    Default A strategy game reference?

Since the battle is about to be joined, and before I get too confused, is there a reference for strategy games similar to d20srd.org? Even for this old gamer, having a reference to check has been useful at times for OOtS. Since I've never played a turn-based game such as Erfworld, I fear I may at some point get a little lost.

Just wondering if anybody knew of such a reference.

    Cheers.

Given that we have no clue what system he is using (it appears to be one that Parson made up), there is no form of reference I can think of. If you run across any unexplained things, though, you can always ask.

It doesn't appear necessarily to be one Parson made up, but it is probably a unique system. All you we really know is that it is turn-based and point-based, there are heavy-type units and flying-type units, and each unit represents an individual (as in a game like Warcraft, but turn-based), not an army (as in Civilization). The closest I can think of is Warlords, but in Warlords cities did not have tactical maps to fight on, while Gobwin Knob clearly has a tactical map... i.e. you can get in close and see what every unit does, it is not averaged out for the whole army.

Gosh, what a lesson in the dangers of homebrewed gaming. The good news is it makes sense to me so far, I think. And there'll be none of the rules-lawyering that has occasionally accompanied OOtS.

Thanks for the replies. At least I know who to ask when I get confused.

    Cheers.

No, I'm fairly sure this is the world that the guy has spent 6 months or whatever creating.

Perhaps we'll get a better idea of the game mechanic in the official Erfworld wiki Rob mentions here.
