Re: The CHALLENGE chugs on!
No worries, Allan. It's not that people need to be super active to stay. I only need some indication that you're still here (e.g. through theme choice or by answering questions like the one last week). You're more than welcome to stay if you'd like

Re: The CHALLENGE chugs on!
Thanks Glass Mouse. This week I didn't manage to get an OOTS character done, but there is lots of new stuff at a monster a day, and I am excited about my webcomic's hiatus being over, and getting back to posting a new page a week.

Re: The CHALLENGE chugs on!
At my store, we're already putting out the summer items (sunscreen, summer hats, patio furniture, etc). It's kind of crazy. Of course, we starting putting Easter eggs in the aisles in January and Valentine's Day stuff back in December so I'm used to a shifted calendar.
Still, I get up, walk to the store in the cold, walk through the door... and it's summer in there. So weird.

Re: The CHALLENGE chugs on!
I'm preparing to start a Majora's Mask point race (we already recorded the footage) on youtube, where me and a friend have worked out a poin system for each item, and the goal is to get the most points by the end of the race. If one of us gets an item first, the other gets half points for getting it. Faster temple and boss completions get one points and the other none, and there are challenges for things approaching each temple, as well as a point tracking system, and commentary from the two of us as we watch it after the race was done.
I'll be editing the whole thing and providing commentary in roughly 30 minute sections, which I think will get me back in the running for constant submissions!
I just wanted to run it through you to see if it counts for the normal 6, or if I'd have to do a little more to qualify a week.
Its going to be around 30 episodes long.
So we've got (per week/episode) -
- editing the footage to be resized, so that both screens are visible at once.
- editing out any pauses/beginning and ending of clips.
- recording voice commentary for me and my competitor, and editing it in.
- creating the pictures to overlay the video, that track the points.
- editing in timers for each dungeon and any other racing moment.
- exporting it and uploading it to youtube weekly.
I'll post one a week for 30 weeks (ish) and hopefully be able to keep up that pace.

Re: The CHALLENGE chugs on!
Hiya Wombat, good to see you back! I'm sorry about the late answer here, but that sounds reasonable to me. We have never been able to find a good way to gauge video, but my intuition says yes here. That is, unless someone else (who knows more about video making) comes in to protest.

Re: The CHALLENGE chugs on!
Using final cut pro x is different from any of the other incarnations, so its like trying to drive a stick shift when you've been driving automatic all your life. Some of the basic things are the same, like steering and brakes, but the entire process is different. Basically, if I use it the way the other final cuts are, I could seriously hamper my actual project, so I'm trying to get more familar with the ins and outs of the program before taking a stab at anything worthwhile.
