A plotclone of Brinika is scurrying around, looking for Keo.

As she does so, she is approached by Reelshka.

"May I help you?" she asks.

Someone seems to have given Keo yarn and now the little catgirl is covered by and surrounded with the stuff, finishing off the last of the yarn ball with small mews.

Brinika stifles a giggle. Keo looks so silly all covered in yarn. She's just like a regular cat sometimes.

"Hi Keo!" she squeaks.

"Hi Brinka!" Keo says. "Do you want to learn how to wind up yarn? I have a lot of yarn here to wind up."

Sometimes, she's a cat. Other times...

"Actually I wanted to ask if you could teach me how to be sneaky," Brinika says. "But we can wind up some yarn first if you want."

"Oh!" Keo sits up. "I can teach you how to be sneaky, Brinka! It's hard, but I'll teach you! In order to really be sneaky, you have to be sneaky three ways: To sight, to sound, and to smell. If no one can see you, hear you, or smell you, no one will ever know you're there!" She begins to push the yarn off of herself. "But I should wind up the yarn first so that I don't forget."

"Sure! I'll help you wind up your yarn!" Brinika proclaims, quite enthusiastic to hear Keo's promise.

Keo will show Brinka how if she doesn't already know. Keo is quite happy to sit there winding up yarn for a while, even in silence.

Brinika isn't very good at staying quiet, so she'll chatter a bit while they take care of the yarn. Mostly about how she wants to be sneaky. Goblins are naturally sneaky, but she's never tried, and now she has an extremely cunning plan that she wants to keep secret for now.

"The first step to be sneaky is to think of how someone else would notice you, and then not do that," Keo explains. She looks over at Brinka's feet. "If you're wearing the hard foot-covers, it's harder to be quiet. But you're small, so it'll be easier to be quiet and not be seen if you know how. I sneak around a lot and no one notices me!"

[Looking for Copi]

"Alright..." Obriane still didn't feel very comfortable around the campsite, too many spirits around here for her taste. "What does she look like?"

[Looking for Copi]

"Um..." Kitty isn't sure how to describe the oddities that Copi has. Best just describe the big things. "Well she has long, green hair. It's pretty dark. And her eyes are bright blue." She explains as they leave the main lodge and head toward the cabins.

This woman doesn't feel anything by halves, does she?

Well Justin, your shining moment awaits. Platitudes and smartmouthed quips will go nowhere. Honesty is your best policy but your worst subject. So, how do you get the ball rolling.

"Alyca," he starts, "it's really good to see you alive." He leans in against the headboard of her bed. "Your sister said you've been distraught since the crash, I wanted to know what I could do to help."

Alyca is not emotionally stable. She is much more fragile than Justin could ever have imagined. She lived an awful life until recent days. She was raised in a cage like an animal without ever meeting her mother or father. She realized at a young age that others who were caged as she was were being purchased as sacrifices and playthings for monsters that were superior to her not in skill or breeding but luck of birth! She heard that those who were not sold were chopped up into a gruesome repast for the ravenous beasts that were locked away up above. She was sold, abused, and black curtained until she was rescued by WATCH not too long ago. All this she survived, but not without terrible scars that only time can heal.

When she hits rock bottom, she really hits rock bottom. This disaster nearly destroyed her both emotionally and physically. He was her gallant prince, and she was a highly trained and highly paid biological warfare and espionage specialist.

Her life had finally taken a turn for the better. For once, she was genuinely happy. Then, in a single minute, she nearly lost it all.

For these reasons, Alyca reacts quite poorly to Justin's opening bid. She curls up into a ball such that she is occupying the least amount of space she physically can. She's a pitiful, wounded creature hiding in the shadows as if waiting to die.

At least she is willing to converse with Justin!

"You can leave me alone. You can leave me alone and never speak to me again."

Oh...

That's not good at all!

There is a buzzing, like something very big and rather far off is flying around, and if the pair looks up, they should see what appears to be a woman in green being held aloft by a green blur. It's Copi, and she's coming in Kitty's general direction (but definitely not straight at her).

