Freed from a schedule, he's now going to take one month per page adding highlights to everything...

Re: Goblins XIV: Clerical Omission.
That's not entirely impossible. We probably shouldn't joke about it.
I don't know how I feel about him resuming the comic. I'd rather he put his health first. Hopefully he's in good enough shape that it won't be a burden on him.

Re: Goblins XIV: Clerical Omission.
Thing is, he's an artist. He's part of that group of people who communicate through the visual medium. Emotions get expressed through this medium, and frequently no other. It may be helpful, even cathartic, for him to draw something he loves, now that he's dumped some of the baggage related to schedules and expectations.
Then, he'll get immense excitement and positive feedback as a result, and get into a scary loop of chasing that high. Well, let's hope not.

Re: Goblins XIV: Clerical Omission.
Easy solution, he is forbidden from going on the internet, his lady friend will update the comics and he is not to be allowed to read any reviews or anything of the sort. /nod Honestly, I am a huge fan of fanfiction and I see this happen all the damn time. You have an author with a dozen stories, each with literally thousands of reviews saying how awesome it is, and yet they focus on the half dozen anonymous trolls without enough cajones to so much as make an account flaming the crap out of them. They get upset, hurt, obsess over the miniscule fraction of people saying they hate his work, and they quit. I even know WHY it happens, but still, it sucks seeing people snap over the little stuff when they clearly have such a fanbase.

Re: Goblins XIV: Clerical Omission.
I dunno. THat seems a lot like the time where he posted that tiny piece of his disturbing monster picture with the comment of "Here that should clear things up" and all it did was cause more confusion and raise more questions.
Now after 5 months of nothingness he posts a picture that says even less than that.

I've got nothing against anyone, but I'll only be on my guard when the RSS feed starts tingling

Re: Goblins XIV: Clerical Omission.
At first I was like "what lady friend" then it occurred to me you probably mean his wife?
While your solution is a solution, I'm not sure how easy it is. Being stuck away from the Internet would suck. In any case, I'm sure they've discussed many options.
I think total avoidance, in the long run, would probably be a problem, although in the short-term it's definitely a good idea, but it's a temporary patch while issues are being dealt with.

Re: Goblins XIV: Clerical Omission.
Yeah couldnt remember if she was a wife or not at that moment. And I was being mostly tongue in cheek with my no internet comment. I just figure keeping him away from his comic online would help a lot, because you just freaking KNOW there will be trolls waiting, hovering over their keyboard, desperately waiting for a sign that he is back so they can be as nasty as possible and make him have another breakdown.

Re: Goblins XIV: Clerical Omission.
We aren't allowed to talk about religion here. I would imagine that rule extends to the mocking of religious figures.
I've honestly lost all interest. I was only keeping up before because of this thread, and the fact that I was already invested in a few of the characters. After the long break I just don't care any more.Last edited by Anteros; 2014-09-06 at 08:17 PM.
