Trubbols Drawing board
Hello! I draw stuff... this is the right place for that... right?
I would really love to do a big webcomic like what this site is about... but I am not very smart, and not a good writer or story planner, I require dictation for most stuff, and I will not start until I am sure that what I have down is perfect.
That all makes sense right?

Re: Trubbols Drawing board
Hm, not into that cheekmouth in the third one, but the animated first one is quite nice.
(There will be plenty of people who are looking for an artist. Careful there.)

Re: Trubbols Drawing board
Honestly, if I were to run into someone looking for an artist who had an interest in me, I would consider myself lucky...
Um... if I were to try and do my own... story thing... here would be my protagonists.

Re: Trubbols Drawing board
I have been uh... working on a concept thing for a sort of military faction... I do not know how to describe these things. Do these characters roles and jobs seem clear at all? And do they fit with each others design?
I also drew a thing

Re: Trubbols Drawing board
Hm, these military-ish guys look very "prussian", which is certainly a style in itself. Very familiar.
As for Xycon... he's(/was) a human, so don't forget his heels. Humans need those to stand.
Meanwhile, that Bad Guy is certainly shifty. >_>

Re: Trubbols Drawing board
Wayland Sulferstriker, Paladin.
He is a new rp character. I thought I was only going to use him once, but somehow he beat a lich in a rap battle.
Wayland stays.
Also... I end up in really weird rp's sometimes...Last edited by Trubbol; 2014-04-02 at 05:19 AM. Reason: Wanted to explain more.

Re: Trubbols Drawing board
Gilligan is a former military member who was discharged for not being up to par in certain studies, and being caught under the influence many times while on duty. Having some skill with the sword and not many other abilities in general, he decided to turn pirate.
In combat he is typically the first to jump into the fray, though when things seem a bit too out of hand he is more than willing to sit back and watch the chaos. Gilligan seems to be unlucky, and often takes quite a bit more physical punishment than other members of the crew.

Re: Trubbols Drawing board
Anyone want to do a comic? I'd be drawing, you'd be writing. It would have dark times and light times, and a lotta actiony moments! We'd say lines that are cheesy and regret and rewrite them later, and have a few running gags. I want to be a webcomic artist so badly, I want to make a world that people would want to explore and want to imagine being there. Heroes who you would wish to win, cheer when they do, cry when they don't. I want to make a story that people will remember.Last edited by Trubbol; 2014-07-19 at 07:28 AM.

Re: Trubbols Drawing board
Hi, I'm Thanqol. Imagine me as a tall, gaunt skeleton dressed in brown with water pouring from my nostrils. I'm a deft writer and a beginning artist. Welcome.
If you wish to see my writing credentials, I've written some MLP Fanfiction. Another one of my stories, Yours Truly, has 1723 likes/25 dislikes, so I'm pretty okay at words. Oh, and apart from fanfiction I've got a degree in creative writing from the Australian National University with a distinction average. I can also draw a bit. I'm your guy, basic'ly.
However, I take my craft seriously and a webcomic story is a big commitment of time and creative energy for me, and I don't know you. I've got a couple of questions:
- How much time do you have to spend on this project?
- What content are you comfortable with? How dark are you prepared to let this story be?
- You've drawn a lot of anthro figures. Is that what you want to do?
- How many times per week do you want to update? How long does it take you to produce an 8-panel comic? In full colour as opposed to black and white?
- Do you want creative control over the writing at all, or do I have a free hand to do what I like?
- How many years of your life do you realistically want to spend on this project? Many webcomics go on for decades.
And some personal stuff:
- Favourite movie!
- Favourite comic!
- Favourite novel!
- Favourite artist!
- Favourite author!
- What is the greatest virtue?
And least favourite for all the same questions!
Basically I'm out to see if we're creatively compatible.Last edited by Thanqol; 2014-08-01 at 09:05 AM.
