Tarim looks over the hologram and listens in. "Perhaps you should talk to them then, but again. No guarantees." Then he turns and wanders into the citadel. "Come on, I'll escort you. But I'm afraid your comrades have to stay outside." The servant glances at the hipolite and his golem.

[Isolation Chamber]

"Of course, but even draining the air around the body will create insufferable cold, yes?" He turns to her again with his palms showing. "But what if you had your own miniature sun that you could drain heat from? It wouldn't last as long as the actual sun of course, but it could be recharged. How does that sound as a solution to your problem?" Ryhe asks.

[The Fox Inn]

As Obriane uses her spirit-sense, the long, shadowy thing seems to come more into focus. It does indeed look like a long, skinny, pitch-black centipede with long, crooked legs and bright red eyes. It stares back at the changeling.

"I come from the King," it says, its voice full of clicks and hisses.

[The Fox Inn]

"Stop right there." Obriane commands the spirit, as a changeling she actually had some authority over spirits which is how she actually could banish them. She would have been spooked by it if she hadn't to deal with this kind of things every day. Spirits were swarming her. "What 'king' has sent you?" She demands in case it stops coming closer to her.

[Hattish Thing]

Shoyler smiles and adjusts his coat a tad, making the effort to rub some dirt away from his armor and generally look a bit more appealing. He didn't want to walk in and plead to the council looking like some barbaric individual. Hrrm.... Alright. Thank you for believing in my cause enough to let me appeal, at least. I cannot say how invaluable your assistance will be, even if your council continues it's path of inaction. The cleric frowns a bit as Tarim requests for his friends to stay, but he simply nods and looks back, silently apologizing. However, this was something he had to do. No point in complaining about it. Even if he has to do it alone...

So, Shoyler will follow the pit lord into the depths of Light's Heart.

Knock knock knock. "Obriane? You're not asleep yet, are you? Can I come in?" Comes the sound of Kitty's voice at the door. What terrible timing, or maybe good timing. Who knows?

Kanya frowns and asks, "A miniature sun? But...How is that possible?"

Jacob grabs his pad and scribbles another note, adding to it as Marcus' explanation continues. Eventually, he hands over the pad, which now reads:



The silenced man stands as still as he can as Marcus goes to work again. Several moments pass after the impressive procedure is finished, but nothing seems to be glowing or radiating any sort of magic. Then, eventually:

"...Did it work?"

Jacob claps his hands over his mouth, as if shocked that he could even form a complete sentence. After the surprise fades, he grins from ear to ear and lets out a delighted cheer, elated to have recovered his voice. His moment of celebration passes soon enough, and he approaches to shake Marcus' hand, lauding him, "You're a miracle worker, sir, and nothing less! I was sure that I'd never speak another syllable again...You may very well have saved me from total isolation! I won't ever forget this favor, I swear it!" Quite the chatterbox, this one, without that curse holding his tongue.

...Speaking of the curse, what could've been causing it?

A victorious grin spread wide across Mark's face. The floating books snap shut with a wave of his hand and fly back into his bag.

"Had a feeling it ought to've been a hex." he says, chuckling triumphantly at the excited man. "If you're sure you didn't make any new best friends at least knowingly, then either you've recently nabbed something that was cursed, or there's something really vindictive out there you unknowingly pissed off during what used to be your daily routine. That'd result in someone or something planting a cursed object in your house. What'd you normally do a few weeks ago? Let's retrace your schedule."

Marcus starts wandering about the house as he asks his newly vocal company. He picks and prods at the various household objects, uncovering containers and anything else in the room he thinks might've been able to hide the glowing effect of his spell.

"The King in Rags. Haven't you heard of His coming?" the shadow-centipede asks.

Shoyler smiles and adjusts his coat a tad, making the effort to rub some dirt away from his armor and generally look a bit more appealing. He didn't want to walk in and plead to the council looking like some barbaric individual. Hrrm.... Alright. Thank you for believing in my cause enough to let me appeal, at least. "Wha-" Then suddenly there is a knock on the room which causes Obriane to yelp. "Ah... no. T-there's a spirit in here though Kitty so you might want to stay out." Better leave this up to the professionals! "I'm just gonna talk to it." She glances at the centipede, did it have some sort of master? She had never heard of that before.

[Isolation Chamber]

"It is possible in the world I come from." Ryhe replies. "And I happen to have the shard of an actual star within my possession. Very valuable of course, but perhaps it could help you if you're willing to try?"

[Light's Hearth]

The citadel's entrance is huge to properly accommodate someone of Tarim's size and the interior is no different. After passing an entry hall they come through the sleeping quarters. There aren't many people here right now. "This is where we offer homeless people shelter for the night." Tarim explains. Shoyler might note that the majority of the homeless aren't human. There are far more draenei who seem to flock here for whatever reason. Perhaps a family? In either case Tarim then go up a wide stair leading to a round room that likely is used as some sort of living room. In the middle there is a round table with glowing artifact, providing light in the darkness. There is after all only one window.

