More and Improved Fighter Feats.
Fighters are just sort of sad. At low levels, barbarians can thwomp them; at high levels, even a monk can kick their behind, and the difference in power between them and an average caster is downright silly.
Fighters have lots of feats - why not allow them to take advantage of it? A wizard's power increases exponentially, so why not, say, Ridiculously Awesome Cleave or Legendary Weapon Mastery?
I would suggest allowing feats that would permit much greater effectiveness.
A few crude examples:
1. Bisection
Prerequisites: Power Attack, Cleave, Great Cleave
On a critical hit, the defender rolls a Fortitude save at a +2 bonus. If this fails, he is cleaved in half, resulting in instant death in most situations. An unlimited amount of Bisection attempts may be made each round, and even if the defender does not technically die (as per some slimes, for example), a cleave attempt may be made.
2. Greater Weapon Specialization
Prerequisites: Weapon Focus, Weapon Specialization, Greater Weapon Focus
Greater weapons specialization gives a +2 (culumlative with Weapon Specialization for +4 total) damage bonus with the weapon of choice. Only one Greater Weapon Specialization may be had per five points of BAB.
3. Greater Weapon Focus:
Prerequisites: Weapon Focus, Weapon Specialization.
Greater weapon focus gives a +2 (Culmulative with weapon focus for +3 total) attack bonus with the weapon of choice. Only one Greater Weapon Focus may be had per five points of BAB.
3. Legendary Weapon Master
Prerequisites: Weapon Focus, Weapon Specialization, Greater Weapon Focus, Greater Weapon Specialization, Combat Expertise, Combat Reflexes, 8 or more levels of Fighter.
Legendary Weapon Master essentially means that you're likely the best user of a given weapon on the plane. You've used it more than just about anyone. A +2 bonus to hit and damage is granted by this feat, and it stacks with the others.
Only one Legendary Weapon Master feat may be had, period.
These are just a few ideas. While they seem insane, remember that it's all but impossible for any class other than a fighter to obtain them.20 minutes. Out front. Pufferfish.

Re: More and Improved Fighter Feats.
Hmm... Bisection is the same as Devastation Critical, an epic feat.
Greater Weapon Focus and Specialization already exists, though your Focus feat is stronger. Your Legendary feat gives both Focus and Specialization, stacking with the previous ones. Powerful at low level, not so much at higher level.
Fighters would need something that gives more than just to-hit and damage bonuses.
And for the record, at lower levels, a fighter can own a barbarian :p

And much as I hate to admit it, a monk can never kick a fighter's behind.

Re: More and Improved Fighter Feats.
Bisection is a buffed Devastating Crit. and Dev Crit is pretty broken outside of epic. Feats 2 and 3 exist with different bonuses and Feat 4 is a step on an existing feat tree. Feats 2-4 are also slightly weaker than the existing feats.
Most monk abilities have no effect on or prose no problems to full BAB classes. At low levels, fighters tend to "own" anyone who can't fly or have something that forces a will save.Gitp's No. 1 Cake hater
