"Erm... well, maybe we could like look up information? There got to be something about this demon right? From what I'm told it holds sway over the entire hospital and that's a pretty large area. People ought to know something about it. That's at least how I figure it." She clears her voice nervously. "Or maybe we should just look for help, it feels like I'm over my head here..."

Talaitha looks thoughtful for a few moments before shaking her head. "Do you have an idea of who we can talk to about this? My resources wouldn't have an idea of what to do. If not, we can at least go to the Hospital where I can lay my Curse before we leave for a day and see if it has any effect."

Invidia waits to be addressed.
She is slightly surprised at the scene before her, but more in a "Oh, didn't expect you'd be there!" sort of way. The blood and Tamar's appearance does startle her, but not the scariest thing she's seen.

Hearing a voice from nearby and noticing Jezebel's shift in posture, Tajir pulls away. Invidia likely won't recognize him any longer, though his eyes, hair, and facial features have remained largely unchanged. He stood of a height with Jezebel now, and looked downright demonic, especially with the fresh blood drying on his face.

Jezebel gives Tajir one last thoughtful kiss before turning towards Invidia. She doesn't seem bothered by the interruption otherwise and doesn't even take a moment to hide the bite mark on her neck as it's already starting to fade visibly. "Yes? I had thought I had said to wait, but I do admit time had gotten away from us."

A woman walks into the Lotus Garden. She wears a crimson robe with brown trim, mithral gloves with wickedly sharp fingertips, boots, and a mithral mask with only glass-covered eyeholes, all painted brown. The only physical characteristics one could see are her neck-long brown hair, jade green eyes, large slate blue bat wings, and brick red skin. The woman is slender and tall (6'11").

Bello disengages from Fettina and leans against the bar next to Dena. Lorenzo is perfectly content to stick with Fettina. "There's plenty of us to share if you insist." Bello jokes, mostly. "I don't think I got your name." He adds, to Dena in particular.

"We come here every few nights or so. It's the place to be if you want to take in Riverside's night life. I take it you ladies aren't from around here." Lorenzo says, glancing between the other three women.

Darn, no answer on her offer of drinks. Clearly they're being evasive. Means they must be vampires! "Not me. I'm from Anchorage, but I live Inside."

"Nah, Westside ain't my usual haunt," Cassidy says. "Definitely glad I came by tonight, though."

"Certainly! I, er, wasn't aware we'd be staying," Sticks says nervously. Oh. The tall man did remember to inform Ryhe of his... 'insomnia', so he wonders what these quarters would be for. Perhaps the room holds other comforts. "It was lovely speaking with you, Lihanna. Perhaps we might meet in person at some point." At that, Sticks will follow Celestel to the nobles wing. The nobles wing!

"The nobles wing!" Sticks whispers in a not-very-quiet voice to Jim. He leans over and hides his mouth with one gloved hand. "I suppose Lord Ryhe's guests are treated like noblemen. I was a noble once you know!"

"Well, you'd best tell me if I'm doing something discourteous because I've never been around nobles before. " he whispers back. Oh gosh, he didn't even bring spare clothes.

She shakes her head as she walks them up the stairs. "That's why we need more advance ways to keep order which such foes at our door which is where you come in. Lord Ryhe have very high hopes for you." If she heard Stick's and Jim's not so quiet conversation she seem to be pretending not to.

"Um, well my employer did mention a demon summoner they brought in to deal with the problem. I don't know very much about that sort of thing though, sounded kind of... iffy." Obriane says. "Otherwise a curse sounds like a pretty good idea."

"Okay, let's go, kid." Tumasi does indeed block Sunny's path and tries to grab her and move her back away from Magtok and DC. Far enough that if one of them explode for some reason, she won't get herself killed in the crossfire.

Meanwhile, the Enforcers that are already in position for their perimeter are aiming guns at both Magtok and DC, but no one is thinking about shooting. They're here to isolate this incident, not stop it dead in its tracks.

"They were dead and dying when I found them, they would've just rotted in a mass grave somewhere. And I'm not one of them," the Magtok insists, shapeshifting away those freckles so he doesn't have to look at them right now. He's sure there's a perfectly valid explanation for those being there, which have absolutely nothing to do with what DC just mentioned. There's definitely an explanation; he just needs to get back home after this, and question the Magtok who gives him his orders.

