I always assumed the potion Nale is drinking here was Healing. But his damage is unchanged in the following panels. It must have been Protection from Negative Energy.

Huh. You're right. He even mentions the potion. I guess we should have seen it earlier since all healing potions are red.

But in the last panel of this comic http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0708.html we see Tsukiko animate a hobgoblin as a wight and it looks nothing like her previous wights.

It's a pity we can't see Isamu's wight feet, or his mouth in normal conditions. Here he is munching and we can't see his teeth. The question would be if pointy canines on the lower jaw are part of being a wight or come from the living species.

Not sure if its been mentioned but I just noticed in http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0619.html

The MOB characters in the second last panel have name tags and the window reads close enough to "Blizzard Entertainment".

Kinda funny considering Haley's new ice theme.

What does the sign say, anyway? "Blizzard" is pretty clear, and the bottom line is something like "Bistrorant"? A bistro restaurant? Or perhaps some pun I'm missing?

The first word seems to be Blizzar... and then two more symbols, neither looking like a D and there might be an apostrophe. I guess Blizzari's. (Which might be a pun on stereotypical Italian accents?)
The second word might be Ristorante, which is Italian for Restaurant.

If you flip the comic and zoom in a lot you can almost read it, it's that the forum prohibits posting edited comics else I would put a picture here, or a couple with shape outlines.

As pointed out, its a clear parody of Blizzard Entertainment and their MMO World of Warcraft. "Mobs" is MMO slang for monsters (condensed from Mobile Objects, though how that came to mean monsters is beyond me). It was a WoW/MMO parody combined with a pun about stereotypical mobsters being Italian. Im guessing the Giant was trying to combine bistro and Entertainment so that it didn't look like Frankenstein's Dictionary.

Like Yanisa speculated above, I'm pretty sure its Ristorante, to parody Italian Mafia movies which always have Italian restaurants as a front for the mob.

I think there's a quote from the Giant somewhere out there that says that spell for instant undeath (which Create Undead doesn't exactly do) is the homebrewed "Tsukiko's Amazing Wight-Making Spell", which is where Flashy got it from. Couldn't find it with a quick search through the Index of the Giant's Comments though, so don't quote me on that.

EDIT: A quick search for "Tsukiko's Amazing Wight-Making Spell" turns up this, which is pretty much exactly what I was thinking of.

I think that was in response to an earlier scene, the one with the Resistance (or whatever they're calling themselves), because in 708 there is a verbal component, whereas earlier she makes a Wight, just without saying anything.

If I recall correctly, wights are normally born from people killed by wights, so the poor Isamu could just have been wighted by wights. CGU and CU cannot make wights, that's why the new spell was needed (I think).

Unless I'm mistaken, the Azure City wizard here: http://www.giantitp.com/comics/oots0340.html

is either using a modified version of Teleport or is level 18. Teleport only targets one extra person per three caster levels, and he took six people with him in one go.

I had to google that (okay, bing that) to know what you meant. Apparently, it is a secret to everybody.

But there was another bonus! When I read the comic you marked, I saw panel four, where one of the attackers fires a crossbow, but the arrow goes wide. Two more comics into the future, it becomes apparent that there was a very good reason why he missed.
