Re: My Little Townie: WW is Magic (game start on page 3)
The end of the hiatus couldn't happen at a worse time for me. Scheduled to end in a couple hours, but I may not be awake at that time.
I will be asleep and then I will be at work, but I have something important I want to discuss with the other players. I will specifically make time before work, but it will have to be brief.
Edit- nevermind, now it may come at an even worser time. Who knows. Lawl.Last edited by Askthepizzaguy; 2014-06-03 at 04:54 AM.

Out of respect for the hiatus, can't comment publicly.

He's saying the pizza guy can't discuss whatever it is he wants to talk about because the hiatus stops us from talking about game information. I guess he has a plan or analysis

Oh. Sorry, interpreted that completely wrong. Was reading the pre-comma part as a statement on its own, not as a conditional clause. You can blame the ambiguity of English grammar, I guess. Or my failing to pick up on context.

Re: My Little Townie: WW is Magic (game start on page 3)
Yes. He has claimed himself the voice of the network, and he says he has something important to talk about. I would then assume that that "something important" is game-related, such as who may or may not be a wolf. Considering the hiatus asks us not to discuss game information, such as, say, who may or may not be a wolf, that would be why I bolded that information. If I'm wrong, pizza can correct me, but I highly doubt he of all people intends to resign from this game.

Also, I'm going to be restarting the day phase when I resume the game, so you'll have plenty of time to say whatever you need to.

I was meaning to ask when he was planning to be around during the game restart honestly because I anticipated being busy.
Didn't mean talking about the game at all.
Gah, and I'm tired and have work so I probably won't be around at all tomorrow either if it restarts. Buuut at this point I likely won't miss the entire day phase as it hasn't restarted again yet, so no harm done!I go by they/them/their or he/him/his pronouns

Re: My Little Townie: WW is Magic (game start on page 3)
Not that I'm complaining mind you (what with me still having some last fianls to prepare for next week and all) but, we've been on hiatus for almost a week now. If we're starting the day again at the end of it that's going to make for one loooong WW day.
But I assume our host is likely otherwise busy, that can't be helped.I'm sig'ing in the rain, just sig'ing in the rain....

Re: My Little Townie: WW is Magic (game start on page 3)
*peeks in thread*
Whenever Disc Lorde is ready for this to start back up, I'm ready... but I fear the delay might have caused some peoples to fall asleep.
Perhaps what we could accomplish here is twofold....
If persons who are alive and willing to continue play would check in here by posting something, that would indicate that everyone is still active and that they're willing to continue. Which could help convince Disc Lorde that we're ready to go.

I want to start this back up. You don't need to persuade me. It's just that I'm having real problems with computer access at the moment, and most of what time I do have goes toward keeping up with my forum games. I'll start this back up, don't worry.