"Stop saying I betrayed you; we were never on the same side! Even when we had the same enemies, you were just waiting for an excuse! ****, do you think I'm blind, that I can't see the way you've been supplying the militias of deposed dictators and the Cosa Nosferatu? You're hurting people more than I am! You're not a good person, you're not a hero, you're just a self-righteous thug with a gun! Point it at someone else!"

Magtok reaches towards a variety of pockets, trying to find something in one of them, but not locating whatever it is he's looking for. Finally, he settles for trying to tackle DC, right about when he's on the 'not a hero' part of his shouting rant.

"I SAID DON'T TOUCH ME!!!!!"

It's at this moment that it becomes obvious that DC is not the only psychic on the scene. Because Sunny has, to put it mildly, had ENOUGH. Someone tried to manhandle her again, neither DC nor Magtok are listening to her, and then that Enforcer had to go and call her 'kid'.

Machines talk to Sunny. What is more, they listen to her. And so when Sunny tells every machine on the premises, other than her own personal drone, to stop working, it's possible that the orders she gives will overpower even DC's defenses. She may not be as strong a psychic as him, but her abilities are far more specialized.

First: Magtok's cyber half is paralyzed. (godmod approved) He's not moving any of his mechanical parts, his teleport circuit robe designed by Willow will fail, and any other gadgets he has on his person will likely power down.

Second: DC's guns, techy daggers, and teleporter may power down. If she can control his armour, she'll freeze it in order to paralyze him too.

Third: The Enforcers guns and radios and other techy stuff may power down.



*This will not affect anything in extradimensional storage, or anything that is more magic than tech.

DC is briefly distracted from ranting at this not-Magtok when, first off, he notices people aiming at him. "Wait, what the hell are you doing? Isn't Evolution Industries afforded the protection of the l-"

Of course, then Sunny does...something.

There are a few fortunate things DC has going in his favor for this one. For one, he's encountered people who tried to supernaturally tamper with his weaponry before, and tries to include components resistant to this kind of tampering where possible, especially in his own personal gear. (The mass-produced stuff the Enforcers might have, on the other hand, would have less of this. EI has a budget, after all.) For two, his/Evolution Industries' MACE tech is, arguably, magitech in nature, given its method of power generation. The second part just means the power supplies themselves still work, without the former advantage. Meaning the Enforcers' weapons may or may not do interesting things if they try to fire.

For this reason, the core functions of DC's equipment appear to remain intact, and he seems to still be moving. But the resistance there isn't entirely perfect. His helmet's vision modes, for instance, aren't really functioning anymore, so it's a good thing he's out of the building. Similarly, his armor's power transfer systems stop working, so he can no longer overcharge the weapons designed to work in tandem with it, like those pistols and daggers.

He doesn't actually know all of that, of course. He just knows his helmet may as well be totally mundane now and that he probably shouldn't try to push his luck with the other things. Fortunately for him, he's still a psychic. The helmet comes off, hovering off his head, because most of its functions don't really work much now.

"..." Then DC points a pistol upward and fires it off. As it happens, the gun appears to still be working, firing a silvery, scattered beam off. It looks kinda fancy, really. Beam shotgun pistol.

"Right. Take this man into custody and get him to a memory specialist. I am not one of those, and I have no problems with Magtok's victims, only him." He holsters his weapons and sorta just (attempts to) telekinetically lift 'Magtok' over to the Enforcers. DC himself is moving away from the building. He can't exactly stay near, what with his protection from the gas gone.

I'm not sure where he thinks he's going, but he certainly isn't listening to Sunny any more than he was before.

"You'll want to bring gas containment crews and firefighters. Although the fire suppression ought to be working by now. I have a war to plan."

Speaking of Tina's inevitable crash... "Sure, I'm buying. You know what, everybody's drinks are on me tonight," She says. Oh man, that Ichor Liquor stuff's mostly blood if she remembers right. If the vampire thing weren't confirmed already, it is now. Be cool, Tina, be cool. She meets Lorenzo's gaze with a small, amused smirk. "Though it's not very polite to let a lady buy you your drinks."

