Firstly, the whole business of the first world / the gates / the snarl is a huge mystery throughout the comic. While this is the first concrete mention we've had of the previous world since the Crayons of Time, the subject has in fact come up before in discussions of the other two components of the mystery.

Secondly, are we expecting people to use this thread to answer "what happened in strip X?" Or do we want to answer "in what strip did X happen?" My view is that the second is a vastly more useful question to answer, and the previous world info is the most likely thing to be sought from the strip in qiestion.
Why should a man be scorned if, finding himself in prison, he tries to get out and go home? Or if, when he cannot do so, he thinks and talks about other topics than jailers and prison-walls?

I agree it's about the second question. But, where to find the answer to that question depends on what X is. The summary helps with finding a strip quickly, by pointing to major events. It can't recall everything. Sure there can be a debate on what is a detail and what is major. But I think if you want to find the list of times the first world was mentioned, then a search of Wombat's Transcription is a better way than combing through the 1000+ summaries. In other words, the summary is useful for those who already have a rough idea of where they can find something. Trying to make it the place where you can find every little thing doesn't seem possible without it becoming a full transcript, and that already exists.

Perhaps we could use "Either the dining hall is real, or Roy's name is Maurice"? It's shorter and still gets the point across, and the summaries around it give enough context if it's needed.

Probably derped. Tweaking it to bring it in line with the syntax I meant to use.

Good summaries, but for #1101 I would put in something about the ambush. I think users would look for that. Also:

Eh. Maybe "1105: Hilgya is looking for Durkon and with a child"?

And that sort of reduces the page to just its last panel (important as it is).

    How about:
1105: OotS out of the cage, and the return of Hilgya

I like this, but we should probably get something about the kid in there. Maybe "OotS beat back the vampires, and Hilgya brings Durkon's child onto the scene"?

We'd be jumping to the conclusion that it's Durkon's (yes, yes, I know it's 99.99999% certain).

    How 'bout
1105: OotS out of the cage, and the return of Hilgya & her Bundle of Joy?

I don't worry about spoiling, since everything in the summary is a spoiler, and DaggerPen has the appropriate warning in the OP.

So, I'm just going to suggest:

#1101: Cleric corpses turn out to be vampires.

This is a little too long, we don't need to recount every bit. How about:

1104: Tactics discussion in front of the enemy leads to embarrassment.
