Too bad I only play blue/red in commander. I might need to make a deck just for him. A deck which consists of taking control of as much as I can.

Yeah, Battlefield Thaumaturge is just begging to become part of some degenerate combo. WU also has a nice "double your army, double your fun" effect combining him with Launch the Fleets.

Unless I'm missing something, the set he's coming out in is Conspiracy, which is only going to be legal in Legacy, Vintage, and EDH (and some of it isn't even going to be legal in Legacy or Vintage). That and kitchen-table casual, but if that's how you play, what's stopping you from building Izzet on a budget?

I don't know. I just checked the Wizards website to be sure I wasn't mistaken, and it said "There are sixty-five new cards in Conspiracy. Fifty-two of the new cards will be legal in Legacy and Vintage; thirteen cards will not." I assume it has something to with the fact that the set was specifically designed for multiplayer/drafting resulting in some cards that work strangely in a 1v1 tournament setting, but I don't know for sure.

Why not? The Commander 2013 generals that care about the Command Zone are. It's just irrelevant text. In constructed, Cogwork Librarian is a four-costs 3/3 artifact creature with two abilities that never do anything.

Well, we do have spoiled a new card frame that seems like it will fit the bill for "not Constructed-legal" quite nicely.

It'll be the new conspiracy card type cards that aren't legal in legacy/vintage.

You can leave them unsleeved - it's not required - but it's generally a pretty good idea to do so.

I would suggest bringing or buying sleeves for them. As others said: it is not required. However, if you get a good/expensive card that you want to use in your deck, you will want sleeves to keep it in good condition.

Now I just wonder what conspiracies do.

...Maybe they're bringing back ownership-changing? Seems like something of the sort would fit as a limited-only mechanic, but then again supposedly one of the reasons ante was dropped was to avoid trouble with gambling laws.

I'm no expert, so feel free to disregard my advice. But I think this deck should put Thoughtseize up to four and Hymn to Tourach by the same. Bob, SM and Liliana are going to take precedence over the Hymn in the early game, so you really want to get 1 mana targeted discards for turn 1 and 3.

I agree with this. However, if you are playing very casually, this will probably annoy people. Especially since you can only name one commander in a multiplayer game. One person will hate you for it, the rest, might or might not.

I have a red and blue burn/draw deck, and, while it wins most of the time, I'd like to speed it up. What are some good combos for mana acceleration and even faster drawing? Preferably looking for creature/enchantment cards for draw effects, so I don't have to dump mana into it every time I want to draw.

    Awesome G.Cube avatar by Savannah!

Please forgive any spelling or grammar mistakes I may make, it is quite difficult to type with a pseudopod.
