    Default OOC: Magic vs. Might

Okay everyone, we shall now make our OOC posts on this thread.

I carried over some links and compiled them right here:

    Campaign Material:
    Setting/History - https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...gfE/edit?pli=1
    Additions/Changes - https://docs.google.com/document/d/1...IZDAW9wPI/edit

    Character Sheets:
    Mousedigits - http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetvie...sheetid=807002
    DrunkenMists- http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetvie...sheetid=802435
    ImperialSunligh - http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetvie...sheetid=802497
    ImperialSunligh's Summon - http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetvie...sheetid=802514
    Fungusamnguss - http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetvie...sheetid=803085
    Samshiir - http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetvie...sheetid=802954
    Rysc - http://www.myth-weavers.com/sheetvie...sheetid=802667

I believe we should begin at no later than 12 PM PST, possibly 11 AM

Alright as for who's in, here's what I seem to understand:
    Samshiir - Today
    DrunkenMists - Today
    Fungusamnguss - Today
    ImperialSunligh - Today
Rysc - Possibly today (If not, join in later along with Mousedigits)
Mousdigits - Next weekend (Join in via the quest)

So, I asked on the other thread which 3 PDFs would be best for this campaign and DMing in general, from this list, and was wondering if anybody had any suggestions:
    *Gamastery Guide
    *Bestiary 2
    *Bestiary 3
    *Bestiary 4
    *Mythic Adventures
    *Ultimate Campaign
    *NPC Codex
    *Ultimate Equipment
Any suggestions or ideas I haven't mentioned?

I've noticed a few minor missing details on some of the sheets, such as languages or hit die. Please fill those in if you have not already.

Edit: Also, some things are not quite clear across the sheets; please only put your current amount of GP in the currency box, some sheets have other things listed there or nothing at all. Also, please try to keep all character info within the same location, preferably a character sheet, this will make it easier for me to locate stats quickly.

Within the next 2-3 hours leading up to our campaign's beginning, I will be leaving various posts adding on to the setting or questions about everyone's characters that will help them define more traits. To start us off, I have a post on some new major factions within the world:

    The Purists:
A group that has secluded themselves within a tower, purging their minds of nearly all self-thoughts, in an act to learn more of the future and defend their mind against the corruption that can lead people into abominations. If anyone ever has a question, these guys have the answer.

    The West Colonies:
Aequa has colonies on both its western and eastern halves. This set of 7 small pirate settlements is ruled by single king (No idea on the name)

The East Colonies: This is a prospering set of 11 colonies on the eastern coast of Aequa, each lead by a lone king (No name yet).

Hey guys I've created a number of new beasts to use in the campaign, so I'll just post them here:

The Lost (Mindless abominations formed from the devouring of one’s mind by a demon. These guys have lost their soul and retain no aspects of their former self)
    Subtypes:
    Rage CR 1/3
By far the weakest of any Lost, serving under a Rage Demon in a small pack. Can only be formed by being physically devoured by a Rage Demon. This creature is a fiery mass of magma and rock, with no visible face.
    Desire CR ½
Slightly stronger than the Rage Lost, these one’s are caused by people making deals with demons and having their fate horribly twisted. They are very ghoul like with the exception of massive claws in place of hands, and only eyes yet no mouth.
    Insanity CR 1
The strongest type of standard Lost, this one is caused by a corruption of the mind from having prolonged contact with the Abyss or Demonic creatures. Unlike the other’s these guys keep their human form yet end up looking abominable, with glaring red eyes, ash flesh, claws, etc. The thing to remember about insanity is that unlike the other Lost variants, Insanity happens slowly, with the afflicted slowly becoming closer to madness. Insane, even at their full corruption, are the most intelligent of any Lost type.
    Insane Sorcerer CR 5
Sorcerers rarely go insane, as they have somewhat of a resistance to demons, but when they do, the results can be catastrophic. It is said that an insane sorcerer eventually transforms into a demon.
    Lost variants Any CR
Normal versions of animals except for the fact that they have become far more hostile and persistent.

