Re: RWBY III: These Kids Just Keep Getting Weirder!
That's not quite what I mean. I don't think her abilities were taken for granted; I think some aspects of her choices and personality were taken for granted. To me, the important part of the above scenario would be coming up with an interesting reason why Pyrrha wasn't there in the first place, something that told us about her hopes, dreams, goals, fears, and the like.

Cinder's style that we've seen for is combo oriented. Definitely Brand.
But agreed RE: Pyrrha.

Re: RWBY III: These kids just keep getting weirder.
Psh. You guys have it easy. I had to live with Biblography being wiped from the Internet.
Okay so maybe I used a half-truth there for the sake of drama, but I don't expect to see Bibliography as it was ever again. And Elagune has also disappeared twice on us for months at a time while making Thaumaturge.Last edited by Hiro Protagonest; 2014-02-01 at 10:31 PM.

RWBY might have long haituses, but unless something ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE happens, such as the death of much of the crew, it won't ever go away until the story is complete.

Re: RWBY III: These kids just keep getting weirder.
To tide us over, let's post RWBY related cool stuff!
I'll start with this acapella cover of This Will Be the Day by AwkwardMarina. I'm subscribed to her mainly for her pony stuff, but then this popped up and I'm like "bonus!" For someone doing all the layers herself, this is actually really good.
(She's a great singer otherwise too and has and amazing voice. It's worth checking out her other stuff as well.)Quoth the raven, "Polly wants a cracker."

the acapella version makes me think that Ruby somehow dragged the RWBY team into a team singing competition....and won...

Re: RWBY III: These kids just keep getting weirder.
That was quite amazing.
I figure the the opening will change up personally, if not a new song then some new animation to foreshadow the actual events.

Re: RWBY III: These kids just keep getting weirder.
She really is good, but I could find that it lacked a bit of depth that a more base-like beat could have provided. I admire her way to do so well with what she had, though, and it's not like I know the first thing about beat-boxing anyway, so.
I think maybe new animation, but they might want to keep the tune just for recognition. It's certainly strong enough to go another round.Quoth the raven, "Polly wants a cracker."

In particular, the last minute of that video was sublime.
Taking it in the other direction, this cover has that electric guitar Rain Dragon was craving.

Re: RWBY III: These kids just keep getting weirder.
I was going to post it. I like the "metal" vibe that he added to the song. Obviously the reason to listen to it, is the more round and full guitar... the voice part, is good, expecially for the voice in the back with a very different approach than the original song, but it miss something in the "main" line.
About the "imogen heap style" version, It's quite good. She miss something in voice deepness but it's ok. The last minute-minute and half in which she start to make some experiments is actually good. The beginning... not so much.
I like also this a capella Mirror-Mirror. She's got a very clean voice. Sadly the transition between the first and the second part is a little bit "empty" without the base.I'm from Italy. So,sorry for my bad English!

I liked Mirror Mirror a lot too. A bit barebones, but I an imagine it being sung in an empty cathedral. Very atmospheric.

Re: RWBY III: These kids just keep getting weirder.
Ah well I was trying to be nice. I think she should've found a friend to do the beat boxing. If I had to guess she's a mezzo-soprano or soprano, so the beat-boxing she did for the underlying beat was probably the best she could do. Nonetheless, it doesn't compare with YouTubers like Pentatonix or Peter Hollens. I do prefer her tone to the tone of the singer in the theme song, but I think the singer in the theme song has an attitude in the way she sings which fits it more.
Hmm, probably. I'm just used to theme songs changing a lot.
Oh, awesome. Thank you.I go by they/them/their or he/him/his pronouns

*sigh*
*grabs thread and drags back to first page*
So, apparently there's a fan character contest, and everyone who cares about it is in the FFRP and only posted about it there?
Anyone have info on that?Avatar of George the Dragon Slayer, from the upcoming Indivisible!

Fine. I'll make my own fan character contest. With blackjack. And hookers.
In fact, forget the fan character contest. And the blackjack.

Re: RWBY III: These kids just keep getting weirder.
You know one of the most interesting things they can do with the show that they probably won't do is..you know..teaching these kids to become badass hunter of monster.like teaching them war or the brutalness of combat and teaching them lessons of the darker aspects of life and there jobsand we still don't know really anything about the jobs there trying to get.you know stuff like in the witchier games or create morale conflicts like they are becoming soldiers for a war or becoming grey wardens like People that has to deal with politics and trying to do what's good for the people but I'm getting ahead of my self and the possible future of the show.
I want them to learn lessons that you know..help them with the job there getting then just simple school work,I mean they are alrighty badass fighterswell most of them so they need to be turned into badass hunters.maybe I just want them to show more brutal combat and people getting hurt.If it sounds like I'm trolling I'm really not.
I'm not the smartest thing ever[even know I can seem like it] so I'm going to be wrong some times so just call me out on it.[i swear I'm not trolling]

Re: RWBY III: These kids just keep getting weirder.
Thus far Huntresses seems to be a "Heroes Guild" type organization with a focus on monster hunting and (presumably) some form of government support. The latter is a guess, but feels right over some kind of bounty/reward system.
Wouldn't be the first time some organization of high powered individuals had a fairly vague mission and support structure....