Re: My Little Townie: WW is Magic (game start on page 3)
So I will now reveal that I was definitely evil.
Please re-read the game with this knowledge:
Roles:
Queen Chrysalis (Alpha): smuchmuch
Spy Changeling: Askthepizzaguy
Guard Changeling: Random_person
Changeling: Elemental
Changeling: Chessgeek
Some of those days were laugh-out-loud hilarious, with me chatting up my wolf buddies a lot.
I personally orchestrated the entire pro-village network forming. And am responsible for its demise.
Day 1
I was contacted by Zar Peter, the baner, really early on, and iirc Murska and I helped ensure he didn't die. Then, I was also contacted by Duck999, who was a seer.
Night 1
Murska to be murdered, so I'd have a better chance of manipulating Duck999 in private. He was a third of our little fledgling network, so I wanted Duck all to myself. This would be true if it was pretty much any other player, too.
Also Murska got himself too villager-looking too early. He was a never-lynch, so he was a must-murder.
Next, I chose Lex-Kat for my scry, found the vigilante, who we decided needed to die immediamente.
Also:
Day 2
our guy random_person got lynched, had him take out Lexy as payment.
Night 2
Killed a mason Aric_Kale, and scried another mason, Haruki, thanks to reading the thread and knowing how most people would play mason.
Post 213 of my QT:
*triumphant laughter of the most evil and wicked kind*
Huhuhehahahhehehahahhahhahahaaaaaa!!!!
I did analysis of who could be a mason:
EmeraldRose is not a Mason.
Banjo1985 is not a Mason.
Castaras early favorite to be a mason candidate. Still checking.
Mangosta is not a Mason.
TheFieryTower is not a mason.
Ramsus is not a mason.
Duck obviously not a Mason.
DukeGod is not a mason *asterisk* not 100 percent lock but huge lean against
Meta is not a mason.
Rain Dragon is not a mason *asterisk* not 100 percent lock but huge lean against
Zar Peter is not a mason.
As it stands, here are your 4 remaining candidates for Mason.
Lord Fullbladder, but I have no evidence.
Count Dingdong, who is a must murder anyway. Let's hope he is a mason, so we get two must-murder targets at once.
Top 2-
Castaras and Nonayer.
Meta was lynched. I figured I could get votes on him and not arouse the ire of the masonry, since he was obviously not a mason.
Night Three
I murdered Zar Peter. My hands look squeaky clean.
I also scried Chessgeek to cause interference. Mwahaha.
That night, Ramsus claimed to have scried himself and got scry interference. Which meant he and Duck999 were the seer and fool combo, and Zar Peter the baner was gone, gone, gone.
And the masonry was flapping in the breeze.
I then connected everyone to the network. Had some great chats with Haruki and Duck.
Day Four.
Then I decided to get Ramsus lynched and claim Fool, so there would be three claimants, on purpose.
http://www.giantitp.com/forums/shows...&postcount=352
The entire thing that went down with Ramsus was pretty much my doing.
After he reacted badly and the game stalled, it was obvious he wasn't the bad guy. But I still objected to the way things went down.
Anyhoo, I decided to flip the script, and I talked to the masons, and my evil team.
We decided that Duck999 would be lynched instead, and everyone agreed.
Duck, the real seer, was going to be lynched Day Four, and then Haruki would have been murdered Night four, leaving me and Ramsus alive for day five.
I am fairly sure it wouldn't have mattered if or when I got lynched, and Smuchmuch and Chessgeek were in an extraordinarily good position to have both voted me before my treachery was revealed.
Neither one of them would ever have gotten lynched, IMO, and village would have been too divided and paranoid.
I was really sad this one never came back. It was probably my finest performance orchestrating the destruction of baner, seer, mason, mason, fool, and vigilante, ever.
SpoilerAnd I unabashedly think that murdering Murska and saying I would never murder Murska is perfectly fine and ordinary play. There's nothing unsportsmanlike or unfair about it, in a game of murder, lies, and treachery. Period.
If anyone wants to see my mafia quicktopic, or the villager quicktopic, or wishes to object to these quicktopics being shown, please say so.
I won't post these publicly, but if no one involved in them objects, they will be viewable to anyone who asks.

*************************************************
Fun parts of the game I want to show you because seriously I play the game to amuse you guys not just me:
DAY ONE
Post 71- I open with a vote on my own partner
Post 101 until Post 145- A very long discussion between myself and my buddy random_person, analyzing one another, and then my partner in crime, Chessgeek, joins the party.
A wolf party! Plus some Ramsus.
But that was almost entirely wolf-on-wolf interaction. I am performing so that you may enjoy it, guys. I am very theatrical.
Post 173- Duck got pressure from me, and that's when he started quietly telling people not to lynch him. So now I have to put on my SRS BSNS acting, and pretend to be totally pro-villager.
Post 182- Ruthlessly bussing my buddy to save the village seer.
I am an hero.
Post 185- Amusing, here I am "trying to convince my own partner" that Duck quacks like a Duck. And that Emerald Rose is also a villager. And that we need to lynch Elemental, who was guilty.
"There! That solves the game. You're welcome."
I am such a smartass.
Post 192- I am play-acting convincing my partners to follow me onto Elemental, and they are play-acting that they're not sure it's a great idea.
All in good fun!
Post 199- Something is up. ROFL
Post 203- Seriously, everything I say to my partners publicly is gold, Jerry, gold.
Join us, it will be amusing.
Post 216- Oh, why wouldn't Elemental fake-claim mason there. I cry a little bit inside every time I see a vanilla villager claim from a lynching wolf.
NIGHT ONE
Post 222- Celebrate good times, come on!
Post 227- More BS analysis. Fun!
DAY TWO
Random got ganked, so did Lex-Kat.
NIGHT TWO
Post 284- Analysis Pizza
Chessgeek is never a wolf. Ever.
DAY THREE
Post 289- Meta outs himself as not a mason. So he's going to be lynched.
lol
Stagin' it with smuchmuch, now. Why not?
I believe I even asked him and Chessgeek to vote for me that day.
Post 318- I really do miss Lord Fullbladder, you know. He was a master of goblins, and my heart.
SpoilerPut the mermaid back on.
Post 328-
I am the most trustworthy person in the world. Nothing bad happens when people trust me.
I am an innocent, snuggly, fluffy baby bunny rabbit.
NIGHT THREE
Post 341- More lols
DAY FOUR
Post 352- Hammy acting.
My towneh behavior is very townie behavior.
Anyhoo, then, behind the scenes, we were changing our minds, and Duck was going to be lynched the moment the game host re-started the game. Just ask Haruki.
And that's all she wrote. Utter devastation to the village powers, in return for a couple of sacrificed teammates, plus a lot of dramatic acting in-thread.
It was to be a performance you all would have enjoyed, I would hope, but alas, it was not to be.
I was not happy it didn't come back, but hey. RL happens.Last edited by Askthepizzaguy; 2015-01-02 at 03:11 AM.

