Tenet runs her finger up and down the door, tracing the crack. The motherlode. She giggles softly at her little joke.

The attention of two PCs is enough to soften the deadtime, melting some of the goop that flows out of the cracks like liquified brain matter leaking out of a fractured skull.

"And our boss had better have laid in a LARGE stock of Pantene," Arina grumbles.
After all, it's the only shampoo that gets deadtime ooze out of your hair.

She scowls, and channels spooooooky energy into her hands to start melting it faster.
They're on a clock here!

"Wanna go find Sammie?" Dani asks, after a long moment.

Tenet keeps an eye out while waiting; she doesn't have anything to speed up the process, so the best she can do is watch Arina's back.

Holding Dani in her lap, she nods and sets off!

Sam is here, putting holes in paper with her Glock.

The deadtime ooze rapidly flows away. The room is opened! I can't think of anything better to put here, so let me leave you with the words of Howard Carter.
With trembling hands, I made a tiny breach in the upper left hand corner... widening the hole a little, I inserted the candle and peered in... at first I could see nothing, the hot air escaping from the chamber causing the candle to flicker. Presently, details of the room emerged slowly from the mist, strange animals, statues and gold – everywhere the glint of gold. For the moment – an eternity it must have seemed to the others standing by – I was struck dumb with amazement, and when Lord Carnarvon, unable to stand in suspense any longer, inquired anxiously "Can you see anything?", it was all I could do to get out the words "Yes, wonderful things".

Arina laughs, and steps forth into the room with a VERY broad, almost frightening grin on her face. The ghost's hips swaying with every step, and her eyes darting around the room...knowing that victory is at hand.

Dani wriggles against Carrie as she's carried...and as they arrive she grins and waves happily at Sam!

There is a drop-dead gorgeous woman lying on a bed. Late thirties, early forties, the exact age is hard to tell, but she's definitely got more mature appeal than most of the ladies in this base. Long and wild red hair, pale skin, freckles, a casual green dress. She smiles, Sleeping Beauty, and she actually looks innocent. She hasn't looked anything but innocent for a very long while, now. Once upon a time, a wicked Goddess with her name and face gave Tobias and his family no end of grief. She was defeated and mindwiped, she was cloned, this was an alternate reality version of her. Whatever the truth, this woman lived in HALO for some time with no knowledge of why the Vulpans couldn't look at her without hatred in their eyes.

What is she dreaming of? This Druidic Goddess, Boudica.

Shantelle suddenly kneels before her.

Civvy really wants to ask about Kyne recruiting, because she had thought Kyne didn't want anyone. But she knew better than to ask that sort of thing in front of a prospective follower. So she just stayed quiet, and waited.

Dani giggles, hugging Sam tightly and returning the kiss. "We figued we'd join you and have some fun," the little redhead declares happily.

[The Crypt]

"You're looking at her. Seems this gorgeous babe is the key to making all our hopes and dreams come true," Arina declares, chuckling as she winks at her partner-in-crime. Now all we've got to do is get her out of here."

Carrie kisses her, cuddling against the taller woman with a smile. I missed you, sweetie.

After a thorough inspection to be sure the goddess in question is in one piece and intact, Arina grins at her partner. "I carry. You keep annoying insects off my back."

...and when she's ready, Arina will hoist the sleeping goddess up and over her shoulder!

"Oh, I dunno. Maybe start with a shoot-off," Dani says...far too innocently.

Carrie squirms. You two can shoot if you like... I... I've kind of been put off guns, at least for a while. Shooting and killing the woman she loves tends to do that.

Death is part of nature, one of the constants in even the Nexus. I am a ronin, a masterless warrior, and wish to serve a noble cause. What better noble cause for me to serve than to protect death, a part of nature, keeping it from being bypassed, corrupted, or even ended?
I am loyal to the ends of space and time, and would even gladly kill myself if I was ordered to.

Civvy, from her place standing behind the kneeling Shantelle, shrugs a helpless shrug at Kyne and an expression that screams 'I don't even know'. Civvy definitely wasn't one to try to tell Kyne what to do, but, from her kneeling explanation of why she wanted to sign up, Shantelle kinda weirded Civvy out.