Sticks waves his hand and purses his lips to make a rather unconcerned noise. "Oh, just try not to..." The thought doesn't get finished, however, as their host is addressing them once again. Sticks listens as he plods on through the garden, taking great care not to step on anything that looks important. "Your Lord will not be disappointed, I promise you." He offers a complimentary smile, but mild concern is there again. Less about how long the project will take, but more whether he can truly keep that promise he's just made. "Is there a chance I might meet Lihanna later on? Her techniques are... intriguing, if she should be allowed to share them."

Cassidy quietly snickers at the name of the drink Lorenzo mentioned. Ichor Liquor? What kind of mixed drink was that? She straightens up when Tina mentions that she's buying drinks. "Hell, get me a Green Russian, then," she says. "I'm feeling dangerous."

They will now find themselves in yet another corridor, but this one is decorated far more elaborately than the one they passed through on their way to the garden. The walls are draped in dark red velvet fabric with expensive looking paintings in black wooden elegantly carved frames.

"In any case, this is the nobles wing where you will be staying. Just try to avoid touching any of the art work, the lords are very proud of their collection and would hate anything happening to it." She comments. "Now is there anything special you wish to have arranged? There is a theater called the hall of masks a bit further who plays at requests if you're interested. Otherwise there is a celebration of the midwinter feast coming up if you're interested in meeting the others who stay here. Any questions?"

Who older than seven goes around touching paintings anyway? Jim supposes that it's just a precaution.
"Yes, um, I'm assuming the idea is for us to be staying for the remainder of the time we're working, yes? Because I didn't quite realize that earlier and I didn't bring nearly enough clothes, so I supposed I'll have to leave at least once to get more.
Erm, I'm also an herbivore. That won't be an issue, will it?"

"I'm afraid I'm not a very good dinner guest, Lady Celestel. I would likely only darken the mood at a feast. A play, perhaps, if there's time and interest, but we are here to help Lord Ryhe more than anything," Sticks explains in a good mannered tone of voice. He folds his arms behind him as he walks, glancing about at the paintings to see if they resemble Ryhe's towering, faceless visage.

He'll let Celestel answer Jim's questions for now. He can't think of any more that aren't terribly irrelevant. "Yes, I was unaware we'd need accommodations for more than the evening. I will, perhaps, need a few things from my shop in that event, but my bird can bring them."

The bird in question - Bolts - hasn't moved since they entered the keep, except to glance around creakily. He burns with a magical aura for those sensitive enough to see, as though there were something hidden just behind a veil.

The paintings appear to be of landscape or buildings, lone moors, shadowy forests, great cliffs by the coast, lighthouses, castles, manors and so fourth. There are a number of portraits and more fantastic paintings (like one with some manner of hideous creature is devouring a knights horse) but none of them appear of be of Ryhe.

Of of the paintings appear to be of Celestel however, she does not point out this fact however. "If you wish to leave just contact the guard by the door. Muerto. Just ask me or any servant his name and they'll guide you to him and he'll let you to the ground in no time at all. I should mention the servants aren't allowed to speak with the guests duty, the noblemen are rather old fashioned around here and it's a tradition. They also wear masks, so please don't worry about that. They will answer you in writing if it's needed." She explains as they walk through the corridor.

"I realize this all might seem a bit strange to you but our culture is just different from yours. I hope our taste in the good things in life are the same however." She gestures towards one of the black doors. "This is your room Mr. Sticks, unfortunately we couldn't get you wall-to-wall but I hope it will do." Celestel goes to open the door for them revealing a large beautifully decorated room with a wide glass window overlooking northside. It's unstained unlike most windows you see here which makes the style a bit closer to the city down below.

But the wooden walls are carved into strange patterns which at times resemble birds, serpents and stars among other things. There are also the head of what looks like a gigantic rooster mounted on the wall giving it somewhat of an odd impression. The bed is in the same theme as the room, ebony with clear white sheets hanging from the ceiling, framing it in.

"The bathroom is right through that door and if you just call that little bell on your night table there will be a servant here within ten minutes." Now how does that work?

Their guide then turns to Jim. "Now would you like to see your room? I just got a request from Lord Ryhe that your master should meet him in the labs."

