Pitiful, Thenacus thought as looked upon the scene of deztruction. He had heard nothing but the swooning of bards regatding this Elminster character.

But from looks of it (not to mention the pleading cry for help), the old fool was not so formidable after all.

Regretting having ridden his horse to death getting here from Hillsfar, Thenacus trudges towards the smoking tower.

Vio had told them nothing of the sort, but he was clearly in one of his moods. There was no point in arguing with him when he got like this.

"I suppose I'll fly up and see if there are any signs of life. Can you see any tracks Halevel?"

as you peer out from the trees, you look upon a scene of devastation. A thorp consisting of four houses and a small mill, located along the banks of a swiftly flowing creekin the shadow of an oak covered knoll, lies in ruin, wholly comsumed by fire. A small band of massive humanoids and a group of humans occupy the center of the clearing. The bodies of unarmed humans lie scatered about the area. It is unclear if ther are all dead...

There are no visible tracks in this path.

Then corrupted knight looks down at the carnage.

"You, Vio," Thenacus says to the flying man (he never bothered to remember their names, he hope that one was Vio), "what manner of beast are they?"

If he was to take advantage of this strife and take over the Dalelands himself, it was important to establish himself as a savior quickly as possible.
