1. I thought I was GMing the plot.
2. My post: "Watch the poison oak" Your post: "Sylvia is nowhere near any poison oak". It's not really collaborative if one player negates the scene description or other input of another player. Even if the first player isn't the GM (which I thought I was), it's best to let everyone's participation add to the scene.


In the case of the plant descriptions, if we let stand that there isn't any poison oak nearby, it makes Happy look foolish. Which isn't a problem in itself - I already made her look foolish by having her get Sophia's name wrong - I just don't want her to be foolish in this particular subject area. She's a barbarian. Identifying common natural hazards is simple for her.

In the case of the encounter, I know you want to put Sophia up against a Titan, because that is where her strengths lie. Ordinarily, I'd be okay with this - I'm all in favour of collaborative story telling, but it's actually not compatible with the encounter I had in mind. The scene, the lake, the pretty flowers, the music... it's all leading up to something and it won't work if a Titan or other monster stomps all over the place first.

I must apologize for pretty much up and vanishing the past week or so. It's just been a lot of stuff piled on over on my end and it's left my creative brain more or less just drained of any energy or will to do pretty much anything.

A pistol won't deafen you, and suppressors can be added to decrease the sound made when fired. And a gun is not the weapon of a coward, it's the weapon of the pragmatist, due to the quick kill, distance decreasing your chances of being hit, and the deadly force.

Quick question, how do most people handle multiple locations? Is your character only in one place, do you have multiple characters? Do you only post in one thread at a time?

I started in the dnd games but grew tired of the rules and delay between activity.

Hello! And welcome! You seem to be doing well so far.

It's generally presumed that each character is only in one place at a time, but it's fairly common to play them in multiple places at the same (Out of Character) time. That's called plot-cloning, and there's some handwave about one scene taking place before or after the other.
Most of us also have multiple characters.

Contrary to what my latest post my suggest( Here if anyone is curious), I'm not going to be posting very often. I don't believe I'm even going to be doing that big final plot I had planned. Simply put, I'm probably not going to interact much at all even when I do post something. Continually forcing myself to attempt a scene still feels too much like an obligation than fun now days, and I apologize for that, but if I can't have fun doing this, it's better not to force it.

That said, from time to time I'll probably post something interesting here or there for people to read at least.

To be fair, the Wall Witch does specialize in word-curses. If it's a world spanning effect I'd expect someone or other to notice.