What whimsical adventures await Annie I wonder? "...is that her?" Alas Obriane can't make a Mary Poppin reference, this saddens me.

"My shoes are soft," Brinika says, wriggling her toes in them. "And I know being small makes it easier. Goblins are good at sneaking because we're small."

"Soft foot covers help! Then you just need to know how to move quietly, and be not seen, and know how to not be smelled." Keo suddenly rolls over and lands on all fours. "And being not smelled is easy, since a lot of people here don't smell well."

"I don't think most people smell things like catpeople do," Brinika says, her ears twitching. "I know Wolfen and Welfen do, and Tuskfang does too. But humans or goblins can't. And I don't think I can walk on my hands and legs like you can."

"There will be some risk, then, but likely that we can handle. The 'Mortico' is not known to us, but if we find information relevant to the child's safety, you will be informed."

The machine unfolds itself, standing up once again.

"Choir. You are ready to depart? Affirm."

Choir looked down at the machine and simply nodded.

What else was she to do?

Though when the other... when... Candace spoke... once more she felt that strange sensation of... something... pleasant. She didn't know what the feeling meant. But it was nice.

"Yes. I enjoyed your song. I would like to hear it again," Choir said. She tried her best to imitate the way the humans pulled back their lips from their teeth when they were pleased with something, but she wasn't sure if she got it right. Though as she thought her gaze fell to the floor. "I think I understand now why communion with humans didn't work. I think I know how to join a human's voice with my choir. Maybe... I'll have to try with other creatures who have a great tumor of neurons inside their head until I get it right..." Then she looked back up at Candace and tried her best to 'smile' again. "When I'm myself again you can be part of my choir. My voices will be far more beautiful, I'm sure. And then I'll know how to dance. And why waiting on a lover is important."

His opening was supposed to be as inoffensive as possible. Now that that's failed he'll have to try something else. He lowers himself closer to Alyca's eye level. "Please don't say that. You're in pain and I want to help you get better. Please let me help you."

Candace smiles. I don't think humans can...join each other...the way you're thinking. Though I'm not entirely clear on how your bodies work?

Choir opened her mouth, then closed it again.

Maybe she was wrong again?

Maybe she was jumping to conclusions.

If humans could think then surely they could commune somehow. How else would they be able to join their voices together?

"Can humans... Combine their minds and thoughts and memories?" Choir asked uncertainly. "So that instead of two others they become one?"

Because if they couldn't...

Choir couldn't imagine being able to endure such an existence.

How would they learn from the experiences of others?

"Humans can't do that. Every perosn is an individual. If they become one, they would loose their sovereignty. It's not possible for us to combine in the way you think." Andy replies.

He is a bit afraid Choir might hurt others to get the combine thing working. hopefully he is wrong.

Not directly, at least. That's why we talk to each other, and tell stories. Candace looks a little confused, but she's too polite to say much.

Humans were strange, Choir concluded.

None of her knowledge about her self seemed applicable to them.

"Oh..."

Talking, then.

She would have to talk to others if she wanted to learn from them.

That... just didn't seem right...

"Correct. Humans cannot be straightforwardly combined. In fact, many would react violently to an attempt to add them to a 'choir'. Please do not attempt such."

Kestrel slinks towards the door.

"They offer thoughts in the form of words, but there is not and cannot be an integration like you describe."

"If you got any questions Kestrel can't answer you can allways ask others. That's at least how we get our experience here." He says to Choir then turns back to the Candace.

"Do you need anything else? Oh and could you tell me when youassume to give birth?" Andy asks (not sure if this wasn't said befor)

Candace blinks. I was told it would be not long after the baby starts to kick, with foals - but I'm not sure when that will be.

Choir stood and followed the machine, her steps slow and uncertain.

They can't take communion. The humans, they can't take communion, ever.

Choir suddenly felt very...

A feeling. She felt a feeling. A heavy sort of feeling that made her eyes feel wet.

Sad.

That was it.

She felt sad for the humans that they had such a lonely existence.

"It would cause the extinction of their mind, then," Choir murmured aloud. "Instead of joining them with me?"