Demon Types (Just a new demon type or two to add)
    Rage Demon CR 1
These demons are the weakest known to man, resembling a tall humanoid shaped figure blazing with fire. They attack the mind through rage, provoking people to fight them, then eating their soul in the end.
    Defiant Any CR
Defiant can be any type of demon, and are simply demonic spirits whom have begun to question the ways of their kind and start to rebel against them.

    Void Walkers CR ?
These are ancient beings that have spent eternity travelling across the planes, so much that they have forgotten their past life. It is said that Plane surfing can change people, and it seems that these ones have developed a certain immortality.

The thing about the Kingdom of Greenroot (our starting location), is that it is actually an extremely rare exception in the north. The monarch there recently passed a law that permitted magic for general use throughout the nation, and this did indeed create some foes for the new monarch. He had since received a number of death threats and petitions from citizens.

    Background and Goals

    Short Background:
Time has changed the face of the world, as it always does. A Few generations ago, nobody would of forseen that it would change the way it has. Magic isn't a Hidden tome deep in a wizards towers. It's a Way of Life, a Convenience to all. Some lands, like those of the north and the Empire wish to go back to the old ways; But some born to the new ways, Like Risya, Will fight to keep life evolving.
Risya herself has learned into the arts of the Wizard; Specializing in the art of crafting magic items; Learning a new profession that past wizards only dream of making a real living at; Safe in a shop making things people want to actually buy, and not just the adventuring types.

    Long Background:
Alysha's Grandfather Hailed form the Iron Republic, The Dwarves' main source of ores and one of the best defended stronghold on the Material Plane.
The Problem with Dwarven Culture; is often one is left following in the foot steps of ones ancestors in what your career will be; what your capable of. Grandpappy grew bored of the life of a miner and wanted something different, So he left the mines, left home and set out for Aurum, seeking out a human kingdom to ply a trade instead. Turned away from many other jobs for much of his younger years, he worked for various blacksmiths, and a few large building projects until he saved enough to open up a blacksmith shop of his own and settled down.
The want to do something different than ones ancestors also seemed to pass along into at least one of his 3 sons, and my father set off on his own to find his own way in life. This was about the time magic was starting to make a large surge into the daily life; and even dwarves, a race so often keen on avoiding magic that my father found himself apprenticed to a wizard of some minor renown; seeking somebody willing to skillfully mold metals and stone for his projects, the wizard was willing to loose hold on some of his magical knowledge's, part in wondering what a dwarf would do with that knowledge.

40 years ago I was born, Magic is everywhere; but is still largely used by those born to the touch of it. My Generation seems to be setting out to make it accessible to all, through the use of what I've called...Applied Enchantments. A lot of it needs a Testing environment to figure out all the nooks and crannies of it's applications..and as such I've become an adventurer.

    Personal Goals:
    • Learn and Large Smattering of Magics for use with Item Creation, lower reliance on Scrolls.
    • Gain Someway to Access a Good Selection of Divine Magic, Again, lowering reliance on scrolls
    • Create at least one Unique Magical Item

    Things to do:
    • Get a Larger List of Spells known.
    • Better Spell Book (like blessed book; but without secret page?)
    • Dominate at least one scenario with overprep.
    • Plan Item Crafting Feats by level/feats

Yup, and just an idea on how we should all format this:
I'm thinking "message" for speaking, 'thought' for thoughts, *Action* for action and /message/ for out of character posts.

    I'd Suggest....

    *Gamastery Guide*Bestiary 2
    *Bestiary 3
    *Bestiary 4
    *Mythic Adventures
    *Ultimate Campaign
    *NPC Codex
    *Ultimate Equipment

Because the Game Mastery Guide is always useful as a GM, Ultimate Equipment is well..Ultimate. And "monster manuals" aka Beasteries usually get odder the higher the number.
