    Default Stacking buff spells

    Yo dogs..

I was thinking... WOuld it be possible to stack spells like spell enhancer? It does not specify what kind of bonus it gives... meaning that un-specified bonuses stack... right? I know the particular spell only works for the next spell cast, but this is more of a generel question!

Thanks in advance for your great and comprehencive answers!

While non-typed bonuses stack, they must be from different sources. Lets say you have the effect of deathkneel on you (for killing 1 mook with deathkneel), which gives you a +1 untyped caster level bonus, then you use your swift action to cast spell enhancer, you are now sitting on a +2 untyped caster level bonus for your next cast spell.

If however you attempt to use deathkneel again on a different mook, you will not gain another bonus caster level since the source of the bonus is from the same exact spell.

But if we imagine that we were to create a number of spells with a different name, but all of them giving a +1 (untyped) to caster level, would we not gain +1 for each of them?

If the spell was different by name, then yes, all the untyped bonuses would stack. Theres probably a thread about minmaxing caster level somewhere related to this.

You could, but since this is explicitly subject to DM approval at each step, D&D rules do not consider that broken, and it's not even really all that cheesy.