Yes. Might I recommend you start with a solid? Liquids are relatively complicated, especially something as chaotic as this pool. A small puddle might be more a beginner's speed. A little plastic ball is even better. Arlem follows him to the water's edge and places a small reflective sphere next to him, and goes to set a hand on Leo's shoulder to turn him towards it.

[PSI-chosis]

"Seems like it," Leo replies, although his thoughts run more along the lines of sarcasm like, (Yeah, so I've noticed.) Regardless of his annoyance, he ceases his struggles with the pool's water and turns his attention back to Arlem, who directs him to a diminutive ball placed nearby. Moving it around with his mind isn't quite as impressive as the feats he was hoping to accomplish earlier, but those things would probably take some practice to muster anyway, so starting small and working his way up isn't such a bad idea.

Leo starts the exercise by trying to learn more about the little sphere: walking around it to get a better idea of its volume, prodding it gently to watch it roll, maybe even picking it up to gauge its weight if he's allowed. After performing such studies for a few minutes, he stands back and simply stares at the object, trying to move it with his newly-discovered senses. Of course, it's not quite so simple in practice, and there's no sign of any progress at first. Eventually, though, as he starts to get frustrated, the orb might start to wobble in place a bit, even if he doesn't notice...

[PSI-chosis]

Mr. C concentrates . He concentrates so hard that his natural camoflage makes him becomeing red. It needs a bit and he manages to get at least something like a shield. Nothing that would stand someone trying to break it, but at least something. But then Arlem touches wants to lay a hand oin the shoulder Mr. C sits on. The shield breaks as Mr. C steps to the side and plops up on Leo's head. Seems like he will still need training befor getting used to things.

[DoomITP]

A loud crack can be heard throughout the base as a certain planar's fist punches through a permadeadtime stasis chamber and a scruffy looking man rolls out.

Purple thirty two!! Wait... What? I'm alive. That's odd.


Wow, it's been a long time.

Carrie squirms. You two can shoot if you like... I... I've kind of been put off guns, at least for a while. Shooting and killing the woman she loves tends to do that.

Caelynn disappears, before teleporting behind Arina with a flurry of yellow petals signaling her position as she tries to grab Arina to use as a meatshield! I mean, surely Tenet's not going to shoot her partner in crime, right?
If you're senior members, explain why she just tried to shoot me!

Arlem watches the little creature apparently heat up with effort, hiding a laughing smile behind one hand. "You went dark there for a few moments. Not bad for someone who didn't think they could do this. It helps, remember, if you have a specific reason, but eventually you'll want to simply be able to close yourself off whenever." She shivers slightly; it's a necessary technique, but still an unwholesome one.

Leo doesn't see what Arlem sees, unfortunately, and he has to wonder if she's just toying with him. Of course, that only gets him more agitated, which feeds into his psychic influence and gradually increases the magnitude of the ball's movements as his power acts upon it. Now that it's more visible, he picks up on it right away, although he's not quite sure if it's moving on his mental commands or just wavering slightly for a draft in the room. In order to be sure, he tries lifting it into the air, willing it to levitate with great anticipation. As one might expect, Leo's fervent wish ends up being overkill, and the little ball suddenly jumps up from the floor, startling him and causing him to recoil in a most humorous fashion. "Whoa," he exclaims. "Did, uh...Did I do that just now...?"

The object reaches the peak of its flight about three feet from the ceiling before falling back down to the ground, bouncing a few times after its initial landing. Leo gets an idea while watching this and tries to catch the ball as it falls. His initial attempts don't produce any results, though, and that failure raises his temper slightly. He growls a bit and reaches toward the orb as it bounces again, pretending to grab it tightly in an exaggerated gesture. To his shock, however, it actually stops in mid-air, floating a foot or so off the ground in his imaginary clutches. After a few moments, he moves his hands from side to side, and the object follows his movements tit-for-tat. A smile breaks out on the spiritualist's face, and he laughs nervously as he declares, "I did it...I-I really did it...!"

Leo realized the potential of Kinesis α!!

Eira smiles back and says,"I'm Eira. I'm a minor weather goddess, specializing in the wonderful kind of light rain or snow that makes you want to run out into it and just enjoy being wet!" Grant will likely notice that she is, indeed, quite damp.
