    Ignores the petty bickering as the only true point is the spoils remained among the party. He follows along with the group quitely letting the others lead the way until they reach the door.

Lets not be to hasty Master Bolvar, there are more dangers then just some female with a flaming sword or a troll that is hungry."

    Calthoric slowly approaches the door and inspects it and the blood spot closely looking for any kind of hidden mechinisum.

    The door seems to be slightly ajar. Remnants of an apparent trap hang sprung and sway slightly in the breeze. The blood soaked ground looks fresh, but it it uncertain how long it has been there, maybe hours or a few days. You can smell the sent of burning from inside the cave wafting from the door. You still see and hear no one.

    [/table]Calthoric seeing that the blood is fresh and that the trap has already been triggered pushes open the door. He is still keeping eyes open for secondary traps as well as possible resetting traps. "We will want to be cautious when traveling in here. As you can see...." Calthoric points to the expended trap. "This place has been guarded by hidden means. There may also be magical devices here Thoreal do you have ways of detecting such? I should be able to spot most of them but there are some I am sure that even I wont be able to find. I will stay in the lead." With that he stows his bow and pulls out his short sword and slowly and steadily enters the structure.

    The door creaks slowly open, inside is very dark with only a little light from the doorway lighting the room. Inside smells like blood and burnt flesh. You feel a little bile rising in your throat as you slowly enter the room. Some beds lay on the south side of the room, a wooden table in the middle, some crates along the northeast wall, and a weapon rack along the north wall. Dark pools line the floor. You see no one around in here.

Circle, and warn me of danger." Turning his attention back to the group. "What's that now... sensing Magic? I do have that ability, albeit for a limited time. We had best be sure that it is an appropriate time to unleash such arcane power. I am sensing a bit of an ambush. Perhaps i should stay out side and ensure that no one comes along... traping us inside. My Elven eyes are, afterall, much sharper than that of you humans." Looking around a bit nervously, the mage puts on an obviously forced showing of pseudo bravery.

    Bolvar looks at Thorael. Bolvar has seen the fear of dark places before among his younger tribesmen. "Staying outside? We will need your mighty powers within! If you are attacked by some wondering pack of trolls by yourself outside, you will have no chance. It's better to stick with us."

    Turning to Rasellia and Calthoric, Bolvar frowns. He is fully aware that he basically just said he needs the mage with him, but is still not very found of magic. "Whatever came in before us probably set off the traps for us. I am sure we will be fine with Calthoric's abilities. But if we must use magic, then we must."

    Calthoric moves into the middle of the room towards the table hoping to find a candle or some other form of light. "be careful where you step there are sometimes pressure plates in the floor that sets of things that go boom. Anyone have a torch or some other form of light. I am having a bit of difficulty seeing throughout this room. Though I can make out most of surrounding areas I cannot tell if someone is lurking in the corners."

    Calthoric slowly moves in, the stench of death is strongly present here and is only exacerbated by the darkness. As he moves forward he can feel his boots sloshing in liquid until he bumps up against the table. There is more liquid on the table and a few over turned cups and plates with the remnants of what looks to be bread. The dampness of the cave is starting to get to you. You still do not see anyone around.

    Rasellia draws her sword once more, looking over Calthoric's shoulder. "Let's shed some light on this situation..." She passes a gloved hand over the tip of her blade, causing the sharp end to glow as brightly as a torch before walking in after the rogue. Closing her eyes and uttering a single word, she repoens them, her irises glowing slightly with a pale, blue light as she scans around the room, waiting for any magical auras present to congeal into solid shapes.

    Ras, you enter, sloshing through murky liquid. As your light is cast upon your sword you now see large pools of what you think is blood on the floor. As you cast detect magic you see an aura strongly radiating up from under the ground. Most of the room is burnt with crates overturned and grain spilled into the pools of blood.

    Confident that whatever could have popped out, would have popped out by now, Thorael moves forward. Pondering why the barbarian is holding his position, the Mage sort of peeks over Bolvar's shoulder inspecting what ever it is that has enraptured his would be friend. A quizzical glance at the barbarian proper, then back into the room, the elf is cleary puzzled. Excusing him self, he shimmies past the brooding Bolvar and into the cavern. With what little light the cleric has shed and is provided by the openeing, he takes a deeper look at one of the blood pools...

    Calthoric flashes a thankful smile to Rasellia for the illumination. He looks about the room not hiding his disgust at the scene. "Lady Rasellia if you could follow me with the light please. Be sure to follow my foot prints as exact as possible. I would suggest the rest of you keep watch and do not move. I have only secured to the table and have yet to travel the rest of the room. From the looks of the room a fire trap has went off but these bodies were not killed by fire. The blood is still in liquid form and not charred like the appearance of most of the room. Judging by these crates and the beds we are in a guarded store room of some kind." Calthoric slowly moves to north wall being sure to watch the floor for outlines in the blood where it could have seeped through cracks of a specific brick to indicate a hidden door in the floor or pressure plate hiding a mechanism.

    After searching the natural cavern structure, you find no set traps, only the remnants of sprung traps, most of them destroyed beyond repair. You notice an area on the floor that looks to be a secret hiding place (P7) and you notice that Ras keeps looking to that spot as well. At that spot, it appears that another type of stone was placed over this spot and sealed with some sort of mortar.

    He points to the ground in the general area. Calthoric moves next to the questionable slab and kneels into the muck. He slowly drags his finger tips around the mortar checking it throughly for creaks and hidden levers. The mock nobleman unbuttons the front of his leather armor and pulls out a finely crafted fold of leather inlaid with many ornate markings. Untying the string Calthoric unfolds the leather case to display a set of finely crafted assortment of tools. Running his index finger over the instruments one by one he rests on the tool he was looking for. It looks like a small version of a mining pick and he slowly starts chewing away at the mason.

    "I would stand back as I have been known to accidentally release a poison gas cloud or a burst of flame doing this. Unfortunately Lady Rasellia I will need the light and if you could stand 10 paces to the left of me would be most useful. Master Thoreal, Master Bolvar if you would, check those crates and shelves for anything that might aid our journey."

    Calthoric slowly chips away at the mortar, it comes slowly off and after an hour of hard work the stone is able to be lifted off. Under the stone you can see a steel box with a lock on the top.

    You soon have a small fire cracking in the cave, the light lightly licking the cave walls. The sun seems to have set outside. Thoreal you see the weapon's rack, however, the rack seems to have been severely destroyed by the fire. You find a lot of parts of weapons but nothing that is usable or sellable.

    Calthoric looks around the box to make sure that no mechanism is attached to the box. Satisfied that it is safe he picks the box out of the hole and moves to the fire. Sitting cross-legged he places the box on his lap and looks more closely with the lock. He is too engrossed with the thing to really pay any attention to others as they do whatever it is they are doing. Calthoric always liked puzzles and he sees opening locks at the ultimate puzzle. Once again he opens his leather case and selects two different instruments. One of them is a long pointed device that is serrated on side. The other instrument was curved at the end with a flat tip. Calthoric gently works the devices into the lock.

    After a few moments *SNAP* the lock on the box springs open along with the boxes lid. Gauzing inside in the pale fire light, you see two objects in the box, a sack and another object.
