf DnD
Sorry for the extreme lateness, people.
End of Day 4!
As written by DLD:
DLD looks on, expressionless, as the rest of the village organises the gallows for her hanging. She uses this opportunity to sneak back into the guardhouse. When the noose is finally put up, they turn around, only to find that DLD is gone, and so have the two guards that were standing next to her. A few of the villagers come up with the idea to explore the guardhouse, but noone can figure out how to get into her room. A long time is wasted on lockpicks, spells and brute force before the door slowly swings open just enough for everyone to squeeze through one at a time.
Upon entry, another shocking sight is discovered. Again, noone is there, but there are bones littering the floor, which is stained a dark red. A look upward reveals an open window, but it is very high up and cannot be reached by someone who does not possess wings. DLD must have been in a rush to have not hidden it. The two guards from before are not here, either...
The search for DLD has been taken to the nearby forest. Everyone spends an hour wandering about until a twanging sound is heard and a villager drops dead. An arrow is embedded in his chest and it is too late to save him. The mob follows the sound, but as they go on, more twanging sounds are heard and three more villagers, two men and a woman, have been killed by the time they find what they are looking for.
In the clearing in front of them stands a huge beast, part wolf and part dragon, surrounded by stern-faced guards who remain loyal to it. Gasps and words of shock are heard from the village as the realisation of who this beast is hits them. DLD looks up at everyone and grins wickedly. A minute of silence goes by. And another. Suddenly, the guards charge at the mob as DLD howls and casts spells, both offensive and defensive. Guards who are loyal to the village try their very best to protect the commoners. Guards who are loyal to DLD hack away at her enemies.
The fight has been drawn out over quite a long time, and things are looking bad for the villagers. But, just as DLD is about to strike someone down, she collapses and falls unconscious. After the surviving evil guards have been driven away, the good guards, who are fairly nervous, edge closer to her body. After few minutes of searching and removing arrows from DLD's back, a few more brave villagers come up to have a look. There are five silver arrows.
Everyone jumps as a faint snarling is heard. DLD has returned to her senses and is now staggering around on all fours, weakly attempting to slash at the guards. The guards only take a moment to get over the surprise this time and are quick to kill DLD before she can fully recover. Yet another surprise comes when a third eye materialises on her head. Everyone who is still alive cheers at their victory.
The ghost of DLD rises as her Captain form, gives a respectful salute to the villagers and disappears, with a thankful look in her eyes, as briefly as she had come.
...With the Devil gone, everyone returns to the village in good spirit. They also wonder how DLD had survived five silver arrows. Was it because of her powers? Magic? The colour of her scales? The villagers congratulate each other, then return to their homes where they spend the remainder of the night.
DarkLightDragon, a wolf and the Devil, was lynched.
Night 4 ends tomorrow at 11 AM. Seriously this time. I don't know if everyone who was at risk for being auto-lynched voted, but I'll check tomorrow and have them auto-eaten instead. Yeah. The Chronicles of Jakwin A 3.5 D&D Campaign Setting.
