To all others: It is considered bad form to use an avatar without asking permission of the artist. Unless, of course, you have it specifically made for you. Please ask before you use any of the avatars in the portfolios of the artists unless it states in their requisites or on their portfolio site that you may use the avatar without asking permission.

If after you've posted your request to the request thread twice and there is no response, please PM one of the active artists below. (Do not repost your request until at least 48 hours after your original request, please.)

If you are PMing a request please do not PM multiple artists. They don't want to waste their time doing a favour for you if you've already got someone else doing the exact same thing.

If you've made a request but want to change it completely (that is, a whole new concept and not just a tweak to your original request) you may do so without waiting the 48 hours one normally has to wait in between requests. However, if you do this you must cancel your previous request, and you may not change it again until 48 hours after your most previous request.

A slight suggestion: to save loading time to make a post, please make a link to your picture after 3 days to make it easier on dial-up.

As much as I enjoy Ceika's work, I haven't been using Jit as much as I'd expected.

New request: Gladiator the Warforged

Race: Warforged
Notable features:
1. His left hand is a hand crossbow. probably going to be tricky to do in OOTS style, but I have faith in the forums.
2. A dent in/large scratch on the right side of his head. He experienced considerable head trauma at the end off his gladiatorial career.
3. A sword in his right had. Think scimitar/rapier. In DnD terms, it's a finessable scimitar/slashing rapier :P
4. A second version with faint glow. Currently, he isn't, but as the campaign progresses, his body is going to be enchanted in place of him acquiring magical items.

Thank you in advance, and rewards will be given in the form of amusing images from the internet that i take no credit for. That, or compliments of requested levels of fake/unreliability.

Was wondering if anyone would be interested in OotS-ifying my newest character Ajar, an albino Grippli Bard who rides an albino Glidewing and wields a Lute-bow berimbau? (I know, I know. He's quirky.)

The albino grippli bard pictured here,
in this pose if possible,
wielding this instrument as though it were a shortbow,
on the back of an albino one of these.

Both of them are albinos which means white skin and red eyes, but here are some pics of real albino poison dart frogs for reference.

The character is small sized, while the mount is medium size.
The mount is saddled and bridled, the character is dressed in just a ratty traveler's outfit.

Hello there! First of all, let me begin by wishing all a happy holiday.

Now, onto the avatar.

I would like to request an avatar of a male jaebrin (they're a type of dark-skinned medium fey). He is of average height for a being of his race, which is more or less the same for a grown human. He is unarmed, but dresses in a buttoned shirt of midnight blue and dark grey dress pants. Furthermore, he wears a pair of black leather gloves and well-crafted black suede desert boots, that look somewhat like this. His robes also come with a long black longcoat, along with a hood and gold embroidering along the edges. The hood is up. Finally, the character wears a gold mask that looks almost identical to this. There should be none of his skin showing, if possible. So practically, he would look like a human.

As far as class and pose go, this character is a beguiler (a spellcaster that specializes in mind-effecting enchantments and illusions), so that could factor into the pose of the character. Ideally, he would either have his hands out like my current avatar does, or have his hands clasped behind his back. Alternatively, he could be reaching out ahead of him, as if to take someone's hand. I already mentioned that he is unarmed, so weapons aren't a factor in how he presents himself. He should be directly facing forward, with his feet shoulder width apart. He is an agent of temptation, someone who has wealth and power, and isn't afraid to display it. If nothing else, that should be the feel of how this character holds himself.

Hi! :) I'd like to place a request -- I had a go at making my avatar myself, but while I'm kind of fond of it, I'm really not an artist.

I'd like something kind of like what I have now (or at least what I was shooting for), if someone could:

-Human anglo female
-Brown hair with blue streaks in a pixie cut
-Clothes: anything so long as it's blue
-Her cape is based off the legendary cloak of St. Brigid (blue, covered with all the stars of the sky)
-Friendly/smiling would be great; no preference as to pose

I really, really appreciate it! :) I'm sure I'll love anything someone was so kind as to make for me.

A standalone image of Ajar, the albino Grippoli bard, is a very suitable subject for avatars, but add in an entire pterasaur and the detail starts to get a little muddled.

To illustrate my point, here is a sketch I made.



The Glidewing's saddle/neck area especially has quite a lot of detail already. Now scaled down to avatar size:



Clearly, some detail may be made too small to make out were I to go ahead and render the finished piece. Are you okay with this?

Other options would be to have Ajar with their Glidewing as a sig image, and Ajar themself for an avatar; or to use a cropped version of the above sketch to focus on the Grippoli. Thoughts?

You have a valid point and you've made it well. Thank you for the visual aid, it helps. Honestly.

Would having the two of them standing side by side allow for better contrast? Or perhaps having Ajar standing slightly in front of the pterasaur?

I love the dynamic pose you've sketched but you are right that it will lose some amount of detail shrunk down. Which is too bad because I really like the energy of it.

Ultimately I will be happy with whatever you feel is best. Though, thinking about it, I would prefer an avatar over a sigatar.
