Re: Hamstard forums are active!
Hey, finally decided to come out of lurker status since the cat on hamstard is well and truly out of the bag (and taking a dump on the carpet, bad cat). I'm the sys-admin for hamstard (among other things.)
No, I don't have any fun tidbits of info to give out regarding the comic, I just keep the site from exploding into flaming debris.
I went through and activated a pile of the accounts people had created, not that you can post anywhere yet.
I also got sick of going through the mass of activation request e-mails so I toggled it over to user activation so I don't have to do it.
Maybe this weekend I'll see about throwing up a forum for registered users.
(Have to clear it with Ye olde Rob first though)

Re: Hamstard forums are active!
Yeah, let's not.
Here's the lowdown, for all of you guys who can't get enough behind-the-curtain info.
Hamstard was intended to launch with fake forums going back two years and with little fake flame wars and the like. Part of the whole Webcomic-as-Performance-Art deal. In the end, there was no time to complete that part of the project, and it really would not have added that much anyway. Hamstard reveals enough about Parson for the story.
So we are going to leave the forums locked for the remainder of the story (or first chapter, or first story arc, whatever). But fear not; Hamstard will live on. The original concept for Hamstard was much broader than what you see, and we will hold it in reserve as a future treat. For now, though, Hamstard is going to remain as static as a page of the comic would.Rob Balder, Erfworld author/co-creator, and creator of PartiallyClips