Dena raises her glass of wine. "I'll just do with I have for now. Someone gotta take care of you bunch later." She says with a chuckle. "We can't give these two gentlemen a bad impression of out of town'ers right?"

Enjoy the comforts of Malchenar. I'll be back to fetch you just as soon as I can." He promises. His eyes speak otherwise. If Jim doesn't want to be alone in this strange place, now's the time to say so. Though please, lad, do it politely.

Celestel seems to have spotted Jim's nervousness and smiles sweetly at him. "Worrying about old Snape?" She gestures at the rooster head. "We've actually had guests complaining about him but the lords refuse to take him down. I'm guessing he's there for sentimental reasons, one of the guests killed and named him and implored his head to be mounted on the wall. Ever since it has been there as a memory I suppose." She takes a brief look at the roosters head. "But you won't have to worry about that, your room will be completely head free. I guarantee it."

"War, ha! That's all you're good for." Magtok bitterly remarks, presumably as he's being dragged away by Westside's Enforcers. Or at least, that's what I think he said. He can only talk through one side of his mouth, what with Sunny paralyzing half his body, so it's kinda hard to decipher.

"Yes, I have family. These two are part of it," Sunny says bitterly. She's still deeply hurt and furious with everyone on the scene. She spreads her senses further, reaching into the building and trying to turn things off, though this is going a lot slower than her first outburst. She's careful to leave the fire suppression and any other important systems working, while turning off weapons and things that are dealing damage. Assuming this works, it will likely take more than a few rounds for her to clear the building, and of course, something might interrupt her.

Tajir is relieved, but confused, by Invidia's lack of reaction to him. Using his shirt, he wiped the blood from his face. He had no intention of keeping the remnant of his enslavement, anyway, and presumed Jezebel would provide him with fresh, properly fitted clothing. If anyone understood the difficulty of fitting wings and a tail into proper clothing, it would be her.

His face clean, Tajir transitioned back into his normal human form. The change was smoother and easier this time, thanks to being fully fed. "I'll go back to the other room." He says, offering Invidia and Jezebel privacy. "I think my armor is there, anyways."

Sticks offers a little chuckle for Jim's benefit, smiling mildly while he waits to be addressed. He can be led anywhere else - the tall man follows quite willingly.

The rooster head didn't actually bother him that much. It's certainly... odd, but no more so than anything else in this severely magical community.

Jim smiles a little. "I sure hope not. I need mine safely attached at all times." he jokes slightly.
Who goes around hunting giant monsters like that for trophies?
He'll still let himself be led to the room, regardless of his opinion on the lords' taste.

The guide chuckles. "Well let me just fetch a servant." She takes out a bell from a pocket in her dress and rings in it and soon enough a white dressed woman approaches.

As Celestel claimed she is indeed wearing a mask, a black one to be specific. She curtsies with her long white maid dress. "How may I serve you mistress Celestel?"

"You can guide this young man to guestroom 5. Ishani and Bellamon should be waiting there for him." She turns to Jim. "It's two of my private attendants. Lord Ryhe though they could show you around a bit more, you can always dismiss them if you like but they'll be waiting for you at the room. Enjoy." She says with a sweet smile but suddenly remembers something. "Ah, before I forget, I shall personally inform the chef of your particular diet so do not worry about it." And with those words, unless Jim has further questions, Celestel will guide Sticks to the labs and leave Jim with the servant who will in turn lead him to his room.

Jim doesn't have anything else to say, and since he was told the servants speak as little as possible, he won't bother to strike up a conversation, simply looking around and trying to memorize the surroundings and occasionally scratching Barnabas under his rusty-red chin.

Sticks follows Lady Celestel, being just as cautious as his young aide. He's not a particularly wily fellow, and has lived a very quiet life for what is, essentially, a lich, but six hundred years is a long time. You learn not to trust people very well.

Of course, what choice did he have? A proposition like this, with wealth promised... The tall man straightens his suit and strokes Bolts sleek body, more to comfort himself than the bird, who so far appears placid as a frozen lake. The automaton is well acclimated to indoor environs, and makes little fuss even if their surroundings tighten up a bit. The bird peers, that's all. Concerned for his master alone.

As the Lotus Gardens are such a large area several city blocks in size, the visitor will have to talk to someone specifically unless she's grabbing random people off the street.