Re: My Little Townie: WW is Magic (game start on page 3)
Well, it's been far too long. I've forgotten anything at all that was possibly going on at this time, and, let's face it, I was vanillager and probably as lost as usual. So, able to conceivably get my act together, but following the wily words of a wolf. Ah, consistency.
If you're going to do a claim like this, especially after so long of a break, I suggest you PM everyone involved, so they have due warning to object. If they never see this but would object, then... they may get mad. Just a word of advice.
Glad to hear I'm still a must-murder target everywhere. I suppose it should be a mark of pride, just so long as I'm not the constant N1-pick and lose any chance of playing these already-sporadic games. Just saying. Oh, I'll still watch and have my fun, but being dead is not always as interesting as being alive.
...I consider myself not a bad player, and at times quite good. However, my flaws are pretty bad, and, well... I'll leave it at that. "Luck" doesn't favor me, and I should never listen to myself but always ignore everyone else. Yep, I don't even know what I'm saying here, but it all makes sense.

Re: My Little Townie: WW is Magic (game start on page 3)
I know we've had this conversation before about what makes a good or bad player.
I think I had you down as a must-murder because of...
I think that vote made you look far better than anyone else who had voted him.
That's the kind of votes vanillagers should attempt- the ones which turn the tides toward a wolf, because it makes the wolves have to consider you as a murder target. Realistically, as pawns are the soul of chess, and are the best attacking pieces in the game due to their number and expendability, vanilla villagers should be the biggest voting threat. Masons, seers, vigilantes, and baners need to not attract the ire of the wolves, so the wolves have to divide their murders between those who are lynching them and those they need to murder to destroy village unlynchables and powers. Dividing those murders is key.
All you did was make one key vote in the game, and establish a reputation of actually hanging on, analyzing, and attempting to win in the very few games I played with you, to know that one vote could lead to other successes, made you look great, and you wouldn't really go away as a threat unless you got a bullet to the brain. And when a vanillager accomplishes that, it's a major deal.
You don't have to be scary-accurate, you just need to be there, be a vote, and be a vote that can change fortunes. And get lucky enough with one shot to look better than the wolves do.
As an aside comment, I don't think the village did poorly in this game at all. Most of the early misfortune heaped upon the wolves was the village's doing, and the specific plays that harmed the village the most (me learning the ID of the baner and seer) were because of voting pressure against those roles, which led to them doing the wiser thing which was claiming privately to remove votes from themselves. Not so much Zar Peter, but I got him to trust me early by defending him.
(Defending is largely a wolfy act, but really experienced or confident villagers should dabble. It can be beneficial.)
A lot of the other stuff I did was highly dangerous, and I wouldn't recommend- I deliberately connected the village baner and seer when neither knew one another, which deliberately prevented me from having a clear shot at either one. This is very counter-productive. Then, when I connected the mason with the baner and the seer, that was EXTREMELY counter-productive.
The thing is, that kind of counter-productive, plus lynching Elemental day one, plus protecting masons and seers from lynches, knowing their identities, and keeping them alive, all added up to a very deeply entrenched wolf.
That kind of deeply entrenched and trusted wolf can do things like lynch one seer, murder a mason, lynch the fool, and murder again, before dying.
It's a gambit. But, if I died or was scried, all I end up doing is giving up the entire position to the village network. So it's very, very double-edged.
But really, everything I did in this game, was motivated by this:
That's a pretty fun way to play the game.
Highly dangerous, experimental, blow-up-in-your-face, but get-a-shot-at-stealing-the-hope-diamond kind of play.

Re: My Little Townie: WW is Magic (game start on page 3)
The more you talk, Ask, the more I want to be a wolf with you.
It was a bad call on Zars part contacting you so soon.
My problem was not knowing who was the alpha, and not knowing if I was fool or seer. I was going to contact someone and tell them that if Zar or I died the next night, it was Ask's fault and he was a wolf.
1. If I was the fool and accieentally contacted a wolf, they would know who the fool was.
2. If I was seer and contacted he alpha, they would know who he seer was. Even worse.
3. If I did contact a villager, they would be ready to kill Ask if Zar or I got night killed.
I am not sure if I ever contacted someone about that. I don't think I did.