Here he is met by two interesting characters. One is a figure standing near the entrance in a fully plated golden armor which must be made of the same material's as Tarim. It's hard to discern what gender it is considering the armor. It's eyes glow blue as it turns to Shoyler however. "A guest of yours Tarim?" The voice is distinctively female and very clear and beautiful to that. It seems null somehow however, as if the person whispered it, yet it's still very distinctive and audible.

Another one is what looks like an orc sitting at the table and drinking a beer. She doesn't pay any attention to Tarim or Shoyler. Her armor is hanging off a nearby rack and looks like the other servants. "Yes, this Shoyler. He like to aid us in hunting down the dark ones."

Kanya looks at Rhye, and says, "R-Really? Of course I'd be willing to try! I don't want to hurt anyone...And...And since I'm like this now...I have to try anything."

"Oh come on, you've seen me played and my perfect save. It even got my name! Irena1." Irena claims. "A god of games you ain't Eliseo. That would be me in this household." She leans back in the coach. "You really ought to find your god skills soon you know?"

"Not now, Irena." Eliseo shoots her a glare. As if he wants to explain that can of worms to Misaka. Nope, not at all, and he's not happy with Irena just casually bringing it up.

"Wait, what?!" If the door isn't locked, Kitty suddenly bursts into the room. With eyes burning with an internal flame she focuses on the spirit, her teeth bared savagely. She apparently missed the part about talking.

[Morty]

The Dark Fae backs away, creeping onto a wall. Kitty's sudden appearance startled it.

[Shadowcaller]

[The Fox Inn]

"Whoa, calm down Kitty!" Obriane says, nearly falling over on the bed as the kitsune enters the room. She really looked scary when angry.
"Just... talking." She insists.

[Isolation Chamber]

"Excellent. I'm afraid I must leave you now however." He turns around to the two women behind him. "But Sekai and Zaqreen, why don't you do the honors? You can take it from here, just remember what I told you and report back everything you saw" He gestures towards the grey skinned woman who have been completely silent until now. "...very well." As Ryhe leaves the room with his two body guards she retrieves a capsule from her robe and then steps forward, putting in down near Kanya, pushes a button on it and then quickly steps backwards as the capsule opens up, revealing a brightly glowing light. "Try to drain it's energy." She suggests in a course voice.

Kitty looks back and forth between Obriane and the Fae before calming gradually. She's still wary, though, and she stares at the Dark Fae with obvious distrust. "Okay..."

"Not now, Irena." Eliseo shoots her a glare. As if he wants to explain that can of worms to Misaka. Nope, not at all, and he's not happy with Irena just casually bringing it up.

Kanya looks at the capsule, sensing it's heat, trying to feel out how powerful a source it is, and then, once she knows, tries to drain as much heat out of it as she can while still letting it sustain itself, and will take what else she needs from the air.

Obriane let's out a deep sigh of relief. That had really spooked her far more than the spirit. "Okay... so spirit, who is this King and why did he send you here?" The changeling demands.

"Come on, I didn't reveal anything. Your secret is safe with me boy." Irena insists. "Just go and... do whatever you kids do if you don't want my company. I'll take any challenge though." Hopefully with pants on.

[Morty]

"The King in Rags is a great Lord of the Fae. He found his way here from our homeworld. He sends us to look for those who once betrayed him, but I don't know any more. It is not our place to question the King," the fae explains.

That sounded slightly worrying. "And who 'betrayed' him?" She was pretty sure she hadn't been betraying anyone, least of all some fae king. She had heard they were the rulers of spirits however so this made sense. It must have been drawn here by her strange aura.

Shoyler follows the Pit Lord inside, enjoying what he sees. The citadel was huge, and extremely well kept! This was truly the home of people who cared about their surroundings, and what they did. He smiles as he approaches the sleeping quarters. It was nice to see such a thing there. It was always so refreshing to see people honestly care for others, and it was so rare in The Nexus from what he's experienced the last few days. He'd never seen a Draenei before, and so looks slightly confused at their goatlike appearance. But, they weren't the strangest things he's seen so far. He doesn't bother commenting, but it's clear he approves of what Tarim is doing.

He looks towards the man or woman in front of him humbly, clearly attempting to look as friendly as possible, but trying to still retain his air of competence. The golden armor was quite fascinating, and certainly beautiful. He couldn't discern what the creature in front of him was, really, but he supposes it doesn't matter. The cleric of Kelemvor will nod towards the feminine creature in respect, before glancing over to the orc, paying her little heed. It seemed this woman in gold was important. Pleased to meet you, Miss...? I am Shoyler Mctowry, of the order of the Shroud, Hand of Kelemvor. I come to plead...

The imp giggles inside the lock. "No, no, once the new pact is formed I can leave whenever I want. Just give me a pen and the contract and let me sign..." Then a tiny little clawed hand comes out of the lock, waiting for an... pen.

Eesh. The Burglar definitely doesn't get his fingers any closer than he can help while handing over the pen, or holding out the paper to sign. The sooner he's done making deals with mind-reading angels and giggling imps, the sooner he can go back to dealing with what he's comfortable with - other people's money.

The energy of the star piece doesn't seem to waver, no matter how much energy she tries to take, it shines just as brightly. Sekai crosses her arms over her chest. "I assume it's to your satisfaction?" The old woman asks in a voice completely devoid of any empathy or humor.

[Light's Heart]

"I am Daeva Shuler and this is Rhix Keeper." The servant states with a gesture at the orc who raises her beer bottle to Shoyler as her name is called. "Cheers."

Daeva then turns to look at him. "And why does a servant of a god come to plead for our help? I'm afraid I'm not familiar with his name."

[The Fox Inn]

That didn't sound good. Though to her regret the first thing Obriane thought of who would pay her to get rid of this threat. It came with the job really. "So where is the mighty king of rags then? I'd like to meet him." She wasn't sure she could take down a spirit of that caliber but even his location might be worth something.

[Ionbound]

Kanya pants as she drains more and more energy, until the room is at the temperature it would be normally. Breathlessly, she says, "Oh...Gods, that feels good...I feel...Almost human again." She then looks around, and says, "Can you please let me up now?"

"I am Daeva Shuler and this is Rhix Keeper." The servant states with a gesture at the orc who raises her beer bottle to Shoyler as her name is called. "Cheers."

Daeva then turns to look at him. "And why does a servant of a god come to plead for our help? I'm afraid I'm not familiar with his name."

Shoyler nods, not bothering to move to sit down, although his armor was begin to somewhat stress his back and shoulders. He needed to rest for a while after this. Mmmm. Good to meet you. He smiles from person to person before breathing in deeply and putting on a more serious expression. I come to ask much from you. It is unfortunate indeed that it has come to this, my brothers and sisters of good. No doubt as some of you have noticed, there's been an ever growing level of aggression coming from the vampire populace of late. I realize your highly esteemed order specializes in creatures of a more... infernal nature, however we cannot continue standing idly by. There are rumors of a group forming, The Blood Brotherhood. A horrific den of darkness where all manner of supernatural evils can hide, and unite. From werewolves, to daemons, to witches... and of course, vampires. Why, the monsters have gotten arrogant enough to kill innocents, and mount their broken, drained, forlorn corpses on walls to prove their horrifyingly cruel points. Observe... With that, Shoyler will repeat the image that he showed to Tarim, through the use of his magical scrying stone. I have spoken with others like us, and I plan on unifying those like us together. Only united can we defend the people against what's to come, and only through combat can we hope to beat them back. What I am requesting, Sister Shuler, is that The Light's Heart takes a more militarized stand against the growing threat.

Witches and casters involved in demon summoning are common here, along with necromancers and the like. With your help I believe we can begin rounding up said evil-doers, and execute them the old way... I know it sounds harsh, but it's time someone did something about the darkness fermenting this city. I figured you'd want to be involved.

[Morty]

"I do not know. The King calls us when He needs us," the Fae replies. "Why do you want to meet Him?"

Tarim would support the plan, but the pit lord realizes his agreement probably wouldn't aid Shoyler's case as Daeva regards the cleric while he speaks. "We'd be fools if we didn't investigate this threat you report." She starts. "But I put empathize on investigate. We ourselves will decide how much violence will be needed to deal with this, not anyone else. You walk a dark path mister Mctowry, a path between justice and vengeance. Just like the burning light. But do not make the mistake of confusing them, we are supposed to protect those who can't by becoming killers, not murderers. I can not control what Tarim or Rhix decides but I refuse to partake in some self-righteous mob and will work against such notions."

Rhix turns to him as well. "I'm game... but kinda what Daeva said. There a couple of others that are out at the moment though." She points at the only window in the room. "Yes, I will discuss things with those later." The pit lord replies.

[Isolation Chamber]

Zareen starts moving towards Kanya but the older woman raises her hand, stopping her. "There is one more thing." Sekai insists. "That shard is extremely rare and valuable, worth far more than your own life. Lord Ryhe can't simply give it to you but he can lend you it as long as you stay within Malechenar. I'd like to offer you work however and set up a payment plan so you may eventually buy the shard from Ryhe."

"I'd like to discuss things with him." Which technically was true. Obriane wasn't some assassin, she had never actually killed anyone, spirit or otherwise and she wasn't planning to now either.

Kanya nods, and says, "Of course. I was going to stay here anyways." Her voice then takes a rather bitter tone as she continues, "Better for me to have died with everyone else than for people that I care about to know what I am now."

[Morty]

"If He calls me, I can relay your message, then," the centipede says. "He might wish to speak with you, or He might not."

"Why are you here?" Kitty suddenly asks. "Right here in this room, not what your king sent you to this place for." She doesn't trust the Dark Fae yet, that's for sure.
